The Nameless Icy Omniverse and the Legend of the Ice Phoenix

Arfrotian walked beside Luvania as they exited the prison, his expression calm and collected as always. Their conversation had taken an intriguing turn as he asked, “You’ve named the four megaverses of this realm, but does this icy omniverse itself have a name?” His tone carried an almost casual curiosity, but Luvania could sense the deeper intent behind his question.

She paused momentarily, as if the question had never crossed her mind. “A name for the entire omniverse?” she echoed, tilting her head slightly. “We… we don’t really have one.” Her voice softened with an almost wistful tone. “You see, even the two megaverses of Dementia and Rodentia, which dominate most of this omniverse, don’t have much significance to us, so we’ve never thought about naming the whole thing.”

Arfrotian raised an eyebrow. “Is that so? Why haven’t they been renamed?”

Luvania let out a soft laugh. “Oh, they can be renamed, technically. But you’d have to conquer them first. And let me tell you, no one wants to rule or even set foot in those barren, frozen wastelands. The mere thought of it…” She shivered slightly, but whether it was from the cold or the memories of those harsh lands, Arfrotian couldn’t tell.

She continued, her voice tinged with amusement, “If you were the first to conquer either Dementia or Rodentia, you’d earn the right to rename that megaverse. And if you could gain the support of either our shadow elf race or the angels, you’d also have the authority to name this entire icy omniverse. But no one has dared to attempt such a feat. It’s… impractical.”

Arfrotian’s eyes glinted with faint interest. “Why impractical?”

“No one survives in those frozen megaverses,” Luvania explained. “The barrenness of Dementia and Rodentia isn’t just physical. It’s spiritual, almost as if the very essence of life is rejected by those lands. Add to that the constant conflicts we shadow elves have with the angels of Luminia, and expanding our dominion is hardly a priority.”

Her tone darkened slightly as she added, “We’ve long suspected that the angels are plotting something. Perhaps they’re seeking outside help to claim these barren lands. Or maybe they plan to expand their domain into Dementia or Rodentia. But as of now, no one has tamed the ‘Ice Phoenix.’ Without conquering her, any plan to take those lands is doomed to fail.”

At the mention of the Ice Phoenix, Arfrotian’s calm demeanor shifted slightly. His eyes narrowed, and he turned his head toward her. “Ice Phoenix?” he repeated, his tone carrying a faint hint of intrigue. “I’ve heard of phoenixes born of flames, but an Ice Phoenix? What manner of creature is that?”

Luvania’s expression faltered, and she hesitated before answering. “The Ice Phoenix… she’s the guardian of Dementia. A majestic and terrifying creature, she ensures that no one dares to trespass into her domain. The storms she conjures are violent enough to tear apart even the strongest beings. And if her storms don’t kill you, her icy talons will.”

She shuddered slightly, her voice dropping to a whisper. “Even speaking of her sends chills down my spine. No one has survived an encounter with her.”

Arfrotian’s lips curled into a faint smirk. “A phoenix of ice, guarding a land no one dares to claim,” he mused. “Interesting.”

Luvania turned to him, her brows furrowed. “Why does that interest you?” she asked cautiously.

Arfrotian didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he looked ahead, his gaze steady and contemplative. “Because I’ve yet to meet a challenge in this omniverse worthy of my attention,” he said finally. “Perhaps this Ice Phoenix can change that.”

Luvania’s jaw dropped slightly, but she quickly composed herself. “You… you want to face the Ice Phoenix?” she asked incredulously. “Are you mad? She’ll kill you without hesitation. Even the mightiest rulers avoid her territory.”

Arfrotian didn’t respond to her warnings. Instead, he continued walking, his expression unbothered. Luvania sighed in exasperation, but she couldn’t help feeling a flicker of admiration for his audacity.

As they reached the edge of Caisilia, Luvania stopped and turned to face him. “This is where we part ways,” she said, her tone softer now. “I hope we meet again under better circumstances. Perhaps next time, I can treat you more hospitably.”

She stepped closer, her icy blue eyes locking onto his. Posing seductively, she added with a playful smirk, “And perhaps you could have a treat of me, if you’re interested.”

Arfrotian’s expression remained unchanged, and he said nothing in response. Luvania laughed lightly, waving him off as she turned and walked back into the depths of Caisilia. “Good luck with your… phoenix hunt,” she called over her shoulder.

Arfrotian watched her leave, then turned his gaze toward the distant, barren lands of Dementia. The thought of the Ice Phoenix intrigued him deeply. A creature of such majesty and power, guarding a frozen wasteland that no one dared to conquer—it was exactly the kind of challenge he sought.

With that, he began his journey toward Dementia, eager to confront the legendary guardian of ice.
