Welcome!
Before moving on to the next stage, please proceed with the creating your character.
A bright cheerful robotic voice reverberated into his mind, and at the same time, a holographic screen appeared into his field of perception, sending a message of instructions. Peter then found himself walking inside an endless white space. No other objects or colour could be seen, everything was just blaring white. The man was just standing there, tapping his foot impatiently for things to come as he had limited time left alive.
Character Creation
Name
Gender
Race
Appearance
"Hmmmmm"
Peter mused carefully before firmly determining the decisions of his choice. His character selection was basic, his name was 'Peter Wes' and as for everything else, 'Gender, Race and Appearances,' they also didn't change. He still wanted to be human, no matter if the world was fantasy or not. He needed to be reminded that he was a real human. And playing as a different race will mess up his own sense of reality. For example; imagine playing an Orc for god knows how many years, then suddenly, you return to your real body... What would happen?
Peter didn't know how long it will take to finish this game, but it should take many years since the final boss is a dragon. Peter hoped that it wasn't the dragon he saw before entering the world as that dragon looked very intimidating, not only was it very large, but its eyes were filled with malice and contempt, as if it could easily devour anyone in sight, or even devour the whole world.
All he cared about is the game's legitimacy. There must be a viable way to become the champion, he was hoping that the Game Master would not create an impossible game that was designed to never have a winner.
Welcome to Dragonscape Online
The goal of this game is to find a suitable host for a particular body. Keep in mind, only one person shall be the final winner.
Dragonscape Online sets inside a world called Eos, a world with plenty of war and chaos. You must decide which path to take, whether it will be through adventure, plunder or even murder. You can advance however you see fit.
Dragons had escaped from the depth of hell and is rampaging across Eos. It is your job to find and kill these Dragons. Ultimately, it will come down to one final Boss. The Neverending Dragon. Whoever deals the last blow, with whatever means possible, will become the champion.
But of course, this world isn't without restraints.
Warning: The Pain limit is set to 100%, it will not change for anyone.
Death: Once Health plummets down to 0, you are automatically sent back to your home. Everything that you had collected in this world, including all your E coins, will be dropped, so banking is a must. You will also lose 40% of your current E Meter points.
Bosses: Bosses in this world are augmented with special abilities. This bonus feature is called Yizhi. Bosses can send waves of mental energy of Yizhi Power, and this power will collectively destroy a portion of your E Meter points. This ultimately means that Bosses can potentially, permanently kill you. It is recommended that you check your E Meter points before fighting a boss.
Tutorials: There will be no tutorials or hints about your power system, everything will have to be discovered by yourself.
This world will not an easy one, if you are a COWARD, turn back now!
Do you still want to join this world?
Yes/No
"Yes"
To be honest, Peter was feeling quite anxious as this was going to be his first time visiting a virtual world ever. The reason why Peter joined later then everyone else is because he stayed on Earth. His underground bunker is top-notched and is one of the most secure places on Earth. The last thing he remembered was that he was constantly monitoring his companies' androids through satellite feeds. Every day he would make sure that they were on tasks. After that, his memories became a little fuzzy, but he knew deep down what had happened due to little visual snippets of memories that he gets every now and then.
This was the new reality now. He could turn around and start anew in Earth 2.0, but then he would have no chance of getting back his real body. He could also just join another planet that had already been created long beforehand. This way he can read about people’s experiences and guides to easily make E Coins so that he can re-fill his E Meter. But by then, everyone who had joined Dragonscape Online since the beginning, would have an edge over those who join later.
Flash
Disappearing into a speck of light, Peter was transported out of the character creation realm. His avatar appeared above the planet of Eos. He was staring down at the world with awe. He could see other people besides him, in space, looking down at the world too with eager expressions.
