The sabertooth wolverine disperses into little balls of white.

Sabertooth Wolverine claw acquired

Good, I’ve finally reached level five. Now, I can go to higher level hunting grounds. I return to the city and check my status.

My stats have gone up but my gear and money still remain in the shit hole, what to do…

I can’t spend too much money. I know! I’ll go around to the blacksmiths and see if  any of them have a quest for me to do so I can get some better gear.

I went around to every blacksmith in the city…

And none of them gave me a quest, all of them told me to get lost. I start walking the streets dejected and just all around sad when I see something really cool.

A female blacksmith, she has long red hair and huge muscles. She is wearing a dirty blacksmith's outfit while her focus is solely on the sword she is crafting.

So much, she doesn’t even notice me entering the forge.

“Hello. You wouldn't happen to have any quests available, would you?”

“... No.”

She doesn’t even look up from her work to answer me.

“Well then, what’s your cheapest sword?”

This time, she looked up at me.

“My cheapest sword is around 1000 Money.”

“Do you have any weapon cheaper than that?”

“No...”

My shoulders slumped down and I felt the grip of depression.

“Alright, thanks anyway.”

I began to slowly walk out while trying to think of what to do next.

“... What items to you have in your inventory?”

“What?”

“I hate repeating myself so if I do it again, I will have you leave. Now, what items do you have in your inventory?”

“Let me check...”

“I have a basic sword, two basic healing potions, three white fur gorilla tooths, two sabertooth wolverine claws and one blaze lizard eye.”

“Alright give me your basic sword and all the monster items and I’ll make you a sword.”

“Can you guarantee the sword will be good?”

“If it’s not, I’ll reimburse you. How does that sound?”

“Fine by me...”

Do you wish to trade with NPC: Susan the blacksmith?

Yes/No

I push the yes button then all my monster items appear in Susan's hand.

She places them on her anvil then pulls out her hammer, she hits each item once then some blue screens appeared.

She fiddles with them then all the items glow and she hits each item again with her hammer then the items all melt into one.

When she is done, there is a sword in front of her. It was a straight, double-edged sword with a red cruciform hilt and a silver blade around 80 centimeters with jagged pieces of bones spiking off it.

“Wow...”

The words that sounded through my head escaped my mouth but truly the sword looked amazing, I had to see what’s its stats were.

Bone Knight Sword (Damage 7-15)

Once a basic sword, but once landed in the hands of the blacksmith, Susan. It was quickly modified using the materials given to her by a adventurer.

This sword is much better than my last one. If I were to sell it, I could probably get close to 1050 money.

“So is the sword up to your standards?”

“It’s past anything I could afford...”

“No, it's not.”

“How could I afford anything like this?”

“Use a method most don’t know. You see, when a adventurer goes to buy a weapon from a blacksmith, what they don’t know is that 80% of all their money is going to paying for the materials so if the adventurer gives a blacksmith, the necessary materials then it will cost them a lot less.”

“Why doesn’t everyone know about this?”

“What do you think, blacksmiths are just going to go around telling people how to cut their profit by 80%?”

“Then why did you tell me?”

“I don’t really care… It's not like it's going to affect me in a big way if you tell everyone.”

“Don’t worry, I wasn’t going to go around spreading it anyway. This way, I can keep coming back here and have all my gear made by you.”

“Whatever, you going to buy this sword or what?”

“I kinda have to since you used my only sword to make it, how much?”

“120 money.”

Shit… That’s way cheaper then I thought it would be.

“Sure!”

Buy Bone Knight Sword From Susan for 120 money

Yes/No

I push the yes button. The sword glows for a few seconds then stops. I walk over and pick the sword up from the anvil.

“Thanks!”

“Why are you thanking me? We made a business transaction nothing else...”

She’s right. I start walking out of the forge I turn around to ask one last thing.

“Why did you help me?”

“It was pity that made me help you. Just looking at you made me feel like I was looking at an abandoned puppy.”

“Well, thanks no matter what and expect to see me next time I need some new gear.”

Now, time to try out this new sword.
