Seeing how the story's progressing so slow, I'll probably have to make this story into a long one. I mean I already have 37 thousand words written down and yet this is still the introduction. So this will be a warning to all my readers, if you don't like how slow the story is coming along, then I suggest that you don't continue reading.
To answer some questions and speculations about the MC: I will develop him more as the story progresses, but that will be slow and over the course of the story. Also he won't be a massively broken character that is based upon some bullshit excuse like 'He mastered the ultimate form of magic' or some reason like that. The MC will be OP, but only through the hard efforts of himself and his achievements throughout the story. So if you are here to read about OP characters, please understand that reality isn't that convenient. Also I would like to notify any readers now that I'm going to start experimenting with erotic writing, this is purely to create maturity and development of my characters and expand upon my writing skills, so I will be informing you if an erotic scene will be included in my later chapters. Now if there are many more questions that need to be answered, feel free to post it below and enjoy the chapter.

In a dark and dank room, surrounded by dried leaves and roots, sat two individuals around a table. On the table was two cups of freshly brewed herbal tea, releasing a gentle earthly aroma. One of the individual was wrapped in clean white bandages, hinting at the recent battle he had just fought. The other, was a sweet and gentle old lady; her body, almost half the height of the man looked even smaller when sitting across of him.
“You could have been gentler while wrapping at least.” The man said, while gently touching his left shoulder.
“Hoho, and spare myself of your suffering? Not a chance Albert.” She sweetly smiled from behind the cup of tea in her palms. “It’s been quite a while hasn’t it?”
Albert took a sip from the cup, “Indeed it has Beth. I see you’re still in business.” He pointed to the shelf where many exotic potions were being held.
“Haha, you jest boy! Ever since that Finn boy opened up his potion store on the other side of the district, my customers stopped coming. Now I’m just an old and worn out hag, who’s waiting for her death…” She seemed to stare deep into her cup of tea, “Enough about me, I see Celia is not with you.”
“Yea… Many things happened… Celia is no longer in this world.” Albert hesitantly answered, it has already been a while since she passed away, yet Albert couldn’t let it go.
“I won’t pry dear, but just answer me this: Was is during the last quest before you and Celia were going to retire?” She softly spoke as if to console him.
Albert couldn’t say anything, but slowly nodded. He felt that if he were to open his mouth, everything about their groups’ last quest would spill out of mouth.
“About the boy that was with Bjorn…” She asked again.
“That’s my son Hiro.” Albert adamantly answered without pause.
“Ah, so you found a new love then…” She concluded.
“No… He’s Celia and my child… I don’t want to talk about it, please can we move on?” He slowly begged her.
“Alright dear, if you wish. It’s just been a long time, and I’m quite lonely living here by myself.” She rubbed her hands on the nearly empty cup of warm tea.
“If you were wondering where I have been for the past 16 years, I can promise you that I lived peacefully.” He answered while staring at her cup.
“Oh? Was it because of the boy?” She raised an eyebrow.
“Yes, he’s the only reason why I still have a reason to live. I’m sure that if I didn’t see his smiling face, after what had happened… to the party… I never would’ve been able to live on.” He sighed deeply, “Ever since then, I moved to the secluded village of Torin and raised him up to be a proper young man. Haha, I just feel sorry about not exposing him to reality.” Albert stared off into the ceiling, as if once again back in Torin.
“Hoho, I’m sure you didn’t teach him anything about your dirty habits right?” She teased.
“I don’t have any dirty habits. What are you talking about?” He replied.
“So you don’t consider this,” She made a circle with her index and thumb and used her other index finger to poke through, “a bad habit then ‘Big Papa’?” She teased.
“Of course not! It’s perfectly healthy for a young man to do those things, isn’t there something else we can talk about, other than this?” Albert’s face blushed profusely.
“Hoho, I see he’s going to break lots of hearts in the future, with his looks.” She mischievously hinted. “Enough about Hiro, hehe. I want to know, did you see the huge beam of light about a week ago?” Her teasing eyes soon became serious, as if the earlier conversation was all planned out to this point.
