(Lily)
Today starts like every other, my twin sister, Rose, and I wake up at 7 A.M. and start getting ready for school. We put on our uniform and eat a simple breakfast of eggs, Pancakes (we made the batter last night), and bacon.
As we eat we talk about work and school seeing if there is anything that might be important to do today, we have to go to work, and school, but other then that there is really nothing of note. We start work at 8:30 so we spend the next 30 minutes finishing our homework and cleaning up from breakfast. When we finish it’s 8, so we start walking to work. ,
It starts out as every other day we walk along the least used roads and go to work the back way when we see more than 3 or 4 people we will walk on one of the alternate routes we have memorized at this point. We walk in a comfortable silence only breaking the silence when we get close to the building we work in and need to be polite to our coworkers. We both just work as office drones dealing with the customers, and sending the workers were they need to go.
We work for 8 hours and when we get off some of our coworkers invite us out to go get a few drinks but being underaged and still have to be at school in an hour we decide against going with them, instead, we start walking to school.
When we get to school we see our friends gathering so we go over and hear a conversation about the new game system that is supposed to be playable while you sleep. James is talking about it and how he’s already preordered it, trying to convince everyone else to preorder it as well so we could all play together when we get it, we were all in the beta together but only James and the two of us pre-ordered it the rest of them need to save up a bit more money before ordering it. As he sees us he calls out “Lily, Rose please tell me that at least you two had decided to preorder it over the weekend.” we wait to reply until we get closer to the group so we aren't shouting and both of us nod while saying, “Yeah, we preordered it.” and “Yep.” James looks at us and like he just found an angel and says, “Yes! At least you two are going to be able to play Dvati with me.”
After the conversation, everyone disperses and goes to class. We end up spending the next few hours in classes, we have Game Design, English, and Math today.
By the time we start walking home the sun has long set but we have the walk memorized and start walking home along the familiar route the gray/blue buildings, boxes and bins, and the glowing light of street lamps lighting the way. As we are walking we find ourselves in a field of blue light before passing out.

We wake up and immediately try to stand only to fall over with what could be described as headache, but it feels like when you just crammed for a test you knew almost all the answers for but now you know them from two different sources, and like most headaches were you feel a splitting pain. The feeling fades after about an hour but it feels like it was more like a week. When it finally ends we hear a voice in our minds sounding like the others but fitting in with the background noise like the thought was our own. When we try to single it out it just blends in with the background more getting to the point where we can’t discern it from the rest of our thoughts, it feels natural. We begin doing everything simultaneously be it tilting our head, taking a step, or blinking, everything is in sync with the other. Deeper than any bond either of us have felt before yet at the same time not intrusive, like it was always supposed to be this way.
As we try to figure out what is happening we look around to see a fairly standard office room with an ambiguous figure sitting at the desk that appears to be made of a dark wood in the center of the room. We hear the figure call out, “Well this is a surprise normally the ones that are to be reincarnated have to weak a soul.”
We’re being reincarnated? That means we died, but how?
“Well if you would be as kind as to sit there and listen, this will be easy, first yes you are dead both of you, Second no I can’t send you back to the world you just died in though you can get back, Third you will be the only bit of entertainment I get so do please be entertaining, fourth you will go into a world of magic, fifth you will be above the standard for anyone in that world though don’t think you will be the strongest when you first get there you will need to work for that. Did I miss anything? I don’t think so well goodbye if you need anything just call me.”

