With Dawn officially logged off for the day, Gray was able to meet up with the rest of the guild to discuss how the new guild house should look. The humble cabin had a cozy vibe, but it was time for a change. Especially if they were gonna open it up.
The entire cabin was deconstructed, and the snowy forest was reverted into the default endless plains. It is just the five active members of the Daybreak guild and Dusk laid in the potential of their new home.
They needed to plan things out. If they were to impress the server with their lovely abode, then it needed to have character, panache, pizzazz, and grit. Gray wasn’t certain about the last adjective applying to a guild house, but Kelsy argued that a house with grit would be unique.
So they began, all while Dusk puffed out a couple intermittent wisp of flames while they made the blueprint. Gray had a feeling that the cost was going to be high, but now they were reaching level 40. They were no longer the broke level 5s and 10s. Summer, the guildbroker, now looked at them with slightly more respect. Just slightly.
He knew that they could make one of the most fantastic guild house. Each of the members used random number generators, to provide a number from one to five. All to divvy up the workload.

Atop one of the mountain ranges that was not unlike that of the Sax’zo region stood a five-story building. Each layer was a different color. It almost look like sedimentary strata.
The first floor was the floor that Gray was a in charge of. Made of smooth stone bricks, the first floor marked one of the two entrances for the building. It had two wooden door that were ambushed by banners of a diamond sun.
The banner actually belonged to an in-game faction called the Apostles, but Gray saw fit to ‘commandeer’ their symbol for the decorations of the Daybreak Guild House.
The floor plan of the first floor was reserved and clearly held the log cabin as a frame of reference. There was some nice blue carpet and tapestry that lined the walls to add some more flair. A hat stand, not that anyone would use it. An area that was meant to serve as a living room with a wooden rocking chairs, a sofa, and a fireplace part 2. A dining room table and a kitchen. All very identical to the log cabin except it was upscaled to account for the new size of the building.
While the general area lacked inspiration. Gray’s touch was found in the 8 bedrooms that were created. Each room was provided with a generic flavor with a bed, window, and desk. However, each one was decorated differently.

Gray never thought he would be here. Planning out a guild house with his friends. The guild house represented a base of operations for his friends. A place where Melody would fish and denote her plans for the day. A place where Akira would reread codex entries. Where Kelsy would queue up to dungeons and matches. Where Madame Cheddar could stand inactive without worrying of being kicked out from some party or watch videos about Elrin leaks.
He wanted the first floor to feel like a home.

Designated to Akira. Fitting enough that the place had the style of an old wizard’s tower. The walls were made of dark wood that was carved with runic symbols. The first impression of the floor was that of a library. For that was its main purpose. Filled with books from another world.
There was one side of the floor, directly above the kitchen below, that was a dedicated alchemist’s sector. Beakers were bubbling and dripping foam all over the place. There was a hole in the desk that was caused by an overflowing jar of acid.
A giant tube reminiscent of a tesla coil was stuck to the ceiling and spat out a charge every once in a while.
There was also a giant lever bolted on the wall that did nothing but look cool. Gray could do his alchemist vocation in the area. Not that such things were needed, but it helped the vibes.

As kid, Akira always loved the mad scientist in all those old movies. The one that would laugh manically and taunt the heroes with insanity and intelligence. What better decorations for his guild house than to house a library for all those codexes and a silly laboratory.
All of this was a fantasy, so why not make it fun?

Then they came to the third floor, chosen by Kelsy. This floor was the hardest to get to. This is because she opted to forgo the simple stairs.
Instead, there were a series of lumber platforms plugged into the wall. Anyone that wanted to go to the third floor and above needed to undergo a jumping puzzle. Akira failed twice before getting it.
Their reward for their rigorous activity was a floor that consisted of more training equipment. There was a training dummy, punching bags, and spears on the wall. There was even a boxing ring. All encased in the elegant limestone walls from the Sax’zo region. Fitting enough because most of the furniture items on the third floor were rewards from PVP.
There was also a round table with a map of Elrin to simulate that of a war room. There was even a collection of wooden horses and knights to represent some potential stratagem.

Battle and rage. Discipline for the body and mind. This was all the cool stuff. It wasn’t just that it was all PVP stuff that she easily got since she grinded all the Sax’zo content. But which group of heroes didn’t have a training room in their base?
And of course, the war table. It was essential! One day they would throw down a map on that table and discuss how to defend against, and or, raid an evil foe.

The fourth floor had the normalcy of traditional staircase, which Akira especially appreciated.
It was the fourth floor that brought them mystical floor that was lit by living fireflies. The walls and roof were the color of the cosmos. Bright greenery swept across this room. Grass and trees that shimmered blue. The floor of the roof was cut by a river where one could see the bright fish gallivanting. This was the floor assigned to Madame Cheddar.
Melody quickly found out that it served as another fishing spot. It was on a small arched bridge. Marked only by short lanterns planted into the dirt. She reeled in a couple of Bouldereyes and Lapised before continuing to check out the rest of the floor.

She merely wanted to bring whimsy to her guildmates. She hated to see those who lost their spark. It was a little too easy in the modern world.
***
Then came the fifth floor. Melody’s designated floor. From outside, the final floor seemed to be made from marble, but this was not what the Daybreak guild saw when they reached the top of those steps.
They witnessed a sable walls that with glass windows that let in slants of light. Each arrow of day just seemed to exhale a dark weight. Depiction of the many gods and goddess were strung along the walls and in the center of the room was a broken blade that was more like a slab of dark iron.
***
She wanted the guild house to show a little more of what she liked. The gothic churches and dark knights. One that found no comfort in the light, but still carried on. True heroes. Not knights in shining armor. A place where she could be herself and see the stuff that she thought was cool.

In the dark floor, Dusk slept on a comfy bed near a gentle crackling hearth. The golden dragon content and comfortable. At home on the fifth and edgy floor of their tamer.