“Ah, the ‘Bright-Night’ phenomenon as I call it. Yes I have, it happened in ‘Du Weldenalva’, during that time many people were panicking and hiding in their homes.” He rubbed his chin.
“Yes, that’s what I meant. Have you heard of the ‘Prophecy of Sienna’?” She gazed at Albert inquisitively.
“I can’t say I haven’t. It was a prophecy from Goddess Sienna herself, right after the Demon Wars, right?” He answered.
“Correct, I assume that you should know this, since you were a follower of Sienna. So what did you think? Was the ‘Bright Night’ phenomenon and Sienna’s prophecy tied together?”
Albert finished the last bit of tea in the cup, “Yea, Hiro said he ran into the man responsible for the event. I could only guess how strong the man really was.”
“What?! You mean to say your boy witnessed the person who caused it?” Beth jumped up from her chair and grabbed Albert’s arm.
“Y-yea, Hiro was going through his rite of passage, a tradition in the village, when a sage saved him from a Doppler.”
“And you never bothered to ask him where or what did the ‘Sage’ looked like? Don’t you know how important this prophecy is?!” She grew annoyed.
“A-at the time, I was more worried about Hiro’s well-being, I mean he was just attacked by a Doppler! A B-Class monster!” He reasoned.
“Hah~ I guess you’re right.” She sat back down on her seat, “I was just getting too ahead of myself there dear. To be able to live to see the day when the prophecy is fulfilled was my dream. I’m getting too tired of this cruel world, so my only hope was for the savior.” She began to sulk in her hopelessness, just at that moment.
*Swish* “Father I’m back! Look!” Hiro ran into the shop holding up his left wrist. On his wrist was the copper bracelet, signifying completion of his registration and entrance to an E-Rank adventurer.
At the sight of the cheerful boy, the atmosphere brightened up considerably. Trying to conceal a smile, Albert was hopelessly happy, “Good job Hiro. So how did the test go?”
Hiro paused and tapped his chin, as if recollecting what had happened earlier that day, “Errr, it went fine. Just… I want to ask about the slaves…” Hiro’s eyes fell to the floor, he was trying hard to suppress his anger at the unjust treatment the beastmen were getting.
“I see…” Beth was studying Hiro up and down, “Why don’t you have a seat first, while I brew us another cup of tea.” She went over to Hiro and dragged him over to the table and soon disappeared behind a doorway.
“Judging by your looks and Bjorn’s disappearance, you both came to a disagreement?” Albert looked at his son in a gentle manner.
“Yea…” Hiro couldn’t bring himself to look his father in the eye, instead he stared at Albert’s wounded shoulder.
“Hah~ I’m sorry Hiro” Albert replied, “I should’ve taught you more about the outside world.”
“You didn’t do anything wrong father. It’s everybody else, anyone who thinks forcing their will upon someone is in the wrong!” Hiro objected.
“Listen Hiro, let me tell you a bit about Bjorn.” Albert leaned over to grab onto Hiro’s arm and looked him in the eyes. “Bjorn’s whole village was destroyed during a beastmen raid about 25 years ago. He lost everything, his family, his friends, and his fiancée. So please try to understand, Bjorn has a deep hatred for Beastmen. Although I don’t like slavery either, there is nothing I can do.”
‘So that’s why… Although I can’t accept it, I’ll have to apologize to Bjorn.’
“Ok father…” Hiro looked into his father’s eyes in understanding.
“Good. So what are your plans from here on out? Will you go off on a quest right away? Hm… E-Rank quests usually just deal with delivering stuff or helping to fix things. But adventurers are bound to start somewhere right?” Albert sat back down, and changed the topic to something lighter.
“Eh~? Well, before anything, can I ask you something father?” Hiro looked at the bracelet his father was wearing.