Arriving at, The Tribe of Bellenau
Dazzling lights could be seen all over the skies of Eos, many of the worlds native inhabitant saw this as a sign of change. A sign of hope. But some people saw this as an ill omen for what’s to come. The dazzling lights in the sky were the thousands of players who had finished their character creation. The lights went from a few thousands to a few hundred thousand, and many more people were still inside the character creation zone, taking their sweet time, while other people in other worlds, were quickly finishing up their tasks to join in on the fun.
"Ugh...."
He found himself suddenly appearing inside the middle of a medium sized tribal village. Oddly enough, his sudden appearance didn't cause any commotion, it was as if the natives didn't notice the sudden appearance of a strange man. The atmosphere of the village seemed to be strange, they were all looking up towards the sky, some in horror, some in hope. Peter decided to look towards the sky as well but couldn't hide his astonishment. The heavens were filled with fireworks, these lights all came rushing towards Eos. Soon, Peter found other people, players, appearing inside the same village as him.
"Make way, make way!"
He didn't realize that when was dazing of in the middle of a pathway, a disaster was happening currently as he was too busy admiring the beauty of the dazzling exhibition in the sky. He turned to see a tribal man yelling in his direction. To his horror, that tribal man was anxiously trying his best to not fall of the back of his black horse. The black horse was storming in his direction. The unruly horse noticed a strange human standing in its path, the horse snorted in contempt and charged even faster than before.
"Fuck!" Peter jumped out of the way just in time. The horse mercilessly stomped with force where the human once stood and grunted in rage when the human escaped.
"Little Ash! Stop! What’s gotten into you?" The horse rider tried to soothe his mount with words, but all he got was a nasty snort. The horse then stood on its two hind legs and flung the man off its back.
Crack
The man screamed out in pain as his bones broke due to the sudden incident. Both natives and players, were shocked due to the unexpected event. Some natives cried out in horror as they all knew the man who had fallen. Some of the native men went to get their spears, and were inching towards the horse, with caution.
The black horse brown eyes turned reddish like blood, mist oozed out of its nose smoothly like a cloud vapour, but what was more bewildering was that the horses flesh seemed to be decaying. The horses skin and flesh were slowly and painfully burning like a downhill forest fire. Peter scrambled on all four limbs, moving a fair amount of distance away from the horse which was currently undergoing transformation. Its reddish eyes glowed with murderous intent. The horse, even though it was stamping around with pain and raw anger, behind its psychotic breakdown were invisible tears, tears of disbelief and sanity. It was as if the horse was pleading for someone to take it out of its misery.
The horse couldn't control its action, its sanity was slowly evaporating, and Peter saw this clearly as he was spectating at the forefront of the scene. All the spear wielding natives jumped backwards, as the strange sight made them speechless. The other players watched in curiosity from a distance, with no thoughts of helping in this situation. They were currently too busy, trying to understand what kind of power system they have in this game.
Neeeeigh!
Everyone still within the scope of the scene were startled as the horse completely shredded its dark skin. Its silky black long mane turned into black flames. The horse underwent major changes, it now looked like a creature of death. Peter regretted not scuttering far away from here, as he was now the creatures main focus. The only good thing about this situation was that the injured rider was not instantly killed as Peter was like a sore sight that sticked out like a thumb. The creature wanted to get rid of this nuisance before moving on to other things.
The horse went from raging mad to deathly silent. It no longer had the eyes of insanity, but now it was a fully functioning conscious monster that flared up in stylish black flames. quietly stepped away from its owner before trotting slowly towards Peter and as Peter stared into the horse’s eye, the horse stared back.

Need 5 points of Fear Resistance to ignore status debuff.
You currently have 0 Fear Resistance points.
- Inefficient stats required -
You had succumbed to fear for five seconds.
Dark misty clouds materialized inside his head, this was fear. Fear is an ailment that sends the victim into a state of hysteria. Visions of all terrible things appeared in his mind, such as personal demons, his deepest darkest fear. Peter was currently scrambling on the ground, grabbing his head with both hands while rocking back and forth in fear, he was undergoing five seconds of fear.
