Prologue 01 - Creator's Challenge
In an alternate world, there exists demons, demi-humans, beastmen, spirits, humans, dragons, monsters and the Creators. With the Creators being the only higher beings equivalent to God, the others squander the resources of the lush planet, waging wars between species, countries, territories and monsters. Seeing the world they nurtured being mistreated to such a degree, the Creators enlisted the Dragons as a messenger, unleashing them as a means of cleansing the land. However, the other species began summoning beings from alternate worlds and coercing them into fighting for their race. Respectively for the humans, demons, demi-humans, beastmen, spirits and monsters, these beings were called Heroes, Overlords, Chosen Ones, Progenitors, Spectral Lords and Bosses. Likewise, these summoned beings could be the souls of the deceased reborn into an alternate race who live a new life with a new face, retaining a portion of their former power or knowledge, if any at all.
With these Champions, the Dragons were slowly pushed back to their lairs, unable to fight off these unique beings who defied them. In the end, all the Dragons either went into hibernation to restore, or perished in the first Aetheria War. Dissatisfied with the outcome and the continued tarnishing of their once peaceful lands, the Creators decided on a new course of action.
As the first Aetheria War came to an end, and two hundred years passed, the second Aetheria War was started. Unable to finish their plans in time, the Creators were forced to abruptly end the war after 5 years of conflict with the appearance of Dungeons. To end conflict which increased resource consumption on the planet, the Creators made Dungeons and warned all races that if they failed to conquer these Dungeons, their existence would flood the world with monsters. As such, more monsters began to arise in their vicinity, and stronger than those in the surroundings.

With the summoned beings having a challenge other than each other, they ventured out into these dungeons. As they found, no Dungeon was every the same. They were all unique, with their own separate monsters and strengths. In only a year, all races came to a unanimous agreement that they would hold their own countries and suppress the dungeons. Together, they established an Adventurer’s Guild whose members were allowed free passage between countries in order to fight in dungeons monitored by the separate territories.
That said, there were still many dungeons out there which had yet to be discovered, and each one was like a separate dimension on the inside, acting like a living thing as they did their best to combat their intruders.
Among the currently discovered Dungeons, there are a particular 5 that have been declared as Rank S+ Dungeons. These ones are famous for a various reasons, with the primary one being their difficulty. It is also of note that the higher ranked a Dungeon is, the more unique the inside of it is in comparison to others.
It has been 50 years since the creation of Dungeons…