Noticing Hiro’s eye movements, Albert looked at his wrist. “Oh this? Yea I still have mine from my adventuring days. It’s quite handy too.” He showed off the bracelet which was silver and held a blue gem.
“I was wondering, what bracelet correlates with what rank.” Hiro asked.
“Ah, that’s what you were wondering. Well we know that you are an E-Rank with that copper bracelet.” Albert pointed out, “I used to be B-Rank. Although I could’ve been A-Rank if I wanted to.”
“Really?” Hiro was skeptical of his father’s statement.
“Really! You have to believe your father! Have I ever lied to you?”
“How about that time, when Aunt Milly baked us a pie-“
“Other than that time?” Albert interrupted.
“There’s also that other time-“
“I understand! Please just don’t bring up those embarrassing moments.” Albert put his hands together as if in prayer.
“Fine, haha. So about the bracelets.”
“Yes, Copper is E-Rank. Copper plus a yellow gem is D-Rank.” Albert began explaining, “The next tier is Silver which is C-Rank, followed by Silver and a blue gem, which is B-Rank.”
“So it’s just like currency? Copper, silver, and gold?” Hiro concluded.
“Yes, A and S rank are Gold and Gold with a red gem, respectively.” Albert concurred.
Soon a racket was heard from beyond the doorway where Beth had previously left through. “Tea’s ready dearies.” She walked in carrying a tray of scones and three cups of tea. She set down the tea and pulled up a chair to sit at the table where the father and son were currently sitting.
“I know this is a bit late, but let me introduce myself. I’m Hiro son of Albert.” Hiro bowed casually at the fluffy old lady.
“Don’t mind! It’s us elders that need to show an example, my name is Beth. I’m just an old herbalist that your father used to frequent back in the day, hohoho.” She gently answered and bowed. “How do you like Adetia so far?”
Trying not to ruin the good mood, Hiro disregarded the market square, “For the most part, I like it. It’s way more fun here than back in Torin. Also-“ He turned to his father, “I just remembered! Father, there’s going to be a tournament held next month.” Hiro gave his father the poster from earlier.
Albert took the poster and looked over its content. “Hm…” He put the poster down on the table and in a pensive tone, “Hiro, I won’t tell you how to live your life, but can I give you some advice?”
“What is it father?” Hiro questioned.
“I don’t think Romulus would be the best person to teach you.” Albert cautioned, “And I can explain why.”
‘Heh~ It better be a good reason, who wouldn’t want to learn from one of the best.’
“You see, that dunce Romulus knows nothing but brute force.” Albert explained, “His techniques focus on the raw strength of the wielder. If you were to learn from him, you wouldn’t amount to any more than a mindless berserker.”
“Eh? That means you’ve met him before?” Hiro asked.
Albert nodded his head, “Yes, he was one of the first adventurers I’ve looked after, during that time I’ve warned him many times about the way he fought, but he never listened. Now I can’t say much, since if he’s S-Rank now, then it must’ve worked.” He sighed deeply. He felt saddened that his advice back then wasn’t taken, yet Romulus became successful.
“Amazing… Can you teach me too?” Hiro’s eyes lit up, if he could ask his father to train him, a person who once trained Romulus, maybe he might have a chance at winning.
“I don’t think I can Hiro.” Albert grimly replied.
“Eh~? Why not?” Hiro whined.
“I can explain dear.” Beth answered and put down her cup of tea. “You see, your father isn’t as young as he used to be. Because of the damage that your father sustained last night, he won’t be able to use his left shoulder.” She pointed to the bandaged shoulder.
“It can’t be that bad… Can it?” Hiro hesitantly inquired.
“I’m afraid it is. The muscles in his should have been torn quite badly, if treated right away, he might’ve recovered. However, at this point it would be a miracle if he is even able to swing a sword again.” She replied.
Hiro in his helplessness looked to his father for confirmation. Without another word, Albert nodded.
Saddened by the sudden turn of event, Hiro didn’t know what to do, “Then how will I beat Colin?”
