“Hahahaha!!!” At this moment, Sisa was laughing her non-existent ass off as Arthur told her of what transpired now that the system quest was complete. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I didn’t get it the first time. What did the man call you again?”
“He called me… the God of Spirit Slag,” said Arthur with a long sigh as Sisa let out a loud cackle yet again. Naturally, he knew what Sisa was trying to do, which was to make fun of him. After all, he expected in the first place that the man would realize that it was a spirit vein doing all of it, but instead, he was branded as the god of spirit slag.
‘Then again, I used their thoughts to my advantage, so it’s also partly my fault that I was called that way,’ he thought to himself. ‘Anyways, there’s always next time to correct their thoughts. It’s not like they’re going to leave this place now that they’ve settled down.’
Surprisingly, during the past three days that Arthur had been amassing and exchanging Inferior Spirit Slag at the right times, he watched the couple build their house through [Spirit Sense], incredibly surprised at the level of craftsmanship and speed that Qin was able to pull off. In just three days, not only was a sturdy foundation established for their house, but the house itself was already built, with only the other necessary amenities remaining before it was truly complete. Of course, Jian helped out in carrying materials as well.
‘I guess that’s the benefit of cultivation. Things that would normally be impossible are now possible thanks to it,’ he muttered inwardly, only recalling that he had not received the rewards from the system quest yet. Or at least, he had not checked the notifications related to the rewards yet.
With that, he commanded the system to show him the notifications he had received while he was talking to Sisa. Unsurprisingly, the notifications related to the rewards were there.
Ding!
You have received 100 System Points.
You have received an upgrade for [Spirit Aura]. The module [Infusion] has been added to [Spirit Aura].
“Sweet. I now have 140 points at my disposal,” Arthur said before focusing his attention onto the next notification, quickly bringing up the skill’s description. Within a few seconds, a screen appeared in front of him, easily seeing the difference brought by the upgrade as the screen was now slightly longer than before.
Telling Sisa to stop laughing as it was now grating to the ears, he then read the part of the skill related to the ‘module’ that was added as his interest was quickly piqued. “Oh? It seems I finally have a way to use qi outside of my body.”

[Spirit Aura Lv. 2]
Any being and object in the world would normally have a limit as to how much qi they can hold at once. However, for spirit veins, although they also have a certain limit, once the amount of qi in them starts to overflow, they become what we know as the beacons of cultivation, infusing more qi into the surroundings to facilitate a better cultivation environment.
The skill conjures a domain with increased qi density, allowing those inside it to achieve more in their cultivation in less time.
Unlocked modules:
[Infusion] - Since there is a passive way to increase the amount of qi in the surroundings, then there must also be an active way to increase the amount of qi in the surroundings. This module allows the user to infuse at most 10% of their maximum qi at once into anything, with the effects of the infusion being affected by the purity of the qi, as well as the boost brought about by the domain. Note that [Infusion] could only be used within the domain.
To increase the range and effectiveness of the domain, one could opt to upgrade the skill, or one could opt to increase the user’s Qi Capacity to increase the skill’s range, or increase the user’s Qi Purity to increase the skill’s effectiveness.
Current range: 5 meters (40 points)
Current boost: 12.5% (Tier 0, Grade 9)
Upgrade cost: 10 System Points
From what the description explained, Arthur now had the ability to infuse qi into anything that he so wished, as long as he had the qi for it. Pondering over the ability brought by [Infusion], Arthur could not help but ask Sisa for clarification, “Sisa, what does the skill mean by allowing me to infuse at most 10% of their maximum qi at once? Does that mean I can only infuse 10% of my maximum qi into something before I can’t infuse any more qi, or is it only 10% of my maximum qi per span of time?”

“It would be the latter,” Sisa replied. “Although the system did not really specify that part, you can only infuse 10% of your maximum qi into anything every minute. Sure, 10% of your maximum qi may not seem like much since that means you can only infuse 4 points of qi every minute.
“However, I must remind you that each point is equivalent to 10 people’s worth of qi in their bodies, corresponding to Qi Purity. With that said, infusing qi equivalent to 40 people at the peak of the 1st realm isn’t something to scoff at.”
“Well, it’s not like I’m going to use it anytime soon,” Arthur replied, only to hear a notification sound resound throughout his mind not long after. “What great timing.”

