Chapter one

Newhaven port

It was believed that The Poseidon's Privateer had sunk in the battle against The Barbaric Hangman. The Poseidon's Privateer's were believed to be a crew so powerful it shook them to the core. The day the myth began, the villagers cheered as if they would never have to encounter them again. But the myth quickly became a legend, and the legend wandered around the globe.

The bottles of rum clanged together as they celebrated another victory. The barkeep crept towards the table, filled with eight carousing privateers. ''Ahoy, me hearties'' His blonde short hair, revealed a strong, tense face which held his lidded amber eyes. His face held a scar that stretched from his left cheek all the way down towards his right sided lip. '''ave ye 'eard about the roamin' legend?'' ''Aye'' One of the pirates answered as they locked eyes. His dark-red dreadlocks, clumsily hanged over his masculine face, but not enough to barricade his sparkling black eyes, and his beard gorgeously complimented his cheekbones.

''That's why we're 'ere'' The rum got banged on the table as he briefly looked around the room before he locked eyes with the barkeep once again ''Where's the lassie?'' His tender voice filled the tavern. ''Excuse me; Lass comin' through'' She immediately drew attention to herself. Maybe it was her brown, shaggy hair which were tied in a bun, that revealed her beautiful face, or her ocean blue eyes, her curved body or the fact that there were a bounty on her head, she couldn't decide which drew more attention towards her.

The Privateers had now flown away from their seats. ''Get 'er!'' With a smirk on her lips she escaped the tavern and ran through the village, luring them towards the harbor ''Yer three sheets to the wind me hearties'' She laughed as she jumped upon the table in front of her, taking out her sword as they came closer. The long, thin, jagged blade were made out of diamond, held by a grip wrapped in rare, dark-brown wolf leather. ''I will not surrender to ye'' she spoke as she were surrounded by the rest of their crew.

As the red haired man drew himself closer to her, he softly spoke. ''Blow me down, ye grown into a bonnie lassie'' Her eyebrow lifted as she studied the mans face. ''Jack?'' She whispered as she jumped down from the table. ''Jack Barlow?'' ''Aye. Where 'ave ye been these last few years?'' '''ere'' She waved her arms. ''Let me guess; ye business is hornswoggle?'' she winked. 'A proper lassie never tells'' It was first now Jack Barlow had realized she had a dress on, which leaved her shoulders mostly uncovered and flowed delicately down into a beautiful jewel neckline, which highlighted her breasts.

He took his arm in hers, and began to walk towards their ship. ''Ye changed much.'' ''I could say the same to ye'' His silky shirt had a narrow v-neck, revealing some of his chest-hair, and his leather pants, shaped his muscular figure perfectly. He had indeed become a man since they last spoke. Walking along the harbor, still in each others arms, she asked. ''So which one is ye bonnie ship?'' ''The Fall of Treasure'' He answered as he walked her onboard. ''Capacity?'' ''80 Men'' ''That'll do'' She smiled as she found her way towards the helm.

''Ye not taking me ship!'' Jack snapped her wrist. ''It's either that or I'll cleave ye to the brisket'' Her hand were upon her sword, ready to slice him up once and for all. ''Ye know what I'm capable of buccaneer'' she threatened as she looked him in the eyes. ''Just because ye beat me all those years ago, doesn't mean ye will now lassie'' They drew their swords. ''I'll feed ye to Davy Jones' Locker'' she growled as he attacked her, she quickly counter cut him and kicked his groin, resulting in him falling onto his back. ''Ye done?'' She smirked as she placed her sword against his neck, slightly cutting him. You could clearly see he was lost in though for a moment before answering.

Jack Barlow now knew why people said that there, was plenty to say about Elizabeth Sinclair, but the fact that she's agonizing and provocative is just the tip of the iceberg. Then there's the fact she's also a wanted criminal, shallow and unfriendly, but fortunately they're mixed with behaviors of being courteous as well.

But focus on her as this was why she was often despised. Plenty of days have been ruined because of this and her deviousness, but different strokes for different Privateers, he had also heard she were as bonnie as a lassie could be, deceiving you with her looks, that she were determined and compassionate, protective of her kind, observant and comforting.

Jack knew he would have a better chance out at sea with Sinclair on his ship, like every other man longed for.

''Aye'' he replied, as she leaned forward, almost making her breast fall out, she reached her hand out. He grabbed her hand, and got pulled up. before Jack could say anything she shouted at the top of her lungs. ''ALL HAND HOY!'' As the crew gathered on deck. she introduced herself.

''To those who don't quite know me, me name is Elizabeth Sinclair, from the legend upon Newhaven port, and if ye lucky enough to survive throughout this journey it's either because ye collected the bounty hanging around me neck or because I'd protect ye against any enemies that might come ye way. But mistaken me not. I just won the battle between me and ye captain in less than three seconds, and I could do the same to ye''

''Aye, m'lady!'' the crew answered, waiting for her order. She looked at Jack, waiting for his approval before ordering them around. When he nodded she didn't waste any time. ''Weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen!'' ''Aye Aye Captain!'' as they set sail, Elizabeth started a chantey, trying to make them more comfortable with a lassie in charge.

As she stood at the helm, guiding the ship in the right direction, she couldn't help but look over at Jack. His red dreadlocks were finally sitting properly and a smile appeared on his lips as he looked at the horizon. ''What happened that day?'' He asked her without looking at her. ''What day?'' She tried to shake it off her shoulders. ''The fight between ye and-'' He finally looked towards her, yet she didn't take her eyes of off the horizon in front of her.

