The chaos of battle erupted as the squad faced off against the elite Voidwalker trio. Eris and Rajin faced the brute, a towering beast with arms like tree trunks. Velvet squared off against the woman assassin, her eyes gleaming with deadly intent. Ubel, Leo, and Kouneli braced themselves against Kaelith, whose twin daggers shimmered with void energy.
Kaelith grinned, his swirling blue pupils glinting with amusement. "Let's see what you've got, heroes."
Without hesitation, the Voidwalkers lunged into action.
The woman assassin darted toward Velvet with blinding speed, twin blades flashing under the moonlight. Velvet dodged the initial strike, their body crackling with lightning as they retaliated with a sweeping arc of their guitar-axe. Sparks ignited the ground as their weapons clashed.
Their battle spanned the entire island, both fighters moving so fast they were mere blurs of motion. They darted across rooftops and through narrow alleyways, their blows lighting up the sky like fireworks.
Velvet's eyes gleamed with focus. "You're fast, but let's see if you can handle this!"
They leaped into the air, summoning a storm of energy. Blue lightning coalesced into massive spears that hovered above them. "Grand Javelins!" they roared, hurling the bolts toward the assassin.
The woman twisted through the air, narrowly avoiding the electrified spears. Her voice was cold and sharp. "First Art: Gale Lunge!"
She shot forward like a bullet, her blade aimed straight at Velvet's chest.
Velvet's instincts kicked in. They grabbed the blade mid-air, sparks dancing across their fingers. The force of the attack sent a shockwave through the sky, but Velvet's grip held firm.
With a fierce yell, they crushed the blade in their hand, shards scattering like glittering dust. "Not bad," Velvet smirked, "but not enough."
Before the assassin could react, Velvet slammed their guitar-axe down with a thunderous strike. Lightning exploded on impact, and the woman was thrown backward, crashing into the ground with a sickening thud. She lay motionless, defeated.

Velvet dusted off their hands. "Easy."
The brute roared, his massive fists smashing into the ground as he charged at Eris. She dodged effortlessly, her wings propelling her into the air. The brute's fists created craters where she had just stood.
Rajin saw an opening and darted behind the brute, his sword flashing as he struck. The blow sent the brute stumbling forward, crashing into a building.
"Nice one, Rajin!" Eris called out.
Rajin grinned. "Thought I'd lend a hand."
The brute roared in fury, shaking off the debris. His eyes glowed red as he charged at them again.
Eris's expression darkened. "Enough of this."
She extended her hand, summoning a rift of flames. From the inferno, her divine greatsword emerged, its blade shimmering with searing heat. The ground beneath her feet scorched as she held the weapon aloft.
"Realm of Flames: Infernal Smite!" she declared.
In one swift motion, she brought the greatsword down. The brute didn't even have time to react as the blade cleaved through him, reducing his massive form to ash.
Rajin blinked, impressed. "Well... that was overkill."
Eris shrugged. "He was getting annoying."
Kaelith watched the defeat of his comrades with a bored expression. "Tch. Weaklings," he muttered. "They never were worth much."
He twirled his twin daggers, his gaze sharp. "Guess it's just me now. Come on, all of you. I don't have all day."
Ubel's eyes narrowed. "Cocky, aren't you?"
"Confident," Kaelith corrected with a grin. "There's a difference."
Leo drew his sword, his stance firm. "Let's wipe that grin off your face."
Kaelith laughed. "I'd like to see you try."
The three of them charged at once. Kouneli unleashed a flurry of blood projectiles, Ubel summoned blasts of fire, and Leo closed the distance with a powerful slash.
Kaelith's movements were almost too fast to follow. He weaved through the attacks with fluid grace, deflecting Leo's sword with one dagger and dispersing Ubel's fire blast with the other. Kouneli's hardened blood projectiles shattered harmlessly against a swirling void barrier.
"Is that all you've got?" Kaelith taunted. "Pathetic."
Ubel gritted his teeth. "Don't let up!"
Leo lunged again, his blade enchanted by the winds. Kaelith met the attack head-on, their weapons clashing in a burst of sparks.
Kouneli took the opportunity to flank Kaelith, his resonance intensifying as frost coated the ground beneath him. "Blood Prison!" he shouted, encasing Kaelith's legs in thick hardened blood.
Kaelith's grin faltered. "Annoying."
He slammed his daggers into the ground, sending a shockwave that shattered the blood and knocked Kouneli back.
Kaelith's expression darkened. "Fine. You want me to take this seriously? Let's see how you handle this."
He raised his daggers, and the air around him warped with chaotic energy. The ground trembled, and a swirling void portal opened behind him.
"You should've stayed down," Kaelith warned, his voice cold. "Now you'll see what a true Voidwalker can do."