He found himself standing at the ruins of humanity, it was 300 years later but the plan didn't work. Alias androids failed to do its task and the Earth was permanently uninhabitable. He was surrounded by billions of consciousness inside Eden’s Floor. This consciousnesses were all blaming him, cursing him, kicking him down for failing to save Earth.
But suddenly, while he was being kicked down. He clenched his fist tightly and said stop, enough. Peter had undeniable faith in his own products, in his family business. The androids would never fail because he had faith! He personally designed them with his own hands, pieced them together with his own hands. He came from a family with dozens of years of advance scientific breakthroughs.
If he succumbed to the thought of failure right here and then? Then his ancestors would look down on him with shame when he meets them in the afterlife.
He shook his head and broke out of the ailments effect, now he found himself laying on the ground, staring upwards towards the creature standing before him. The creature was startled, as it underwent transformation, not only did it grow more powerful, it learnt some new innate abilities that it could easily understand.
In Peters mind, he went through timeless torture, but in reality, only three seconds had passed until he had snapped out of his predicament. This creature wanted to slowly taunt and bring the human to despair, and then kill him after five seconds had passed, it wanted the human to see its own killer.

Peter had no time delving into the popped-up messages, instead, he had get up and run.
Neeeeeeigh!
The creature, that is currently now known as a Nightmare, voiced its anger vocally.
"Over here!" A young native man yelled towards Peter. The tribal men’s all gathered their spears and warded of the horse’s path. They quickly surrounded the creature while Peter went free. He saw the man who yelled towards him, this was a young tribal man with sky-blue eyes and dreadlocks while wearing just a grass skirt and boots.
"Are you ok?" The young tribal man said in a worried tone.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but what happened to the horse?"
"I don't know, I've never seen such a thing before" The young man said with a confused expression. They both watched the men handle the Nightmare with caution. There was an influx of warriors coming from every direction. The Nightmare screeched in terror as it was being stabbed. Black blood oozed out of its wounds. Dozens of warriors all grabbed heavy nets to capture the beast alive. The nightmare was falling into despair as it was trapped and injured, it struggled around but the wounds were too numerous and deep.
"We all knew Little Ash since it was born, it was the blackest weanling we had ever seen, dark as the night sky, but it was also the fastest, most handsome and friendliest horse out of the bunch, all the kids use to feed it fresh vegetables whenever they get the chance. But how did it turn in this?" Sighed the man as he saw the once beloved horse get drugged to sleep by a mysterious powder that one of the warriors threw.
"I could investigate and find a satisfying explanation about what had happened to Little Ash" Peter said towards the young man.
"Really? Well you can go ahead if you want, but we will also do our own investigation as well... But if you find out anything at all, come to me and I'll reward you if the information is satisfactory"
A mystery has occurred in the Tribe of Bellenau
The tribes beloved horse had turned into a nightmare, this enough is to shock the whole tribe into suspicion. Find out how the ordinary horse transformed into a monster. Once you find a satisfactory answer, report to the Chieftain's son, Hawaiki Kahurangi

Will you accept this quest? Yes/No
He was surprised to receive a mission out of the blue but accepted it without hesitation. He then found a few dozens of players surround him. Hawaiki walked off to look at the sleeping Nightmare, before ordering it to be locked up. All the tribe members listened to his order without complaint. It seems that this son of the Chieftain was respected. All the warriors dragged the horse away into the distance, carefully.
"Hey, what happened?"
"Did you get a mission?"
"Do you know how to play this game? I'm confused"
Peter ignored everyone’s rambling and found that the injured rider was still left on the ground, ignored. Only a little girl stood there crying over his body. Peter rushed pass the surrounding players, they grew angry when he brushed passed them like they were nothing but air.
"Hey, there, what’s your name?" Peter said while walking up towards the little girl.
"Hini Aroha" She said while sobbing softly, rubbing her teary eyes with her hands.
"Can you help him, please! I'll give you this necklace!" She said while pulling on Peters cuffs. She showed him the necklace on her neck.