“Colin?” Both Beth and Albert said at the same time.
“He’s my first friend and rival! We promised to see each other in the tournament.”
“Hiro dear, remember this: there is more than a single answer to everything.” Beth replied.
“She’s right, also I doubt you’ll be able to learn much from me anyways. It’s been almost 16 years since I last practiced.” Albert smiled unconvincingly.
“Then what should I do?” He pouted.
“Hah~ Remember what you did the night before?” His father hinted.
‘That’s right! Tenga! Magic! If I were to use magic, I can win!’
“Also, don’t forget the reason why we’re here in the first place. Here’s a hint: her name starts with L and ends with an A.” He winked at Hiro.
“Right, I forgot about her! So many things happened that she slipped my mind.”
“Hohoho, Hiro dear, just remember to never say that in front of a lady. Or else you will regret it right Albert?” Beth looked mischievously at Albert.
“Right…” Albert looked outside the small window and quickly finished his tea, “Looks like we’ll leave things here today. It’s getting late and we still have to get our stuff from the caravan, plus we need to find a place to stay.” He began to usher Hiro towards the door.
“Ah wait.” She got off her chair and walked up to Hiro, “Hiro dear, let me see your hands.”
“Eh? Sure Beth.” He replied.
“Just call me Granny, hoho.” She laughed at the awkwardness Hiro felt when saying her name.
“Haha, here you go Granny.” He held out both his hands palm up towards her.
She took both his palms and looked at them thoroughly, disappointed she turned them around and began to examine the other side. Finally, satisfied, Beth let go of his hands and nodded although her face looked disappointed.
“Is there something wrong Granny?” Hiro asked.
“Nothing at all.” She put up a fake smile.
“If that’s all then we’ll be heading off now.” Albert stated, “We’ll drop by from time to time.”
“See you two again.” She answered. Then in a softer voice, “I guess he wasn’t the prophesized one.” She slowly walked back into her lonely shop and sat back down at the table in silence.

Somewhere in Adet

“Kayo, how close are we to Adetia?” The cold and calculating girl asked.
Kayo pulled out a map and laid it in front of him inside the carriage, “Right now we should be here.” He pointed to point just inside the southern border of Adet. “At the rate we’re going, we should arrive at Adetia in about 1 week.”
“Is there any way for us to speed up?” She asked irritated. Priestess Allaya wanted to get to Adetia as soon as possible and start the search for the one in the prophecy.
‘It’s fate that the prophecy is happening now. I know that I will soon meet him… or her…’ She didn’t like the thought of the prophesized one being a woman. For one thing, women are fickle creatures and another, is that men are easier to manipulate. She was hoping that she could convince the prophesized one into becoming her retainer.
“I’m afraid we cannot go faster, the troops would not be able to catch up and it will jeopardize your safety.” He cautioned.
“Hm, then so be it!” She stubbornly replied.
“I have orders from your mother, the current Grand Priestess to keep your safety above all else. Her authority trumps yours, Priestess Allaya, so I cannot do that.”
“Hmph!” She crossed her arms and began to pout. Although she was a calm and calculating woman, she was still a spoiled brat at heart, so when things don’t go her way she would often sulk in silence.

The Next Day
“Are you sure this is a good idea father?” Hiro asked unconvinced.
“Of course it is!” Albert smiled brightly.
They were currently riding their cart towards the market district. Albert had decided that all their beat up stuff should be sold. Their things looked so worn out and rural when they were in the streets, that Hiro began to feel embarrassed.
“Ugh… You can let me off here then. I don’t want to go near the slave market.” Hiro asked while trying to avoid the awkward stares coming his way.
“The regular market square is on the other side of the district though, so we won’t go anywhere near there.” Albert replied.
“Ah~ I just don’t want to be seen in that embarrassing cart with you!” Hiro was blushing.
“Embarrassing? Hahaha! Once you get to around my age, nothing will embarrass you anymore! Well if that’s how you feel then I’ll go by myself. Just meet back at Beth’s place alright?” Albert replied gaudily.
