Where I want to go and why it is not like that right now
In the beginning there will be chapters of dungeon building. That is unavoidable, but I try to mix it up as best as I can. In the beginning I will write how the dungeon is created in relative detail and then I will go to an invader POV. Later on I plan on more invader POVs or dungeon inhabitant POVs to get to know the dungeon in detail while the general structure will be explained from the MC's point of view. I also plan on focusing on the outside world for quite a bit of the first book, as the main players of the nearby sect and the general surroundings of the dungeon will get introduced.
The dungeon building will always be part of the story, but since it is happening mostly natural in this story as opposed to the dungeon placing all his new toys on each new floor, it will be not as extensive as in other stories. Another point is, that the cultivation of the dungeon really slows down as he gets more powerful and I want to fill the time gaps with something different then: 'After training for 50 years', so I'll have to come up with interesting and engaging stories.
Your writing is shit!
Well thank you for your insightful analysis dear reader.
On a slightly more serious note, this is my first time writing a real story. Even in my mother tongue, german, I haven't done so and this naturally means that this is a learning process.
If you want to help then please point out any weird sentence structure or grammar that you can spot.
I also tried using <> for important terms to highlight them. Is that helpful or just annoying?
Will there be many POVs?
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Yes. If you have a problem with that I'm sorry, because this story will never be one for you. Better to quit now then to torture yourself. I will say though, that I plan to keep certain characters for frequent POVs while others might only get 1-2 chapters. So at this time the plan is for characters to have many chapters or next to none and not many characters that get 5 chapters and then disappear. There might be some but it won't be frequent.
Will you take reader input for the story or is it already fixed?
If you have any new races or plot ideas you'd like me to introduce just post them. I have a general idea where the story will end up going but most things are not yet fixed and I'm grateful for any input.
Will you rewrite everything after a few chapters?
No. I don't plan on rewriting everything. I'm sure there will be changes as I come up with better ways to introduce story elements or badly worded things. I will make a change log post after this where every major change will be catalogued so you don't have to reread any part of the story.
I have a question! *raises hand*
Ask away and I might answer.
I drew something for you
Send it my way and i'll be sure to feature it somewhere.
I require your update schedule
Since my chapters are fairly long and I'm not the fastest writer around I promise one chapter per week. Everything else is an extra.
