"The Book of All-Knowledge??"
"It has reappeared!!"
The Emperor and the Prophet suddenly stood up. Chen Xiang could clearly sense their intense emotional fluctuations through the Mind Mentor . As for the Prophet, who also stood up, in Chen Xiang's perception, their shock seemed feigned, as if they already knew.
A ripple stirred in his heart, and he quietly noted this point, then grew somewhat puzzled. What exactly was The Book of All-Knowledge ?
Forbidden Object 002... Well, it's just a few levels higher than the Mad Mirror .
Chen Xiang didn't ask questions; that would reveal his own secrets. He simply observed everything calmly.
The First Generation nodded slightly:
"Indeed, I can confirm it is The Book of All-Knowledge ..."
As they spoke, they glanced at the mysterious Mentor, who showed no reaction, appearing as a lofty observer.
The Emperor's breathing became noticeably rapid:
"It's in the Great City? Seal it, no, offer it to the Master!"
"No."
The First Generation shook their head:
" The Book of All-Knowledge is in a peculiar state; it... has become a person."
"???"
The Emperor was astonished. Forbidden Object 002 has turned into a person??
The First Generation calmly replied:
"Don't worry, I'm guarding The Book of All-Knowledge . It knows everything and records all. I'm rather curious about where it will go now that it has become human."
"First Generation, you're playing with fire."
The Emperor issued a warning:
"If The Book of All-Knowledge falls back into the hands of the outer gods, the consequences would be unimaginable!"
"Exactly!"The Prophet said seriously:"If given enough time, The Book of All-Knowledge could analyze how to truly kill the Master. Don't forget the Sun!"
Chen Xiang's heart sank. The Sun??
He pondered for a moment and solemnly asked:
"Is the fall of the Sun related to The Book of All-Knowledge ?"
"Yes."
The Prophet explained in a low voice:
"The Lord of Death spent eight hundred and forty years getting The Book of All-Knowledge to analyze a method to specifically and truly kill the Lord of Twilight, and then..."
It sighed heavily:
"The great Lord of Twilight truly fell, leaving only remnants; the two suns turned into two moons..."
Chen Xiang clenched his fists, recalling the cries of the red moon, his gaze deepening.
The Titan of Death?
He felt a surge of anger in his heart, a grimace directed at the betrayers!
At this moment, the First Generation tapped the round table:
"I will keep a close eye on matters regarding The Book of All-Knowledge . The reason I haven't put it away is that I've found it has grown attached to someone."
"Impossible."The Prophet firmly denied.
"Absurd!"The Emperor shook his head repeatedly.
"That is the truth."
The First Generation said calmly:
"I won't say more. Don't ask me about the whereabouts of The Book of All-Knowledge ; I won't tell you, and don't try to seek it out. I will actively conceal it going forward."
After a pause, it continued:
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
"Alright, my final piece of information, which is rather trivial... The Void Cult intends to initiate a divine descent in the Nine Rings of the Great City, and that's all."
Chen Xiang's pupils shrank.
The Prophet curiously asked:
"Aren't you going to stop them?"
"No need."
The First Generation replied calmly:
"The Lord of Death has already bowed to the outer gods. It has voluntarily given up the Nine Rings; if I intervene, I will be suspected."
Chen Xiang felt a heaviness in his heart. His previous doubts were clarified; no wonder the Great City was indifferent to the chaos in the Nine Rings!
The First Generation then continued:
"However, I plan to try and let the Void Cult reveal news of the Twilight relic to the Abyssal Void Church. This presents an opportunity."
"Oh?"The Emperor showed interest."What do you mean?"
Chen Xiang and the Prophet also turned curious gazes toward him.
The First Generation explained:
"The Abyssal Void Church took a council member token, right? I plan to release news that the Twilight relic can only be opened with a council member token, and not long ago, I placed forbidden measures on the wooden box to ensure it cannot be taken from the Great City!"
The Prophet understood:
"You intend to wait for the Abyssal Void Church members to come to the Great City with the council member token, and then take the opportunity to reclaim a council member token? That might not work; the outer god church members aren't fools."
"I know; they also understand this is a trap, but can they truly give up on the Twilight relic?"
The First Generation chuckled softly:
"Even if they give up, that master of the Void and Anti-Reality won't agree..."
Chen Xiang's eyelids twitched, and he asked intentionally or unintentionally:
"First Generation, didn't you say the Twilight relic is in the hands of a commoner? Can that commoner hold onto the Twilight relic?"
