Born in darkness. In the cold dark depths a Bright orb brings light to this dark world full of danger. A core brought into this world  by the abundant mana congregating into a single point is floating 3 feet off the barren rocky cave floor beating like a heart as if waiting on something.

*Protocol #1 Establish stable form*

The core Itself is about an inch and a half in diameter starts to strum like an engine drawing in an abundant amount of mana to form a body. Mana begins to condense and change properties to form a body around the beating core. It is and amalgamation of plates and Needles fitting snuggly together forming a shape simular to a sea urchin. The new body was roughly 4 inches tall and had a dark tint to match the Surroundings. It silently floats their and then slowly starts to fall to the ground. the ball of spikes was in a dark dank cave full of dangers unknown.

*Protocol #2 observe surroundings*

The little ball of spikes seems to use the spikes as sensory appendages moving around and feeling the stagnate ambient mana in the air and the soft and gritty soil underneath. As new information was flooding in the core was able to depict its surroundings. Nearby were other creatures that were startled by these changes to their usually stagnate environment came over to investigate. The first creature to arrive was an Iron Gecko. It was 6 inches long and had plates layered on its skin that looked like rusted iron instead of scales. It had a mouth full of pointy teeth used to eat insects and had a soft underbelly to stick to the slickest of surfaces. As it inspected the mysterious object something unexpected happened.

*Protocol #3 initialized Eliminate potential Threat*

The Urchin body started to glow with mana compressing it on a single spike aiming at the iron gecko. The mana worked as a reinforcement and a propellant as the pressure built up under the spike and shot the reinforced spike at the iron Gecko. The spike whistled through the air as it tore its way through the iron geckos head pinning it to the wall. 

Threat eliminated.

*Protocol #4 establish Ego*

The urchin starts to glow brightly gathering the abundant mana from the ground and air to establish a Mind with the motivation to grow. In the process scaring away all potential threats going dormant for about a year and a half undergoing major changes.