As this person makes all these claims we find ourselves enthralled by the idea of going to a new world and living more than a boring day to day life. We find ourselves wanting the impossible, wishing that we can get a break from our parents who would rather go to another country then raise the kids they brought into this world, and from teachers who would rather we collapse from over working then let our grade drop from an A. Their voice has a childish sound to it like it wants to get done with a chore so it can go play. The voice says,
“Goodbye, I will be watching you so try not to die again.”
We appear in the middle of a forest that is primarily Black Oak with some Pitch Pine trees. The forest blocks most of the light from reaching around where we are, though for some reason we can see everything as if it were bright as day. We can faintly hear the sounds of wildlife running away. Upon hearing what sounds like a girl crying out for help. We are not the most suited for anything like saving a person in trouble but for some damn reason we feel compelled to go save her so against our better judgment we find ourselves running to the source of the cry for help. Luckily we manage to stop before we just run straight into them so we at least get to see what we are dealing with, but as we come to a stop they are leaving. It seems from the few glances we do get to be a pair of wolves with fur black as coal, leaving a faint smell of burning brimstone behind them and a trail of dark red flame anywhere their paws touch down, they are following a young looking girl who can’t be more than 16 years old. Seconds pass as we watch not sure what to do, as the wolves speed up to catch the girl, but unlike we are expecting them to do they halt and turn to stare straight at us, before the girl points straight at the two of us sending the hounds after us. As they run straight at us we see they have eyes that are they same color as the flame they trail behind them. We freeze as they run at us one of them running straight at us the other circling back to flank us, just before they would attack us they stop and circle us as the women they were following walks up to us, she has porcelain white skin with blue eyes and blonde hair wearing a light blue dress with a pair of boots that look to be a mix of practical and fancy, she asks,
“Who are you?”
it’s a simple question but as she asks it the world it self freezes. Turning the once pleasantly warm and shaded day into an ice sculpture, We don’t even think we just stare at the world around us even with it freezing the fire from the hounds’ stays, continuing to burn. After 15 seconds she repeats her question with more force this time,
“Tell me your names or die.”
Not wanting to die we speak at the same time and say
“Rose Astra Fortuna”, “Lily Aysun Fortuna”
she looks at us for a few seconds and says,
“Why were you following me through this forest? No that doesn’t matter you will die right here.”
She raises her hand and lowers it to point at us as the hounds jump at us.
“What the hell?” She calls out as her hounds don’t even come close to touching us they just hit an invisible wall and are forced back. We hear a voice ring out from nowhere
“YOU DARE ATTACK A PAIR OF ELVES IN THIS FOREST!?”
Ow, that hurt our ears. Do they need to be so loud? Wait did they just say “Pair of elves”? Meaning two elves? We don’t see any elves. The women in front of us jumps back and calls her hounds back to her side. When she does this a pair of elves jump down in front of us facing the women and 1 who looks to be the commander jumps down next to us and asks,
“Are you two alright?”
we think for a few seconds before replying “yeah we’re fine.”
He seems surprised that we talk at the same time but says nothing about it, he just says,
“After we deal with her we will bring you back to our town.” He then goes and joins his group.
We watch what they are doing it seems more akin to a dance then a fight, the hounds jumping and attacking the elves while at the same time defending the 16-year-old girl. the elves having superior range to the hounds are fighting them at range but then the girl who we can only call a mage throws beams that freeze whatever they contact including the air to a lesser extent, this forces the elves to need to get up close and personal with her. though as they try the hounds get in their way forcing them to back up, though two of them push forward and manage to take down the mage girl while the other four keep the hounds under control. Even with 6 elves attacking it takes a long and fancy looking dance, sorry fight before the girl finally is knocked out and her hounds disappear into smoke.
We get brought back to the moment as the commander walks over and apologizes for taking so long, and asks us to go with him and his troops back to the city, we have no reason to not go with them and we need a place we can learn about this world we are going to be living in so we nod and follow them back to the town they are from. After about 2 hours we start to see buildings and obvious signs of civilization, as we get closer we see in both of our visions:

That doesn’t normally happen, does it? Well, it happened to both of us so let’s just roll with it and pretend that nothing is new. We follow the commander and his squad into the city of Thistle Bane.
We get lead to a small building on the edge of the city when we get there the commander says, “I am sorry about this but we need to make sure that you are friendly before we allow you to enter the city of Thistle Bane, so if you don’t mind answering a few questions and showing us your status we will decide if the two of you are aloud to enter.” The questions are fairly simple just name, place of birth, age, any schooling and other stuff like that, we answer at the same time to every question: Rose Astra Fortuna, Lily Aysun Fortuna, 18 years of age, 14 years of schooling. We are then asked to share are status with him and having no idea how to do this we ask him and he says we just need to say or think ‘Status’ and then when that appears we just need to say or think “Status Share’ and pick who we share it with, so we both say “status” and everything blacks out.
