DEATH TRAP AND TRAPS

Falkor and follow the dragons and Rikke rely heavily on Auberone who has yet to prove herself in magic. Although she was at the academy, she focused on fighting but also followed all the magic classes. She normally knows how to cast spells but she should have studied a bit more and therefore doesn't know everything by heart like I do.

When they entered the complex right away they saw a man still alive but dying.

Behind him were massive doors that opened into the ruins.

The other doors only give access to the entrance hall and rooms that the dragons could use as a lair.

Ahh, dragons again, I'm finished! The great red dragon didn't miss me! He's sick! Somebody help me!

What's your name, ask Fuchur?

Ah, you must be a kid, you have kind eyes. My name is Gravos Plinius.

Then Rikke comes to him. Ohh a beautiful woman, an imperial. Cough, what's your name?

"Rikke, lieutenant. Hold on, we'll get you revenge!"

"Wait - cough - the crystal - stolen - find the Aparatus in the Oculus - cough." Then he drew his last breath.

Rikke searched him and found a Dwemer key. A big key.

Fuchur: "I found a lock! Here!"

And in the mouth of a dwarf's head who wasn't that dwarfish, there was a lock.

Rikke put it in and a click was heard and a whole mechanism started going.

The corridor was divided into two parts, one on the left and one on the right. The one on the right is partially collapsed. Plants and equipment are strewn on the scree and part of the cave has collapsed.

The only access is on the left. However, it leads to a large hall.

Our friends continue and advance but suddenly some balls on the ceiling start to move and they are mechanical spiders.

They are massive and each one weighs several tons.

"Ambush!" Rikke screams.

Falkor and Aqua went in front and attacked with their tails and Rikke went to the back with Fuchur and Auberone in the middle to protect the rear of the two tanks.

BAM made the tail of Fuchur, but the spider slid back and the massive bronze arms endured the shock.

2 wires were pulled towards Aqua from the metal spider and it was like a Taser.

AGAGGAGGAAGG and Aqua collapsed in pain. Another spider approached with 2 big clamps like for sea container tractors and lifted Aqua like nothing.

Falkor became angry and spat fire on the spider that had pulled but its legs were blushing but it certainly had an efficient cooling system.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Aqua came to her senses and tried to fight back, but the spider was beginning to "wire" her.

Auberon shouted: Freeze the wire, it will break!

Aqua then blew ice on the cable, which fell apart in the cold.

The spider's claw seized up and the hydraulic system froze and burst in the ice, causing the joints to expand.

Crrrack, Aqua broke free.

She blew on Falkor's spider, which broke its frozen legs with its tail when it struck.

Two were destroyed, but eight more came down from the ceiling.

"But how many are there?????" Falkor became angry.

Come on, Rikke shouted, if we stay here, we'll be overwhelmed, the room is too big.!

Then Falkor wanted to use his dark weapons for the first time:

He planted his right paw in his shadow and grabbed the paw of one of the spiders by its shadow and immobilized it. The spider turned its head 360° to see what was happening and came back forward. It could not understand the illogicality of being trapped by its shadow.

"That one!" shouted Falkor Auberone fired magic missiles, but they bounced off and did damage to the scenery.

"Damn it," cried Rikke, "they're invulnerable to magic, they're golems!" Only brute force!

Auberone shouted thanks to Rikke.

Rikke drew his sword, useless and took an axe/hammer from behind her back.

Auberone cast one of the few spells she used: Force.

Force on everyone!

The legs bent and little by little our dragons forced their way through.

There was another room further on, after 2 iron doors at the end of a corridor;

Rikke: "Be careful, though! There may be traps."

She didn't finish her sentence when Fuchur stepped on a sinking slab and spears fell from the ceiling at lightning speed. His scales made the tips slip off and fit between the spears, but he was slashed up badly and his wings were punctured.

Aqua let out a scream of horror as he saw his little one impaled in several places.

But the most serious was his thigh.

CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK, the spears rearmed and as they moved upwards, the rectangular tips moved upwards along the flesh-tearing wounds and lifted Fuchur, who was struggling with pain and trembling. He climbed up to the ceiling and his hind leg was furiously banged up.

This mechanism is vicious because we see shreds of flesh torn from the previous victims.

Fuchur was panting and trembling, raised to the ceiling, then RIiiip, his flesh tore at the thigh leaving a gaping hole in the left muscle. A hemorrhagic canal had just been created and he needed to be garroted as soon as possible.

His mother took him in her arms and he was shaking and started to scream AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGH

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR my leg!

My leeeeeeg, it's ruined!

It's true that you could see the bone in the gaping wound.

Rikke took the gauze out of her kit and stuffed the hole in Fuchur's leg and she tightened the tourniquet. Then she turned to Aqua: "He has to go back to the camp to get treatment. Otherwise he might lose his paw. One of you must go back with him. I have to stay with Auberone who is the only magician and at the camp they don't have the strength or the level.

Aqua, go back with Fuchur, he's your kid and he's gonna need you to help him.

Come back but not alone, this dungeon is a death trap."

Aqua, holding Fuchur, and worried sick about her wounded child, rushed to the exit and flew to the imperial camp, hopefully not too far. Fuchur's gaining weight now.

He cried like a four year old child and was no longer capable of any reasoning.

He shouted "PAPAAAAAA, MAMAAAAANNN, help!! DADDAD VAILLAANT Where are you?

Vaillaaaannt, I want to see Vaillaaaaant. I want my daddy!"

He was delirious and had always considered Valiant as his daddy and he loved him more than anything. In fact, Fuchur considered himself a human rather than a dragon and this irritated Falkor and embarrassed Aqua, his mother.

In his den, sitting comfortably, Ignar giggled in front of his mirror, which reported everything that happened in the dungeon much better than a TV. He ingested a cup of red liquid, but who knows if it's blood or wine, because the problem is that Ignar is the crazy one and you can expect anything with him.

Me? Well, I was hanging by my hands from a T-shaped pillory and I was naked. I'd been left with a slave sheet to hide my feminine attributes which are obvious in humans while in reptiles you can't see anything.

I also had a sword stuck in my chest and I must have had a pierced lung. A trickle of blood was beading but as I breathed with difficulty and slowly, the blood must have curdled and clotted. This must have stopped the bleeding. But if we remove it, it's worse.

And if I change back, I die.

I'm in really, really bad shape. The only good news is that the poison has dissipated. I think the sword is mainly to keep me weak and I can't break the chains and bolts holding my wrists.

What motivates me is the sound of fighting in the distance. And that my friends are fighting for me. I am happy to know that I matter to someone and that I have at least several people who love me and risk their lives.

I hope they can do it without getting hurt, but I heard, at last I think I recognized Fuchur's cry of tears, which doesn't bode well.

Hang in there, my friends. I love you! I love you!