You have obtained a system quest.
Seeing that he had received a new system quest just after he finished the previous one, he could not help but say, “It seems like only now are we kicking into high gear.”

[System Quest: The Makings of a True Spirit Vein (2)]
The user has finally been recognized by the human race as a spirit vein, even though there might be a few misunderstandings along the way. Nevertheless, the system has recognized this, giving the user an ability that would allow them to contribute more to the human race.
Now that a type of relationship has been forged, the user must now use the ability they have just received to aid the humans into a higher level of power. To aid the user in this quest, the system shall be giving the user access to a couple of things that they might find handy.
Mission Prerequisite: Be noticed.
Mission Requirements: Aid a person in breaking through to a higher stage in cultivation (0/1).
Mission Rewards: 300 System Points
“Unlike the previous quest, this quest only gives me System Points,” Arthur could not help but say. “Then again, 300 System Points is still a lot of points for the current me. Speaking of which, what does the quest mean by giving me access to a couple of thi—“

You can now buy the active skill [Spirit Analysis]. This skill costs 5 System Points.
You can now buy the knowledge [The Basic Realms of Cultivation]. This knowledge costs 5 System Points.
“Oh?” Naturally, Arthur’s interest was piqued once more by the notifications he had just received. More specifically, he was interested in gaining knowledge regarding the basic realms of cultivation in this world. After all, Sisa had been vague with him regarding the cultivation realms, only telling him that it was related to Qi Purity.
Checking the upgrade screen, he could now see that there was a category made for skills and knowledge that he could buy, but have not integrated into himself yet. Since he had 140 System Points at the moment, it was no surprise that he bought the two, with the latter instantly giving him the feeling that an influx of information had entered his mind. Though, with his enhanced mental acuity from Qi Purity, it did not take long for him to process and organize it.
However, after obtaining the new skill and knowledge, he did not dive right into it, instead deciding to spend the remaining 130 System Points he had into something useful. Surprisingly, he decided to save 100 of those points for last as he pondered on how he was going to spend the 30 first.
“Well, with how much bigger my qi capacity is getting, it’s becoming more and more obvious to me that I should enhance Qi Recovery Rate,” Arthur said, spending 20 points on Qi Recovery Rate without hesitation as he now had the ability to produce one additional point of qi every hour. With that, he was now certain that he could now keep [Spirit Sense] constantly active. The only problem was that he would have to manually refresh it once the duration was over.
“Is there a way for the system to automatically refresh active skills once their duration is up?” he asked, to which Sisa replied, “I’m pretty sure the system could do that as long as you spend some System Points.”
Figuratively nodding in response to her words, Arthur commanded the system to automatically reactivate [Spirit Sense] once the duration for the skill was up. In response, the system brought up a prompt in front of him that asked him if he was willing to spend 5 System Points in order to obtain this ability. Since he could make it back quite easily now, he did not mind agreeing to it.
After that, he decided to upgrade [Spirit Aura] to Level 3, increasing the range of the domain from 5 meters to 6.6 meters while the boost jumped from 12.5% to 15%.
Now, with exactly 100 System Points remaining, Arthur focused his attention on the two things he could upgrade with that many points: [Qi Purity] and [Qi Conversion].
“What do you think I should focus on, Sisa?” Unsurprisingly, he asked for Sisa’s suggestion. After all, as the assistant of the system itself, she was bound to know more about it. “Should I go ahead and upgrade Qi Purity to Tier 1 or upgrade [Qi Conversion] to Level 11?”
Of course, once Arthur had reached Level 10 with [Qi Conversion] a while ago, he was shocked that the cost to upgrade to Level 11 jumped from 1 point to 100 points. Though, once he saw it, he instantly presumed that the upgrade would definitely be worth it, just like how upgrading Qi Purity to Tier 1 would also bring many benefits to him.
“Your call, Arthur.” Surprisingly, Sisa did not give any hints or suggestions at all. “You’d eventually arrive at the same point in the long run anyway.”
“Man. And here I thought I’d get good advice,” said Arthur as he went silent for a bit. Eventually, he chose one over the other as a string of notifications soon appeared in front of him.
