Chapter 7 - Katrina
~Eden~
Without warning, the creature shot a beam of light from her index finder onto his body. After a burst of smoke, green and yellow Hawaiian shorts appeared on his lower regions as well as white boxers underneath.
Heaving a groan, Eden placed his hand to his face, “I guess it will have to do...
“Eden... I am Guildmaster Katrina,” the creature spoke, extending her hand to Eden, “I’m afraid I could not introduce myself earlier.”
With a nod, Eden grasped Katrina’s hand in unease, shaking it gently, “Um... a pleasure, I’m sure.”
The texture of Katrina’s flesh seemed to be a mixture of human skin and insectoid chitin. It was odd to Eden, to say the least. She seemed to have a beautiful voice fit for the role of a 60’s actress. He could only assume she was taken long ago and her mate was either currently not present or dead.
“So what is this place?”
In response to Eden’s question, Katrina extended her hand, “The Anomaly Guild. One of the many branches of the Empyrean Conservators. We fight against the Illuminati, demons and other Luciferian creatures throughout different dimensions and timelines. You are, how you say, the ‘Chosen One’ of your timeline.”
“So... basically I was selected by the powers that be to save my world?” Eden’s question was met by a nod from Katrina.
With a sigh, Eden looked the ceiling. He always felt there was a purpose for his existence, but never something like this. Despite this fact, it wasn’t as if he thought himself to the second coming of Jesus. He saw himself as a prophet at most, cut from the same cloth as the ancient Greek philosophers such as Plato, never some divine warrior.

“Eden, place this to the back of your mind until you feel comfortable here. Focus on what movie you wish to watch.”
After Katrina’s words, Eden heaved a sigh. Pondering for a moment at her question, he soon decided on his favorite film of all time, “Ace Ventura, Pet Detective.”
The banter caused Eden to chuckle. These creatures certainly knew how to have fun between themselves. Perhaps Densetsu wasn’t as bad as he first assumed.
< I should call you ‘Densetsu no Kusottare’...>
<....That was low, Densetsu.>
Eden found that Katrina had twisted Densetsu’s arm and was fully intent on keeping the vicegrip until further notice. It was obvious she was against any cruelty between team members.
At this point Eden was more certain of himself. Perhaps Densetsu was just as he had assumed. A complete muscle-head and the team jackass. Either that, or he was hiding something about himself.
Densetsu’s aura showed loyalty and kindness, but also a vast amount of egotism. Hinata’s was filled with will and jolliness. Opal’s was that of sweetness and pain. Katrina, however, had an aura of authority as well as complete purity and love. All in all, Eden felt he was part of quite a rounded and understanding team.
Krystal and her daughter was all Eden had, at least in non-material sense. With them gone, this was the best alternative. Beside this, his planet was, for all intents and purposes, gone. He was adaptable, and the lessons he learned from the dragons and other beings were invaluable for his current situation.
Eden knew this new life would take more than a slight amount of getting used to, but at least these beings were better than most of humanity. This was something he took comfort in. Despite the fact that he would likely never return to Earth life, what would be the point in doing so? These beings were a welcome change from most the others.
‘Krystal... I wish you could be here with me...’
