After leaving Professor Bronn's class the trio went to have lunch.
Now sitting at their table and with their trays already filled they talked while eating lunch.
"So... We have that exam with Professor Pate in like two weeks, have you guys started studying yet?" Vitria asked.
"A bit, the Bestiary is a slog to get through...do we really have to memorize everything...?" Gareth responded while groaning.
"Yeah, I can barely remember what I had for breakfast, a single page of the Bestiary is too much..." Max added while moving around a piece of carrot with his fork.
"Hmmm... Maybe we could study together in the library after school? I need to check my calendar to see which days I have free though." Vitria said as she checked her phone.
"Sounds like a plan, just tell me the date and I'll make some free time." Gareth responded as he finished up his food.
"Same." Max responded as he finished his food too.

A few days later the group was reunited on the library after school, after almost an hour of boring reading they decided to start asking eachother questions to test how much they've learned.
"What's the best way to get rid of a Petra Leech that is latched to your body?" Gareth asked suddenly.
"Uh... With Fire Salt! Ground into a fine dust and applied directly to the Leech until it latches off!" Max confidently replied.
"Wrong, that's for the Flora Slug. For the Petra Leech you use Coal Shrooms." Gareth responded with a sigh as Max deflated.
"Ughhhhhh... Do you guys want to take a break?" Vitria asked as she closed the Bestiary she was reading.
"I thought you'd never ask!" Gareth happily closed the book.
"... I'm going to refill my water." Max said as he grabbed his water bottle and closed his book.
Gareth and Vitria gave him a nod before he walked away.

After filling up his water bottle Max started walking his way back, when he was about to go around a corner someone smashed into him, spilling his bottle of water all over them both.
It was a Cloud Elemental, she wore a black hoodie over her uniform of the Long Range Combat Department, the hood covered her head if not for a long fringe of gray cloud-like hair that covered one of her eyes, which were blue and slightly reddened.
Her and Max's eyes looked at eachother for a split second before she ran off as someone screamed a couple hallways away.
"Celly, Wait!" It was Elina and she quickly ran over, but by the time she got there where Max was still standing the Cloud Elemental had already escaped through the hallways.
Elina's Mist hair swayed and half coiled around itself with a non-existant breeze, she looked rather distressed and her uniform looked a bit dirty with mud.
"Uh... Who was she?" Max asked as he inspected his now wet uniform.
"My sister- Oh, I'm so sorry!" Elina took out a small hand towel from her backpack and handed it to Max, who used it to dry off his uniform as best he could.
"I don't know if it would be rude to ask but... Why was she running away?" Max asked as he gave her the towel back.
"We- had a fight... it was because of something dumb and I already feel like crap about it..." Elina responded with a slightly dejected tone as she put the towel in her backpack