“Ok, I’ll meet you there once I’m done.” Hiro replied as his father’s cart disappeared into the crowd.
‘Ok now time to find Lena. She should be at the academy, I’ll start there.’
Hiro hurried along the streets, heading west along the main street. Occasionally he would stop by and ask a passerby for directions to the academy.
“Oros? Ah it should be that way, you won’t miss it.” The stranger pointed west.
‘Adetia is such a needlessly large city…’ Hiro had spent around 30 minutes looking for the magic academy known as Oros Academy.
Finally approaching a guard that was standing by a fenced in area, “Excuse me, do you know where Oros Academy?”
Studying the worn out clothes that Hiro was wearing, the guard sneered at him, “If you’re looking for Oros Academy, then you’ve found it.” He pointed to the huge structure beyond the fence. “However, we don’t allow knaves like you to enter the place.”
‘Hah? Did he just call me a knave? Breath Hiro, don’t be bothered by every little thing.’
After calming down, Hiro asked, “I’m just here to meet a friend, I heard she was studying here.”
“Haha sure you are kid! You can meet your friend, as long as you don’t set foot onto the academy grounds, I’ll let you meet your friend.” The guard joked.
“Is that a promise?” Hiro challenged.
“Sure thing kid, just remember, if you step on the grounds of the academy I’ll trounce you. Now get out of my sight!” The guard waved him away in a threatening manner.
‘We’ll see about that.’
Hiro walked to the iron wrought fence, reaching for the top, he grabbed onto the ledge and pulled himself up.
“Hey what are you doing kid! Get down!” The guard yelled angrily up at Hiro.
Hiro smirked, “You promised, a man doesn’t go back on his words right?” He grabbed onto the tree branch that was hanging close to the fence and pulled himself onto it.
“Alright then. If you fall, prepare to get your ass beaten kid.” The guard told the other guard to watch the gate and proceeded to walk alongside the path. Waiting for Hiro to make a mistake and fall from the branches.
‘*Gulp* I didn’t think this through.’ Right now Hiro was slowly making progress by moving from branch to branch. But now halfway to the building, the trees began to thin out. The nearest branch would require him to have a running start in order to clear the jump.
“Well well well, looks like your plan failed kid.” The burly guard was slowly clapping while enjoying the spectacle.
By this point, some students were being drawn into the strange spectacle. Some were resting around that area while other’s came outside to enjoy the afternoon and eat lunch. Soon a crowd had formed and was watching Hiro jump from branch to branch.
“You got this! You can make it kid!”
“Hey Anna, isn’t he kinda cute?”
“Come down! You’re going to hurt yourself Mister!”
“He’s not going to jump, he ain’t got the balls to man.”
‘Grrr, will you guys shut up and let me concentrate?’ Hiro didn’t know if he should turn back now, his only chance was to run and jump to grab the next branch. However if he fall, he would probably badly sprain himself or even worse, fracture a bone. ‘Hah… Hah….’ Concentrating on the open space, Hiro bolted along the 3-meter long branch.
“Hup!” He put as much strength as he could into his legs and leaped.
‘Almost there!’ He reached as far out as he could, his hands nearly touching the rough bark. He was already at the top of his arc, if it took any longer, he won’t be high enough to reach the branch. ‘Damnit!!!’ In a desperate attempt he bent forward and performed a somersault in mid-air, barely hooking his legs onto the branch.
‘Whew!’ Hiro sighed as he hung there upside down.
“Did you see that?!”
“Amazing…”
“He’s quite flexible ain’t he, hehe.”
“Tch! The bastard got lucky.”
Stunned by Hiro’s performance the guard stood there with his jaw dropped. “Screw it! You win this time kid!” The guard had just seen what Hiro was capable of and saw that the rest of the way towards the building was a simple path, the guard gave up and returned to his post. Grumbling to himself, “The kid ain’t a threat, if anything he should be watching out for the students. Hmph!”
