the arena and jacks 3 silver

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Frank was bored. All he had to do was wait to get enough mithral to build his body and for his skeletons to finish mastering skills. Adventures were constantly delivering items to him. So he decided to hire the best music band on the planet it cost him 99 silver a day. Only 1 silver off gold, he found the money here to be odd. It went copper silver gold.  100 copper was 1 silver. 100 silver was 1 gold but nothing was higher than gold. Most family’s lives off 5 silver a year. And the rich about 2 gold.  Even the king of each race barley had 20,000 gold in the entire vault after centuries.

Frank made more skeletons to go out and find books and ancient civilisations just to add a room for his collection for everyone to see when he left the world. He planned on taking a few people with him to entertain him.

Frank decided to build an arena in the human capital to entertain him. He would watch them fight to the death against monsters and each other. But to get this building up and running he needed workers. Frank looked up prices for houses and food.

Wooden houses were about 2 silver with 5 rooms, the same price as well made weapon or Armor.

Stone houses were 8 silver with 5 rooms, the same price as a good quality weapons and Armor.

Gold was only used for nobles who wanted a big house to show off.

Frank decided he wanted his arena to be twice the size of the palace and able to hold 10,000 people at once to watch the matches. He planned on charging 10 coppers a time unless you wanted a private room then it would be 3 silver. He also wanted his arena to put all other buildings in the capital to shame. So he paid elves to sneak in and build his building they worked fast so they could leave as they hated being there. It cost him 30 gold for the land and 20 gold for the elves it would have been 8 gold but they hated humans that much.

The next day frank had 2 skeletons as the manager and recruiter start looking for guards and monster hunters to catch monsters for the fights. He also hired people to look after and feed the monsters.

A lot of people wanted to know what the structurer was for as they had never seen a building like this. They also saw a building so perfectly made that it didn’t have a scratch when made from pure marble.

He had 2 different skeletons put up posters advertising his arena saying people could fight monsters or other people for rewards. Round 1 would be 2 silvers, round 2 would be 28 silvers, round 3 would be 1 gold 5 silver and round 4 would depend on the monster/person they fight.  He also set up gambling space to make bets and food stalls to sell food to people watching. He also hired 2 master blacksmiths to work the forges for fighters

People were warned it would increase in difficulty as each round went up. Frank was very lucky within the first 2 days of the arena being built he already had guards and monster hunters. He even got an entire village of goblins and kobolds and over fed them both to make sure they had a breading frenzy.

It roughly cost him 20 silvers for enough food for all 10,000 people including nobles and if he had full seats he would make 15 gold a match after buying monster food and supplies.  Before betting money was brought in or payed out.

On the 3rd day he got people signing up to fight, they were told the rules of you can only quit at the end of every round, and that fighting together was allowed but you would split the reward and the difficulty would be increased. If they stayed out in the arena instead of coming back in they would earn twice the gold.

I was excited to see the new building and when I heard what it was for I became ecstatic. Normally the only time to watch fights between humans and monsters was to be in them. Now I could watch others fight without having to put my life on the line. He paid 3 silver for him and his adventure party and when they got to the room they even had a butler waiting for them. When he heard the voice going across the entire crowd announcing the first fight between 2 fighters and 50 goblins, he couldn’t believe that the first fight was 50 goblins. he expected low level wolves but he was more than happy to watch how others dealt with goblins.

When the adventures came out in full platemail he was shocked. He expected people in leather Armor. He instantly realised they wanted to stay out as long as possible to get as much money as possible.

The first round was over fast the people rushed in and let the goblins attack. They ignored the others and just killed one at a time trusting in their Armor.

The second fight was against kobolds when jack saw this he was shocked as they had weapons even some crossbows. He watched the 2 adventures in platemail constantly dodging the crossbows and attacking any kobolds that got in range.

Unfortunately they were both hit by crossbow bolts while fighting spear kobolds.

The announcer then said they still had 6 groups to go up.

Frank wanted stronger things again in his arena so he offered a reward of 300 gold to anyone that could get him 2 trolls alive. He wanted proper fights not people just wearing Armor to make themselves feel safe. He wanted groups with rouges archers and tanks now just little teams of 2.
