Have you ever wondered where you'd end up after death? Because, apparently, your new life starts as soon as the old one ends.

Now, I wasn't much in life. Just out of collage with a degree in chemistry and about to start my first day on the job. Well, more like intern, but you get what I mean.

Anyways, I'm dead. From what I could see from my last moments, a truck spun out of control while I was crossing. I didn't die to the truck crashing into me directly, I died after I got flung into something, I'm guessing a pole.

After freaking out a bit about said death, I've realized that I'm going to be reborn. However, currently my body is in a zygote, meaning there isn't much to do...

This... system is odd in ways I couldn't describe properly. I don't remember my old name but that seems appropriate for a reincarnation, my body hasn't even formed, so the race being unknown fits. Those titles are...one is pretty self explanatory, the other however:

Title: The Editor

Effect: You may freely edit anything about anything you are currently touching. The effects of an edit on living objects shall take 1 day to finalize. Can't be used while in combat.

If this was a game, that would be overwhelmingly powerful. Let me just check on the other things here...like Stats!

Huh... I'm most likely going to be addicted to seeing those numbers go up. Anyways, what about Skills?

Passive Skill: Personal Shop

Effect: Adversity and Improvement grant you points to spend in a shop which contains skills you can gain or give others.

Passive Skill: Mental Affinity

Level: 1

Effect: You gain (Skill Level) extra minds of equal power to your own. It is 50% (+10% per Skill Level) easier to earn, train, and resist Mental Skills and effects.

Passive Skill: Poison Affinity

Level: 1

Effect: Deal 10% (+10% per Skill Level) bonus damage over 5 seconds. It is 50% (+10% per Skill Level) easier to earn, train, and resist Poison Skills and effects.

Passive Skill: Energy Affinity

Level: 1

Effect: Absorb 10% (+10% per Skill Level) of hostile energy used against you. It is 50% (+10% per Skill Level) easier to earn, train, and resist Energy Skills and effects.

Clicking on gacha, I got what I expected. A choice to spend 10 Points for a single spin for any skill related to any others in my status, or I could pay 100 for 11 spins for any skill.

Before I did anything, I looked for a skill through the Search Engine and it costed over 200 Points to get, so to the Gacha I go!

And these are some of the results of the 11 pulls. There were others, but they were things like Seduction and oddly, Curse Eater.

Active Skill: Rend

Level: 1

Cost: 5 Mana

Effect: Your next attack deals +15% bonus Immutable damage per Skill Level.

Immutable: Can't be healed, resisted, or reversed.

Passive Skills: Mindspace

Level: 1

Effect: Your Mind is your Palace. You may shape your mind in any fashion you wish. Your mind(s) are 10% (+10% per Skill Level) more effective at what they do. The Mindspace acts as a (Skill Level^3) space that you may add anything nonliving into.

Passive Skill: Space-Time Affinity

Level: 1

Effect: The timing and spacing of your actions in combat are 10% (+10% per Skill Level) off. It is 50% (+10% per Skill Level) easier to earn, train, and resist Space-Time Skills and effects.

Passive Skill: Cycle Affinity (Life, Soul, Death, Nature, and Blood)

Level: 1

Effect: Positive effects on your Health, mind, body and soul are 10% (+10% per Skill Level) more effective. Negative effects on your Health, mind, body, or soul are 15% (+15% per Skill Level) less effective. It is 50% (+10% per Skill Level) easier to earn, train, and resist Cycle Skills and effects.

Active Skill: Consume

Level: 1

Cost: None

Effect: On living targets, deal (Highest Stat × Skill Level + bonus based on target's % of missing Health) as damage of your chosen affinity. On dead targets, gain Shop Points equal to their Total Stats.