The First Generation smiled:
"The commoner is no longer just a commoner. I found out he is actually an ancient messenger under your command, and this messenger is rather special. I plan to use him as a backup councilor; this will serve as a test."
Pausing, It sighed:
"Eighteen years ago, the last edict of the sun mandated that the nine seats of the council must be filled. I suspect this may be related to the return of the masters!"
"Oh?" The Emperor pondered, "Is that ancient messenger really so unique? Are you planning to summon him as a councilor... but his strength might not be sufficient?"
The First Generation shook his head:
"Nowadays, which false god would want to join the Old Council? We can only start cultivating anew. The four of us will eventually be listed as senior councilors, and if the newly appointed councilor's strength isn't enough, they can temporarily serve as junior councilors."
Chen Xiang listened silently, somewhat speechless. Cultivating himself to become a councilor? That wouldn't work...
He couldn't possibly attend meetings as two people at the same time...
The key point is, what did the First Generation discover about him that was so special?
At that moment, the Prophet waved his hand:
"It's too early to discuss this; the five council orders are still in the hands of five outer god churches."
"Better safe than sorry," the First Generation replied with a smile. "I don't have any new information... What about you, Mentor?"
The three councilors turned their gazes to the mysterious figure shrouded in fog, the Mentor, who pondered for a moment. He lightly tapped the ground with his staff, and amidst the splinters of time, he spoke:
"I don't have any new and exciting news, but I do have an accurate piece of intel... To my knowledge, the great Emperor Titan has awakened."
The three councilors were taken aback, then they saw the mysterious fog beside the Mentor slowly shift, accompanied by his solemn voice:
"The voice heard over Winter City, if nothing unexpected happens, is that of the great Emperor Titan. As the ancient exiles say, the voice of the Father God has sounded again, and the day of reckoning for the traitors and the vile will come!"
The three councilors fell silent for a long time, and the First Generation cautiously asked:
"Mentor, where did you get your information...?"
"You guess," the Mentor smiled.
The Prophet hesitated for a moment before speaking:
"Mentor, it's not that we don't believe you, but the great Emperor Titan and the seven masters were banished to subspace by the vile outer gods..."
"I witnessed it with my own eyes."
The Mentor's voice was melodious as he spoke in a cantata-like manner:
"I saw the seven ancient masters swimming beneath a whirlpool of colors, I saw them cheer and celebrate around a towering figure, I saw the greatest surrounded by dark flames, and I saw a broken sword embedded in Its head..."
This time, the three councilors truly turned pale.
They recalled the prayers from the previous ancient exiles, and the Prophet spoke as if in a trance:
"On that day, the black flames fell from the sky..."
The Emperor stared intently at the Mentor, at this mysterious figure cloaked in deep fog, his lips dry:
"You... You've been to subspace?"
The Mentor smiled:
"I've walked through, passed by, and seen it. I paused briefly there; an ancient master sounded the great horn, and an infinite storm of colors swirled and intertwined..."
"Who exactly are you?" the First Generation spoke heavily.
The Prophet seemed to be stroking a crystal ball, repeating the question:
"Who exactly are you?"
"Me?"
The Mentor rose gracefully:
"I have listened to the high and low voices of the ancient masters, I have conversed closely with them, inquiring about lost secrets... this is also the reason I came to the council and joined it."
The Prophet coughed violently.
The First Generation cautiously stood up and presented a scroll:
"Mentor, this is the imprint of the Twilight Master's visualization."
"Thank you."
Chen Xiang took the scroll, struck the ground with his staff, and his figure slowly sank, gradually vanishing.
Just before leaving, he said:
"I lean towards humanity and have compassion for people; I never wish to see beings suffer... I will send the ancient apostles under my command to the Great City. First Generation, there are matters you shouldn't interfere with; I will intervene."
With that, the Mentor's figure completely disappeared from the hall.
The Emperor and the First Generation turned their gazes towards the Prophet, who coughed violently, and blood could be seen; that was the cost of using the crystal ball!
It stroked the crystal ball and placed it to its ear as if listening.
After a while,
The Prophet trembled as he repeated:
"024 says, the Mentor's words are all true."
It coughed up blood again, while the First Generation and the Emperor felt their scalps tingle, glancing at the now empty bronze throne of the Mentor.
A few shards of time, accompanied by a wisp of mysterious fog, lingered on it.
The Mentor's blurred image elevated infinitely in their minds.
They trembled slightly.