"Uh... Well... if it was for something dumb then I'm pretty sure it's going to pass over soon." Max said, trying to sound reassuring.
"Thanks you." Elina smiled at him.
"Oh... Uh... Is she a senior or something...?" Max asked as he didn't know what else to say.
"We're twins actually, I'm the oldest for like... 7 minutes." Elina responded awkwardly.
"Wait- Twins? Aren't twins supposed to have the same Element?" Max asked, confused.
Elina shrugged.
"Well, I should get going- Wait, aren't you a Mist Elemental?" Max asked.
"Uh... Yeah?" Elina responded while sounding confused.
"You can control water then, right? Can you take the water out of my uniform?" Max explained.
"Oh right!" She facepalmed as with a wave of her hand the water on Max's uniform turned to a light Mist and dispersed in the air.
"Thanks! Well... it was nice talking to you but I should get going now..." Max said as put the cap on his water bottle.
"Oh right... yeah I should go look for Celly... Bye!" Elina said as she waved at Max while walking away and around a corner.
Max smiled lightly and walked back to the library.
Max sat down on the table the group was studying in and took a sip from his half empty bottle of water.
"Look who's back! Did you have to ask a Water Elemental to make water or something? What took you so long?" Gareth asked in a slightly amused tone.
"I- I got lost..." Max lied while smiling awkwardly.
"Uh... Well you did say you had a terrible sense of direction... or was that you Vitria?" Gareth looked at Vitria and waited for her to respond.
"Uh? Oh, what we're you guys talking about?" Vitria responded as she looked up from her phone.
"Nothing... Anyway, let's get back to studying." Gareth said as he opened the Bestiary again, Vitria and Max did the same.
But when Max was about to get back to studying he felt someone watching him, he instinctively turned his head to look.
A few tables behind him was the same Cloud Elemental that had ran into him, when she noticed Max was staring back she looked down at her book suddenly.
"She's been staring at you since you entered the library.. is she your stalker or something?" Gareth chuckled.
"No... the last and first time I've seen her was like 5 minutes ago..." Max looked back at Gareth while responding.
"Hmmm... then why don't you go talk to her?"
Gareth looked at Max and then at the Cloud Elemental.
'Maybe I should... Elina said her name was... Celly?' Max gathered some courage and walked over to the table the Cloud Elemental was sitting on.
"Hey..." Max awkwardly said once he got right next to the table.
"Hi..." The Cloud Elemental replied, not taking her eyes off the book.
"Uh... Your name is Celly, right?" Max asked.
"How do you- Wait, did my sister tell you?!" The Cloud Elemental looked up at Max for a moment before looking down again.
"Uh yeah... Elina told me, she also told me you're her twin..." Max said with sudden uncertainty.
"Ugh... Celly is not my name, it's- none of your damn business!" She looked up at Max but her gaze remained there, her face was reddened with what Max thought was anger.
"I- just wanted to ask if you we're fine- but if you want to act like that so be it." Max spoke with a sudden edge in his voice and turned around to walk away.
"Wait- i- I'm sorry... it's just that..." The Cloud Elemental stopped herself from finishing the sentence.
Max turned back and looked at her with curiosity.
"My sister, she's... an absolute Bitch! I don't even know why she talked with you, she disdains Elementals with supposedly weak elements, I swear sometimes I just want to punch her when she says that..." The Cloud Elemental spat the words with disgust.
"Uh... That's... completely unlike the Elina I know..." Max gave her a doubtful look.
"Then you've probably met a skinwalker or something because the Elina I know wouldn't give a Plant Elemental her attention at all, I'm pretty sure she would even bully you if she could, but they don't tolerate that stuff at all here, thankfully. She tried the first few days, but after what happened with Tara Ferrick I'm sure she won't try anything, atleast for the rest of the year..." The Cloud Elemental explained.
"What happened with Tara Ferrick...?" Max said, mostly as a rhetoric question, but the Cloud Elemental explained anyway.
"You don't know? But aren't you from the Short Range Combat Department...?" The Cloud Elemental asked.
"Yeah, I am, but I don't really care about all the drama..." Max awkwardly smiled.
"Well... apparently she bullied some guy from the Short Range Department and not only did she get her ass handed to her but she also got expelled! Can't believe you haven't heard from that, it's all the talk in the Long Range Department."
"Like I said, not really into the drama..."
Max shrugged as he responded.
"Well, anyway... I'm fine, can you leave now?" The Cloud Elemental's tone turned icy.
"Oh right... sorry for that... Uh... you didn't tell me your name though." Max asked the last part with more confidence than normal.
"Ughhhh... It's Selena, can you leave now?" Selena responded with an even more icy tone, which Max didn't know was possible.
"Alright, sorry... Selena." Then he walked away and towards the table Gareth and Vitria were sitting on.
"So... how did it go? Did you ask her why she was staring at you? Is she your girlfriend now?" Gareth asked with with chuckle.
Max facepalmed.
"What?" Vitria and Gareth asked at the same time.
"I completely forgot..." Max responded, completely embarrassed as Gareth and Vitria laughed.
"Well, you can still... Oh wait, she's gone." Gareth looked behind Max and said.
Max looked back too, only to see the table Selena was sitting on just a few seconds ago empty.
