Chapter 3 - Mysterious Expert

Elsewhere in Chengdu, in a dark daunting hut.

Meng Wu was currently staring viciously at a young handsome man.

"Where is she!!" he shouted limping towards the man trying to throw a punch only to be kicked down by the man's bodyguards

The handsome man devilishly smiled and spoke calmly " Why can't you believe me kid, I don't know, she just disappeared all of a sudden. With no trace and no word of her whereabouts"

Meng Wu screamed like a maniac " Give my sister back to me!!" he said this time with new found energy leaping towards the handsome man.

This time the handsome man frowned, unsheathing his sword he placed it on Meng Wu's neck.

Whispering coldly he said " Kid, No one has ever dared to attack me Ding Ke three times and has lived to tell the tale. I gave you face because your sister truly was a cuttie and I was going to make her my concubine, however you dared come all the way to Chengdu with your pitifully trash self to demand her whereabouts from me!" as he brutally lashed a kick at Meng Wu's chest.

Ding Ke continued viciously " Boy today you will give me your arm and leg before I let you go" he gestured for his men to hold him down.

Meng Wu continued to stare at Ding Ke venomously  as if, if looks could kill he would die a thousand times. With resolve Meng Wu did not cower and blink an eye he only stared straight at the handsome man.

At this moments Ding Ke knelt down in front of Meng Wu who was being restrained by his men, he smiled sinisterly " After I make you a cripple I will find your sister and fuck her brains out as you watch you bastard!"

He then swung his sword at Meng Wu right arm who still at this moment didn't even bat an eye only viciously staring at Ding Ke.

When all of a sudden Ding Ke sword was knocked out his hand by a strong gust of wind then out of nowhere a man in a majestic silky,tight fitting purple robe floated down from the empty hole of the now detached roof.

He had glistening White hair and was devilishly handsome. He spoke his voice so charismatic he could make any woman war for him.

He said charmingly turning and facing Meng Wu " I feel the darkness in your heart you have potential do you want to co-"before he could finish, One of Ding Ke's bodyguards interrupted 

Shouting furiously he pointed his blade towards the man and said " Bastard! Who do you think you are Interfering in young master Ding's affairs I will kill you !"

Before he could take a step he felt a sharp pain on his waist. His eyeballs almost popping out his head, before he realised his body had be cut in half.

With a "thump" his decapitated body fell, forever confused about what actually happened for he was dead.

The handsome man smiled " Before I was rudely interrupted by that ant, Do you want to follow me child?"

Meng Wu has always been an intelligent person, as soon as the man appeared he had lost his Irrationality and started observing him. The first thing he noticed was the white hair, then the purple robes the man was wearing ,there was only one reason for this

Meng Wu couldn't help but ask politely " Is Senior perhaps a member of Blissful Valley?"

The man shocked at being figured out so easily nodded in approval and was even more pleased with his decision to take this boy in.

Ding Ke hearing the words "Blissful Valley" instantly panicked and immediately got on his knees pleading " Senior this junior didn't know you where of the almighty Blissful Valley or how could I have dared let my bodyguard offend please, don't take any offence to what has happened today and please take this as a token my gratitude" he said nervously taking out a beautifully patterned box 

Ding Ke continued  "This is a Century old snow Lotus pill it is gathered from the snowy highlands mountains, an extremely rare substance that takes a hundred years to bear fruit. Martial Artist can increase their cultivation after eating it, please accept it"

The man nodded taking the box before coldly saying " Scram! Before I end your pitiful life"

Ding Ke thankfully cupped his hand saying " Thank you senior" before dashing out the hut with his men right behind him.

Meng Wu thinking this was a great opportunity to join Blissful Valley said " Sir It would be an honour to be a disciple of Blissful Valley"

On a road in the middle of Chengdu

“I wonder who that expert was?” Zhao Long thought thinking to himself

“He was so fast, he killed that Iron Bear in an instant and flew out of the restaurant so effortlessly. Was that a movement skill that you learn in sect? Woow amazing.” At this moment Zhao Long was about 10 meters away from the carriage when he heard chatter and laughter.

Approaching he saw Old Man Li happily chatting to a man dressed in a black robe with a straw hat.

The same man who saved him at the restaurant!

Old Man Li noticing Zhao Long was back laughed merrily “ Zhao Long come over here and pay your respects to my good friend and a member of the Royal Guards Chen Lan”

Zhao Long hurriedly cupped his hand bowing his head he said “ This junior greets Senior Chen Lan and wishes to thank you benefactor”

Old Man Li hearing this made his ear twitch “ Hmm? You two have met already?”

Chen Lan emotionlessly said to Old man Li “ Iron Bear attacked him in the tavern, I was disgusted so I dealt with him”

Chen Lan looked at Zhao Long before saying “ Zhao Long, is it? All I am doing is taking you to the upcoming trial to enter the Royal Guards the rest is up to you. Where it not for Old man Li helping me out all those years ago and being a very close friend of mine I wouldn't take a idiot like you anywhere near Royal Guards. Get some sleep tomorrow we ride to Yanjing”

Zhao Long excitedly nodded turning and around to head back only to take a step and stop

Chen Lan noticing this frowned “ What is it?”

Zhao Long turned around slowly and scratched the back of his head embarrassingly “ Senior I don’t know how to ride a horse” he said laughing wryly

Chen Lan eyebrows slightly twitched saying slightly annoyed “ You will learn tomorrow, now go away!”

Running of excitedly Zhao Long set up a tent on the field about 15 meters away from the carriage.

Old man Li said laughing " You like that kid don't you Cheng Lan? He reminds me of you and how you use to be when you was his age and how you wished to be unmatched in Jianghu"

Chen Lan snorted " I wasn't that bad at least I didn't get myself almost killed"

Old man Li laughed " That kid, I see something in his eyes and I just get the feeling that kid is gonna be someone great, you know? And there was a kid who was here earlier his name was 'Meng Wu'. I see a thirst for power in his eyes, I saw pain and darkness. If he treads the wrong path he could bring calamity to this world and only Zhao Long can stop him."

Chen Lan pondered for a bit before saying " We often meet fate on the road we avoid to meet it, let fate play things out as it's suppose to and we can only pray that what you saw does not happen, for this land is already facing calamity and this boy you mentioned also seems to be a calamity waiting to before us all. We must talk to our brothers and sisters hidden in the sects and faction and gather and groom the descendants before it's too late. For now I will remain hidden in the Royal Guards and watch over the boy where as you will continue to look for those with potential. Ahh yes I almost forgot did you bring Tang Lin's daughter?"

Old man Li replied " Yes, she wished to join Emei. However she is not the one. She is superficial and will not become someone remarkable. The Tang Clan know nothing of her existence let's pray it stays that way. And that boy Zhao Long I'm not sure and don't take my word for this but I think he is his child"

Chen Lan shocked at the old man word's said " That's impossible Li Chang that old man Zhang Sangfeng of Wudang would not dare take any chances when it come's to that family and there bloodline"

Old man Li sighed" Let's just hope that I'm for if he his a spawn of that man, that family and he was to loose himself, history could repeat it's self all over again"....