“I did it… Haha…” He sat there, on the branch, breathing heavily. The stunt had caused his adrenaline levels to spike. Around him, he could see the growing crowd began to cheer. ‘What they think this is some sort of event or something?’ He looked back at the retreating figure of the guard and finally decided it was ok to go down.
He slowly made his way down the branches, soon he was on the last one just about 3 meters above the ground. ‘Hm, even though I came all this way, how will I recognize her?’ Hiro finally wondered to himself.
“Hiro? Is that you?” The voice came from down below.
“Eh? Woah!” Startled by the sudden voice, Hiro’s foot slipped and he came crashing down unto the person below him.
“Mmm!”
‘… How… How? HOW?! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!’ Hiro had opened his eyes after the fall to see the deep blue eyes of the person below him. The taste of strawberries was in his mouth, his tongue was touching the indescribable softness that he could only guess would be her lips. She smelled sweet, just like the peppermint candy that his father would give him.
‘Eh? What’s this?’ His palm was grasping onto a soft mushy texture. It felt strange, the more he squeezed the happier he felt. It felt rough to the touch, but it was warm and elastic, he began squeezing more, while staring off into her deep blue eyes.
‘No… Wait?! Wait?! What am I doing?!’ Panicking now that he remembered where he was, Hiro jumped off the blond haired beauty.
“I’m sorry!” He was kneeling on the ground with his head down. Right in front of him was the girl he had just assaulted. Her face was flushed bright red, he had tears at the edge of her eyes and she was covering up her chest.
“*Hic Hic* Why… would you… do such a thing?” She managed to cry out between her sobs.
“Pervert!”
“Molester!”
“Sex Predator!”
The other people who were watching had seen what just happened. They saw a wild tree-jumping man assault a student of the academy as she tried to help him down.
“Oi! Someone go call a professor, if he acts up I’ll try to stop him!”
‘Shit! Shit! I didn’t mean to do this.’ Hiro was sweating, he knew he had just committed a grave mistake. ‘Though her lips were very soft…’
“*Hic Hic* Hiro… Why would you do this to me?” She asked, while still shaking.
‘Eh? She knows me?’
Hiro looked up at her. What he saw was not what he had imagined. Instead of a traumatized face that was scared of him, the face of the girl was the opposite. She was smiling as if she was in ecstasy, the tears streaming down her face were tears of joy and she was touching her breasts, where Hiro had groped her.
“What are you doing?!” He stood up disturbed by her reaction.
“Hiro!!!” She jumped up and tackled him back down onto the floor. “Hiro I missed you so much!” She yelled as she got on top of him and planted a deep and enthralling kiss onto his lips.
The taste of strawberries were once again present within his mouth, his mind soon turn blank as the overwhelming aroma of peppermint filled his nose. He felt hot, his body felt like it had awakened to something. What’s more he couldn’t get enough of the weird sensation of the girl’s tongue as it ran along his, it was intoxicating. Her two mounds were fully pressed up against his chest and he could feel the soft and yet firm texture of them as they continue to lay on him. He was experiencing that weird sensation again, it felt just like that one time when he had a dream. In the dream he was doing something like this with a girl he didn’t know, in the end of the dream, he felt all his strength drain from him and a deep sense of accomplishment followed.
‘What’s happening…’ His brain began to wonder.
“Hiro *mmm* Hiro…” The girl continued to moan out his name as she continuously plays catch with his tongue in her mouth. They were both oblivious to the crowd that had gathered there earlier, right now they were both in their own little word. One was enjoying a long awaited reunion while the other was in a clueless pleasured state.
“How shameless…” A girl mumbled while peeking from behind her hand.
“Wow look at the hot action guys!” The rest of the guys were wooing and cheering them on.
“Lucky bastard! He should just go die!” Some were staring in jealousy and soon left.