Hini Aroha's offers a request.
Her father was supposed to pick her up for an outdoor ride, but suffered a heavy injury due to the nightmare incident. Hohepa Aroha is a hated man in the tribe, no one will offer any assistance because he had claimed everyone's beloved horse as his own. The horse use to belong his dead brother, but everyone suspects Hohepa to be the murderer. But they have no proof.
Save his life.
Difficulty Level: F
Reward: Hini's Necklace
Will you accept this quest? Yes/No
Peter of coursed accepted. The players sneered because they saw the necklace that was offered as a reward, it was just a small bone tooth sewed onto a piece of string. They quickly got bored and moved to explore the tribe to find their own quests.
"It's best to not move him at all, is there anyone you can call for help? A doctor?"
"No... I mean yes, the Healer of Pain lives in the Silent Twilight Forest. four hours from here"
"Ok, I’ll see what I can do here" Peter said while taking off his shirt. The little girl became afraid because she saw a dragon’s tattoo on his body. But then her emotions became conflicted as she saw him bandaging up the wounds with his shirt. He then found some splinters laying around and used them to create some paddings to ease the discomforts as the man was still barely conscious, the man was aware of what is going on, but couldn't talk at all.
"He won't bleed out to death now, but I still think we need to take him to the Healer of Pain" Peter said while frowning, he was contemplating on how to move the injured man.
"It's ok, someone’s coming, thanks for saving my dad" She said while handing over her necklace.
Quest Completed.
Rewards: Hini's Necklace, A bone toothed necklace of unknown origins.
One E Meter Point.
He was surprised to see that he had gained an E meter point, but he was at a loss of words when he suddenly lost a point at the same time. It didn't feel long, but after nursing Hohepa back to health, it had been an hour, so his E meter points remained the same, at 47.
"I think you should keep the necklace, it isn't worth much to me"
"No, my father taught me to keep my words, so that’s the payment" She said while denying Peters generosity and soon, a tall man that could only be said to be, a giant, came with a giant sack.
"Hawaiki sent me to deliver his corpse to be buried" The man standing at two metres tall said.
"Corpse? But he's is still alive, this man saved my dad" Hini said while pointing to Peter.
"Huh? You're a healer?" The giant said in a shocked voice, he quickly inspected the body laying on the ground, and saw that there were a some signs of nursing.
“I have a bit of knowledge in that area" Peter said truthfully as he had studied the human body thoroughly. Some of his ancestor’s private research contains some advance medical knowledge, and although he can't be considered a doctor, he can identify and cure a small amount of illness and injuries of others.
"That's great! Please help my son, I don't know what's happening with him, but he is unwell. I'll pay you some money" The tall man said with a pleading expression.
A boy is unwell.
Mikare Tounga asked for help in regards of his son, he doesn't know what the cause is, so he needs a healer's touch. The Healer of Pain is the only healer around this region, but charges too much for her services. So, people with heavy injuries or illness can only be left to die, unless they have the ability to pay for that healers services.
Identify and solve the problem of the boy.
Difficulty: F
Reward: 25 copper coins.
Will you accept this quest? Yes/No
Peter immediately accepted, this caused the man to smile cheerfully. He couldn't help but think about the quests he had received so far; Investigating the Nightmare incident, this mission came to be because he had talked to the Chieftain's son and told him he would investigate.
As for saving Hohepa's life. If he didn't accidentally draw in the attention of the Nightmare, maybe Hohepa would had been dead. After saving his life by preventing him from bleeding out, he gained another mission from the Mikare because he was thought to be a 'Healer'.
He found that consecutive missions can come about when you do a certain action, every little action can affect the world in major ways. Peter thought that the Healer was too far, and according to the quest box he had just received, her services are expensive. So, between the three of them, they decided to bring Hohepa back towards Mikare's house to rest. In return, Peter will attempt to heal the Mikare's son.
Peter didn't have time beforehand, but now that he was temporary free, he could now inspect his own personal power system.
