i really wasn't ready for the ambush, it was too sudden and i wasn't paying attention, lost in my inner thoughts

as i was moving across the dirt road, i passed by a house and all of a sudden i was held from behind my mouth covered and thrown behind said house

i looked to my surroundings confused and a little bit afraid, only to be greeted by a bunch of kids around my age not older than 8 years old, with the eldest at the front staring at me in a menacing way while some of the others were surrounding me as a mean to hold me from escaping

"Arowen, today is your lucky day, this young master here is gracing you with my presence so you should become my subordinate and i will take good care of you, else*hold his fist while cracking them*"the eldest said

if i remember correctly, tiger is the grandson of the village chief, he was named after the spirit of the village chief which is the saw-tooth tiger, his father didn't awaken any spirit and the village chief was disappointed with his son, so when his grandson was born he decided to name him tiger so as to bring good luck in the hope that he will awaken a spirit as well and as luck would have it, this grandson of his really did awaken a tiger spirit, the horned tiger; the spirit is twice as large as a normal tiger with bull like horns coming from behind its ears pointing forward

i was really surprised at his statement, it really was out of my expectations, but totally in line with my plans, a king is not one with no subjects to rule over and a general is not one with no soldiers to command

there are around 15 kids present which is not a lot, but it is not little either, if they are brought up well, even if they lack spirits they could be a good foundation for my future so i decided that this will be the first batch of my recruits

"so tell this young master if you are joining, or do you want to be roughed up a little bit before yielding ??" it seems that i was lost in mu thoughts too long and tiger is getting a little impatient as he is heading toward me holding his fist ready to punch me who just got to my feet

"STOP!!" i yelled at him and stop he did looking at me confused

"why should i become your subordinate, i am smarter and stronger than you, so you should be my subordinate" i stated loudly

the other kids and tiger stared at me for a few seconds in shock before laughing while saying things like

"... too full of himself"

"... arrogant ..."

"... tiger is the strongest ..."

"...he awakened the tiger spirit..."

they said a bunch of words to either put me down or hold tiger up high, but then raised his hand up to make them stop and said to me

"your looking for a beating" while moving slowly towards me and a very faint outline of a horned tiger appeared above him barely noticable

i held my ground and said to him taunting him at the end with a sneer and mocking smile

"you don't believe me? then how about we make a bet or are you afraid of loosing"

"whose afraid of whom , i am the great tiger, no one can beat me" it seems that my taunting worked pretty well, after all he is just a kid

his fat round face all red he yelled back at me

"what do you want to bet"

i smiled at his reaction and told him

"if you win i will obey your orders as a subordinate of yours, but if you loose*dramatic silence* you and every one present here will become my subordinates and obey every single thing i say to you, if i say jump you jump, if i say bark like a dog you do it,*another dramatic silence while i pass my eyes over the kids*all of you" i really felt myself to be cool at this instance

there was a little silence before everyone got angry and started hurling the best insults my way, i say insults but they are kids so their cussing vocabulary was very limited to things like scum, villain, meany, worm which is not that impressive and when they run off of insults they stared at tiger telling him things like

"get him tiger"

"beat him up"

"punch him in the face"

"punch him"

"kick him in the balls"that would be painful and cruel coming from a kid so i paid special attention to this guy specifically, he needs some special care from me

hearing the cheers from his surroundings tiger got more proud and puffed his chest saying "leave it to me" forgetting his previous anger and showering in the praise, till i reminded him

"so you dare or not, heheh"

"dare?? i double dare, prepare yourself for a beating"

the kids made a ring for us to fight and tigers fat frame shot quickly towards me, which surprised me as his speed and fat figure are mismatched, but that was just a thought as i got ready for the fight, left leg forward right leg behind in a balance while my trunk slightly rotated, left hand forward in front of my nose and the right close to my chest

in position i observed as tiger came rushing at me his right fist clenched and ready for a straight punch, the kid is easy to read

as he got close i made a step forward to my left, pushing his right outstretched with my left hand getting close to him with a right elbow to the face

the poor kid didn't see it comming as i smashed his nose with my elbow, lucklily for him his nose didn't breack, but it was bleeding and he fell to the ground disoriented

i didn't let him of easily, while he was clenching his face with his hands on the ground bleeding and crying, i sat on his chest and kept hitting him in the face, and after i felt it was okey i stopped and told

"you yield or not?" still ready to continue my pummeling

he said that he yielded but i wasn't satisfied so i gave him another punch and said "i didn't hear you, yield or not?"

he yelled with all his strength amidst the blood, snot and tears "i yield, i yield, for now on i am your subordinate"

only now did i leave him be, stood up and looked at the others and yelled

"you yield or not ??"

most of them started looking at their toes as if something would sprout out of their

"you seem to be unconvinced, good" i said to them and run at the closest person to me and gave him a punch in the face

the others seemed to be provoked and one of them yelled " get him!!" and they tried to gang up on me

thank god my previous training wasn't for show and i built a good strength,speed, endurance and reflexes so i made short work of these kids with a few slip ups, they got a few hits in as they were too numerous and this body of mine is not used to it, but in the end i got them all in the ground crying with pig faces(meaning their faces were full of bruises for those who didn't get it)