After what seems like an eternity, the girl slowly began to pull their lips apart, leaving behind a trail of drool and two longing tongues. “Puahh~… Hiro…”
Hiro laid there barely aware of his surroundings, for that brief moment that seemed to last forever he was in a blissful state. His whole body was tingling, as if lightning had just passed through him, his mind was blank, and the manhood between his legs stood straight and proud. His tongue was still moving within his mouth, as if seeking for its partner that it had bonded so strongly with.
The girl slightly shook him while smiling infatuatedly at him, “Hiro, are you there? Hehe.” She was enjoying the blank expression on Hiro’s face, the face of which she dearly missed. “Mohh~ He’s not waking up, I guess I’ll have to punish him. Teehee~” She pulled him back in again and gave him a deep kiss once more, however this time, instead of playing with his tongue, she began biting it.
“Ow ow ow!” Hiro cried out as the pain jolts him back into reality.
“Better now?” She asked while staring into his deep black eyes.
“Ah!” He suddenly noticed their position and pushed her off of him and scrambled away. “What did you do to me?!” He asked, while looking at the disgusted crowd going away.
“Hehehe, I wonder…” She teasingly placed her finger on her luscious lips and wiped a bit of drool off. Then, she licked off the drool and watched Hiro as his face became bright red, “Hehehe, That’s the Hiro I remember, always so innocent.” She laughed.
“Wait… Are you…” Hiro didn’t want to accept it, the girl who had always followed him around and played along with him couldn’t have possibly turned out like this. “Lena?”
“Bingo! Haha!” She winked and crawled towards Hiro, “I’ve changed a lot haven’t I?” She began to gesture towards her breasts and curves.
‘She has changed a lot… She used to be as thin as a twig, back in the village…’
“What happened to your hair? I thought it was red?” Hiro questioned, trying to ignore her indications.
“Heh~ It slowly started turning blonde after I moved away. Hiro, look at me!” She reached over and grabbed his head so that she could stare into his eyes.
‘She’s so pretty now… Her face looks so smooth, not a single blemish save for the mole under her right eye, which is giving her an exotic look. Those lips…’ Hiro’s mind soon began to drift off into dream land, trying to remember the passionate kiss they just had.
“Oi~ stop doing that Hiro…” She puffed up her cheeks in a teasing manner and bonked his head. Seeing that she got his attention once more, “So did ya miss me? Hehe” She grinned, showing a perfect set of white teeth.
“Uh… Yea…” Hiro was slowly coming back to his usual self. “What was this kiss about?” He slowly brought up his hands to feel his lips.
“You don’t remember? It’s from our promise! The promise!” She asserted.
‘I still don’t remember the promise… Just what kind of promise did I make that resulted in this strange outcome?’ Hiro began to think long and hard about the promise that Lena said he ‘made’ with her.
“Err… About the promise Lena, I don’t remember making any promise besides coming to see you after my Rite of Passage…” He scratched his cheek in confusion.
“No way! You forgot about our promise?! Didn’t you promise me you will always stay by my side, never to let the demons take me away again?” She cried out, tears once again formed at the corners of her eyes.
“That promise?!” Hiro screamed out after Lena told him.
‘We were playing around that time! She took that promise seriously?’ Hiro could believe that Lena seriously believed in the promise he had made during their game of Hero versus Demon Lord.
“We were just playing around that time. Of course I wouldn’t remember, since it wasn’t a real promise!” He replied quickly, before the tears start coming down her face.
“So…*Hic* You are saying… *Hic* you don’t…like me anymore?” She was starting to sob as she began to wipe away the tears that began trickling down her smooth cheeks.
“Hah~ Listen Lena.” Hiro pulled Lena in for a hug like they used to have when they were younger. “No matter how much you change, I’ll never hate you ok? So stop crying, I don’t like it when you cry.” It was true, Hiro always hated to see Lena cry whenever she was picked on, back in the village.
“Hehe.” She snuggled against Hiro’s face, “This brings me back.” She said.
“Yea.” He answered.
