This is a story about a young helpless boy, who in the process of becoming a man he becomes capable of protecting himself, all those he cares for and even those he never intended to. A classic story of Zero to Hero throughout his life, and how the world remembers him for his sacrifice and celebrate it. It all started not in a quiet city, nor a bustling city, it started in a bustling underground arena, a place that illegally bought and sold humans and would entertain all those with enough coin through a sport of blood, battles between men and boys, men and beast, and any combination of the three. But it does not start in the arena but rather far below that, in a large cage with a great beast larger than a house and locked with the strongest of metal there it slept and there it had lived for near 100 years. The loud sound of metal creaking was heard as a small door in the cage was quickly opened, "Feed it, make sure it's happy, and try not to be eaten today!!" A large man with scars lining his face and missing many of his teeth, roughly pushed a small body into the cage and this small figure is the hero of this story, a scrawny young boy no older than 8 in appearance he was so skinny you could see his bones beneath his skin, with pure black onyx hair that was a mess with old blood and dirt hanging down below his waist, two blue eyes that were as dead as a fish, he slowly pushed himself off the ground his legs shaking from just the effort of standing up he slowly took in his surroundings. Hard dirt floor, strong walls of stone and the large gate behind him made of strong yet rusting metal, and in front of him a great winged beast, with scales of Dark Bronze and two eyes that seemed to be filled with fire glaring at his small form, it had great chain manacles binding it's four limbs together and an iron muzzle clamped its mouth shut for a few moments till it glowed a brightly and disappeared. This was a dragon, a legendary creature of great strength and pride, it slowly lifted it's large body up and brought its head as large as the boys entire body inches from him as it sniffed loudly. It was expecting the boy to jump back in fear, maybe cry for it to spare his life. But rather than that the boy just stared into one of its eyes expressionlessly. "Are you going to eat me?" he asked, "If not could you please let me know were your food shoot is?" The dragon slowly moved it's head back from the boy as it raised one of its eyebrows, "Are you not afraid of me child of Man?"

"Not really, I know I won't live long and honestly dying to you would probably be quicker and less painless than dying up there," He said point upward were the sounds of the crowds cheering was still hearable. The dragon looked at the young boy judging his words and wondering just how much truth there was to them, before it's largemouth slightly opened its Gumbs pulling back in basically a smile as it laughed, a large booming laugh that shook the very earth, even disturbing the people in the arena, for a few moments fearing an earthquake. For almost a full minute it laughed before it quieted down and lowered it's still smiling face near the boys once more, "I like you, child of man, keep this up, and you may just live for a few years as my servant." The boy slowly lowered his head in thanks, the dragon then slowly lifted it's tail and used it to point towards a large shoot that connected to the cave-like room. "You can get my meat from there, prepare it with fire, and don't burn it otherwise I'll have you as my next meal."
