CH.6 The Waitress

CH.6 The Waitress

Griselda and Moca look up but don't recognise the girl at all. 'Could this be one of his past lovers?' Confusion runs through both of their heads as they alternate looks between Draydon and the waitress.

The waitress just looks at Draydon with a customer service smile like nothing happened and doesn't recognise him. 'Another person hitting on me huh.'

"Would you like to order, sir?" She tries to skip over the topic.

It takes Draydon a bit to understand what she said.

"Wait, you don't recognise me from class?"

"No, sir."

"Ms. Everborn's class with the Generation of Stars?"

"I am in that class, sir. I am exceptionally talented."

"Pretty sure you stayed behind since you and another guy didn't show your elements." Her eyes widen as she now takes a closer look at Draydon. It took her awhile before it finally hits her.

"Oh, I know you. You're like the only royalty to not show your element, either."

She looks at Draydon. Firing shots pu-pu-pu. They gazes lock as a slightly visible spark flashes in between. They both look towards the source.

Moca not caring about the situation starts rattling off her order. While Griselda just giggles. The maid diligently takes Moca's and Griselda's orders. Draydon looks the waitress up and down until his eyes stop at her chest. 'Stare'

The waitress after writing down the orders, looks at Draydon and notices where his eyes are locked. She quickly covers her chest and exclaims loudly.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"Sir! What do you think you are doing?"

"Calm down, I'm just trying to see your name tag. Besides, you don't got alot going on for you except for that attitude. Beatrice?" Draydon says matter of fact like as he crosses his arms and leans back in his chair.

"Uhhh", she exclaims in appalment as she storms off back into the cooking area.

"Guess I'm not eating."

"Hahaha! Serves you right! Never tell a lady about her breast size like you did." Grisela could not hold it in anymore as she bursted out laughing.

"What? She thought she was some hotshot just because she's in our class. I was just curious of her name." Draydon looks off at the door that Beatrice left through while propping his head of on his hand.

Griselda calms down while looking at Draydon.

"So why didn't you show off your element?" Curiousity colors her eyes as she stares in anticipation. Draydon sees this and pauses for a moment like he's in deep thought. 'How do I answer this.... Well let's just show them.' He holds his hand out over the table, palm side up. Moca and Griselda gives him a blank look wondering what he was doing.

"Look closely." After Draydon spoke, a thin red light covered the surface of his palm. "At most, I can cover myself and anything I touch in this. Also I can adjust the heat, but that's about it." Griselda just looks at him in wonder.

"Isn't that basically what becoming one with your element is, just a minor step away?" Moca states matter of fact like. She glances at him with a percieving look. "And how did you get injured if you could do this?"

It was a surprise interrogation out of nowhere by Moca. Draydon's body visibly shook by the suddenness of it. Then explains, "It also takes a while before the heat gets going like you saw." He breathes out a sigh. 'Phew, safe.'

"Okay, I'll help you train then." Moca attacks again.

"Huh?" Draydon says confused.

"The last step before you can fully become one with your element." Moca is on a three hit combo.

"No th-" Draydon tries to not take the help politely but is interrupted.

"I think that's a wonderful idea." Griselda deals the finishing blow. Causing Draydon to slump on the table.

"Fine, fine." He mumbles face on the table in defeat.