''Davy Jones' Locker happened'' she answered. her look went cold and the privateers stopped singing. ''Did ye say Davy Jones' Locker?'' His brown hair flowed in the wind which revealed a friendly but worried face. His eyes were sparkling green and his mustache and goatee seductively complimented his eyes. His name was Beamer Thorne, a feared pirate across the lands.

Elizabeth nodded as he walked closer towards her. ''We had the upper hand that night. The Barbaric Hangman were about to surrender when me ship scuttled'' ''Scuttled just like that?'' Elizabeth slowly nodded. ''We were taken under the water, and before I could react they were all dead. To this day I still hear stories about how I cheated the devil'' ''But nobody survives an encounter with the devil'' Jack replied, looking sceptic. ''That's why they want me bloodline'' She smiled. ''To cheat the devil?'' ''To cheat the devil''

Jack laid his arm around Elizabeth's waist, slowly pulling her in. ''Well, don't worry; we won't let anyone hurt ye. Not under our watch'' Elizabeth smiled as she laid her head on his shoulder. ''I've missed ye'' She whispered as his smell entered her nostrils. ''Ye know; If it hadn't been for the roaming legend we wouldn't have found ye'' ''But why did ye have to run me down?'' ''Whit's fur ye'll no go by ye'' Jack laughed, slowly kissing her forehead. ''Ye canny blether'' She spit out before a smile appeared on her face. ''where too?'' Beamer asked as he took over at the helm. ''The Coral Sea'' Elizabeth smirked. ''I need me ship''

''Didn't ye say ye ship scuttled?'' Beamer raised his eyebrow in suspicion. Elizabeth nodded. ''There's a lassie who can help me'' Jack shook his head. ''A witch? Are ye crazy!'' Elizabeth chuckled as she whispered with a desired look towards the horizon. ''All wenches are witches at some level and if she holds the power to assemble me ship, I'm willing to take that chance''

And she were willing to take any chance or method in hand, which were why people tended to fear Elizabeth.

Elizabeth weren't scared of the oceans roaming monsters, or the death she may encounter from time to time, she had gotten used to it. Her stubbornness were always the one brining her into trouble, and the few times it wasn't it were her willpower and termination that did. Elizabeth would go to any length to win, or perhaps it was to achieve some kind of respect, she never quite knew which one weighed the most in her heart.

''Ye can't lay in bed with a witch Sinclair!'' Jack shouted. ''Ye'll set the whole crew in danger because of a silly ship!'' Jack waved his arms around as he sighed.

''Out of all people, ye should know it's not just a ship!'' She shouted back as she walked closer towards him.

The oceans waves were getting stronger and the wind almost blew his hat off. ''It's just a ship!'' As they locked eyes, her hand found its way towards her sword. ''I was born on that ship!'' She growled as she pulled her sword out in front of him. ''It's the ship me parents fell in love on!'' She stepped closer towards him. With each step she took, each step he stepped back towards the railing.

''It's the ship me mother died on!'' As Jack were pressed against the railing she laid the sword against his chest, slowly pressing it against his shirt. ''It's the ship me dad gave me, moments before he died in combat!'' ''I-I forgot'' Jack whispered, trying not to upset her even further. ''It's where I met ye and ye brother for the first time! Come on! Tell me it's just a ship!'' She screamed, ready to impale his heart. ''Please put down the sword Elizabeth!''

Jack knew Elizabeth could be reckless, but the question were why. Why would she put everything in jeopardy?

''We will get ye, ye ship'' Jack whispered. Beamer scorned as he interrupted. ''We will not, by any means, put our life's in danger for a lassie.'' Beamer walked closer towards them. ''Now put that damn sword away!'' As Elizabeth rolled her eyes, she stepped down.

''We are a family here! We all have a say in any decisions!'' Beamers tone were as cold as it could be as he drove his hand though his hair. Elizabeth chuckled as her eyes shifted back and forth between Jack and Beamer. ''The captain always has the last saying'' As Jack stepped away from the railing he let out a chuckle. ''Not on this ship. Let the votings begin''

As the privateers had assembled upon the main deck, they poured rum into their stomachs. The sunset slowly disappeared, leaving only their oil lamps back, as their light, in the dark. The bottles clung together as Beamer, Elizabeth and Jack appeared.

''The tonights vote will determine wether or not we should 'elp Elizabeth Sinclair'' Jack started out. ''Ye know the rules; only one aye'' As Jack stepped down Beamer stepped forward.

''My fellow hearties. We can't let this buccaneer determine our faith nor our life! She's determent to lay in a bed full o' witches!''

Beamers voice were firm as he made his case.

The buccaneers were listening intensely to what he had to say.

It was true, their life would be at risk, but even more so if they began to pursue a witch.

Elizabeth let out a grin, as she stepped towards Beamer, cutting him off.

''I might want to lay in a bed full of witches, but I got me fathers willpower buried within me. The same man ye fought, side by side with, as 'e scarified 'imself on that ship, just to save ye all, all them years ago'' The privateers looked around them, knowing she were right, they were still filled with doubt.

''An' just like me father, I will protect ye at all cost, even with me life'' ''There's a bounty on 'er 'ead'' Beamer pointed out, as his teeth grinned together.

''If that's what weights yer 'eart, I promise that if it comes down to it, that we will get invaded on our journey, that I'll simply walk with the enemy''

''Ye can't promise that''

''I'm not askin' ye to fight along side me, I'm askin' to 'elp me get to me desired destination''
