Prologue - Reawakening of the Grief-Stricken Archfiend

Prologue

On Aventador, there exists 13 empires, each with 2 leaders. Each with galaxy shaking powers and boundless knowledge. They brought peace to Aventador using words to settle disputes instead of brute strength and numbers. These 26 eminences brought ancient technologies to help each nation to prosper.

However, peace wasn't there at first. As it was a new galaxy many existences came from other planes. Some came to relax or seek refuge from their own plane. Others came to rule over them.Over a millenium, billions of invaders came and ravaged the small villages. However, 26 men appeared from the cracks of Aventador and brought justice and peace. Wielding their power and wisdom they came together to imprison the evildoers and allowed the peaceful foreigners to stay. The aftermath of the one sided dominance brought the people to hail them as the 26 Primordials. Within a few centuries, the different races developed into the 13 empires.

They are the High Elves, High Humans, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Elementals, Beastman, Draconians, Demons, Undead, goblins, giants, and the mixed races.

As the populations developed champions were born to defend each empire while the 26 primordials used their godly power to block off foreign lifeforms from entering Aventador.

A hundred years after the peaceful establishment of each empire the 26 Primordials suddenly disappeared. The world was temporarily thrown into chaos before thee leaders calmed down the tides of unrest and peace resumed.

Currently in the year of 7254 C.C., the 13 empires are vying for control of all four continents. Ever since the disappearance of the 26 grand elders 2513 years ago, royalties of the Angelic, Dwarven, Dark Elf, and Orc empires had grown conceited and greedy or require more land. They didn't declare war and did a sudden sneak attack that crippled 4 empires: the high elf, high human and demon empires. With their 4 greatest enemies defeated they evened the playing field.

As the squad of 15 elite assassins traversed across the dense leaves of the forest, a snow glider was racing across the forest floor dodging left and right around the tree trunks. A group of 5 nobles situated atop the glider were panting heavily against the winter cold.

Among the assassins was a male with the looks of a 17 year old, with charcoal black hair and noble features that bewitched females and males alike. He had a toned body which added to his glamorous features. His eyes shone like dazzling blue diamonds, his facial features was a perfectly refined gem by the gods. Despite these features his aura and frozen eyes belied his appearance. He emitted a lonely and sorrowful atmosphere that seemed to contain all the pain and sadness of the world. The man was the best of the best, even the leader of the organization he was working in had to bow down to his smallest commands.

Reaching the edge of the forest, the two groups popped out and drifted to the edge of a mountain cliff. With nowhere to go the 5 nobles jumped off the snow glider, each one unsheathing a pair of elegant legendary swords. these swords were part of the collection of master craft swords made by godly blacksmiths. in the world there were only 33 legendary swords and of those 33, 16 were duo's or 8 twins. These 5 nobles had 5 twins, 10 of the 33 legendary swords.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

"Please you can take anything else, but these swords. these are precious heirlooms and their power is too great for anyone to wield," a raspy voice sounded out from under one of the hoods of the nobles.

"There is nothing to negotiate, our mission is to retrieve the swords and kill all the witnesses." Brothers, ATTACK"

Flashing towards the nobles, the assassins appeared next to the robed nobles who barely managed to block every attack. Each side had excellent teamwork and stood at even ground. However, the balance was broken when he appeared.like a ghost. It seemed as if he used teleportation, but he didn't even though he was extremely skilled at it because it was faster for him to run and jump into the fray. With quick hand strokes he disarmed all the nobles and quickly collected the swords with his interspatial rings lined on a majority of his fingers.

Falling to their knees, the nobles fell to the ground, the wind catching onto their hoods and revealed their faces hidden under their hoods. The wind revealed a decrepit old man, a young boy no older than 13, a burly man with bulging veins, and a tender women.

Lastly, was a girl with soft, gentle features that would bring many people to soften their hearts. Ravishing cheeks decorated their faces and luscious lips like ripe cherries were placed delicately on their face. Covering her body was a silky smooth robe made of the richest materials that kingdoms had hard time procuring. Her age appeared to be around 16 years, soon to be married off.

The burly man that appeared to be the father, popped out of where he knelt and went in front of his family.

"Spare us PLEASE, you have the swo--"

Cutting off his sentence the man lightly tapped the back of his neck and knock him out.

Walking to the family he knelt in front of the girl and slowly stretched his hands to her face.

With his touch the girl trembled and the ground turned darker between the girls knees. *gasp* the girl felt a sudden rush of her memories being filtered through. Knowing this she realized this man was no ordinary person as only a wizard class or above could read minds.

*sniff* ( Why...... why is it that every time I leave they start to lose their way.) Slowly a tear appeared at the edge of his eyes and slowly slid down his face before reaching his chin. Seeming like hours the girl stared at the tear and saw drop ever so slowly to the parched ground.

She couldn't fathom why the assassin was crying, when his mission is to kill them.

Out of the blue the man whispered, " I'm sorry, I'll make things right."

Standing up the lone assassin went back and used strange gestures. Slowly, like phantoms they retreated into the forest. Turning back to face the 5 nobles, signaled them to get on top of the snow glider.

After they got on he took out a map within his knapsack and pointed them to remote area and signaled them to follow him.
