Many years after the body of the Primordial Dragon was laid to rest, the five Dragon Gods created a race to stand guard over the land it was buried.
Knowing how vast their powers are, they needed to prevent the lower races from acquiring powers they cannot hope to control. The race they created were of course the Dracovians. They also went to create their own respective species to represent each of them, but no other high dragons possessed all their powers such as the Dracovians.
A land protected by high dragon masters, no one dared to challenge their presence within that land.
As time moved on, the other races started fearing them less as they have made no move to rule. They eventually even started gathering around their colonies and traded with them.
This led to the creation of a kingdom, and since the Dracovians weren’t against it and even provided their assistance, the Kingdom of Ellara came to be.
With the guidance of the Dracovians, the Kingdom of Ellara prospered and no other nation had the power to challenge its sovereignty.
However, just as one side benefits, there are those who would covet such benefits for their own. From the dissatisfaction and envy of those who would seek such bounty for themselves, the Dark Gods were soon born.
The Dark Gods, born from all forms of evil that accumulated from those with dark hearts, tempted and seduced the ancient kings to unite as one and conquer Ellara. Driven with desire for a grand sacking as well as the benefits of the land itself, all the other kingdoms marched their armies of millions towards our kingdom. They never even considered which of them would rule once they win, so the expected result was that it’d eventually lead to a mass genocide.
Even with the power of the Dracovians, we could not hope to stop an army of millions of madmen. Surrounded from all sides, Ellara was left with little choice but eventual destruction.
…
“… with no more way to escape or save his people, Nabolros, the last king of Ellara, made the final decision to sacrifice the whole of his kingdom through an ancient dark magic that used the power of the Dragon’s Body and destroyed the land itself.
Killing off hundreds of millions including his own, he became regarded by his subjects as a mad king. Also, due to the residual dark magic festering the land, the bounty brought by the Primordial Dragon’s body was lost.
It is truly ironic… to save the world; the king sacrificed his people and destroyed the land. So much sacrifice… all in order to prevent the other kings from being overcome with greed again.”
With a grim expression, I recounted his words and thought about some points in the story.
“… why didn’t the Dragon Gods come to save the Kingdom and the Dracovians?”
This was what I was curious about.
“The Dragon Gods cannot slay the races created by the Old Gods. They promised to watch over and guide them, but to act against them is to go back on that promise. They could only look on in sadness over the greedy hearts of the young races… but of course they didn’t simply look on as their children were trampled.
The Dark Gods were soon punished by them and cast out into the Netherworld, where they are imprisoned for eternity in suffering.”
There was one more thing I was wondering about, and it was why Nabolros was currently the way he is.
“… To be honest… I’m unsure… It is not known why Nabolros became that monstrosity.
Most believed it was an adverse effect of tapping into the Dragon Body’s power. Others believed he traded his body to the Dark Gods in compensation for the magic he used. The least think it’s a curse caused by his endless regret for his actions…
We may never really know… All I know is that he has suffered enough, and as his last remaining knight, I would rather put him to rest than allow him to continue to exist in this blighted form.
So Camus, are you prepared?”
I couldn’t help but smile when he said that line. Oh the long awaited payback at last.

“Hehehe, what do you think I spent these last 2 years for Pops? All those little “toys” and “gadgets” I made were all so I could get even. I’ll make him regret he ever tried to eat me.”
“Haha… it seems your draconic nature in resenting those that treat you as below them is starting to show. Oh, before you go, I have a gift for you.”
As I was about to leave, I stopped and turned to him in excitement. Pops rarely gives me gifts and when he does, it’s usually something really good.
“Hahaha, I recognize that look in your eye. Without further ado, behold! The greatest among the greatswords in my possession, World Breaker!”
He then brought out a huge greatsword from out of nowhere. I seriously need to learn that magic. He would never tell me how he does it, but its effects always left me curious.
As for the greatsword… did I say huge? Cuz I meant HUMONGOUS! What the hell is this thing!? It makes the sword of that metrosexual blond-haired pretty boy from that famous JRPG(*) look like a toothpick!
The body is pretty wide and gradually fans out from the base reaching close to 8 or 9 feet in length. The tip where the central edge should be was instead replaced by a block of metal that made it look like the end of a sledgehammer. It’s literally the love-child between a giant-ass sword and a freaking warhammer.
I’m pretty confident with my strength; enough that I could probably even give a certain huge green angry superhero from a certain comic series(**) a run for his money. ...But still, who the hell did they expect to hold this? A giant?

It’s even no longer within the realm of greatswords… and that garbled text stating I'm unauthorized to view the message feels very ominous…
“… um… Pops… isn’t it a little too big? Even for me, that’s kinda…”
“Hahaha, I expected your reaction as much, but no worries. While it looks massive and unwieldy, it was made especially for the strongest of our warriors to wield. Try it.”
I was hesitant but decided to try out the sword. Amazingly, it wasn’t as heavy as I expected, but it still needed both my hands to wield it effectively. I think it’s somewhere around a thousand kilos.
“It’s made of Orihalcum and Adamantite. With the lightness of Orihalcum and the hardness of Adamantite, it’s the perfect harmony of power and balance. I noticed that you tend to swing most of the greatswords in our armory with one hand because of a lack of weight and for fear of them breaking when you use them with both hands. With this sword, you won’t have such a worry.”
After hearing that the two strongest metals were used when making this sword, I couldn’t help but look at my old man in deep gratitude knowing what he gave me was practically a national treasure.
“Now… you’ll need some time to get used to World Breaker. Once you’ve accustomed yourself, we’ll get ready to face the old king. Take note, his main weakness is light of any form. Living in this dark world for more than two thousand years has made him extremely sensitive to it.”
I nod in response as I practiced swinging my new sword. I can’t wait to test this baby out and drive it into that beardo’s gut.
…
…
Two days have gone by after my preparation. While I was tracking it, I was masking my scent using some of my concoctions. After some time, I finally found the beast’s lair at the end of the cavern. Armed to the teeth, I prepared a bow and several other traps and items for our battle.
After layering some traps, I readied my bow along with my “present” attached at the end of the arrow. I aimed my bow and readied to fire. I wonder if it remembers the taste of hell I gave it before?
*twang”
The arrow flew and vanished into the darkness.
*thwack*
Hmm… maybe I missed…
“GYAAAAAAAAAAH!”
Oh, it hit. And yup, it remembers.
With a shrill roar, it came charging out of the darkness. Enraged, it looked around as if it were searching for its mortal enemy.
I already ran as it screamed, and went as far back as I could.
Seeing me, it suddenly charged like a train hell-bent on running me over. Of course, this means it blindly rushed into the traps. Fire traps, acid traps, spike traps, and even some explosive traps, but somehow it didn’t seem to care about the damage and just bulldozed its way through.
Holy shit! I didn’t think it’d be that angry!
Slightly panicking, I kept running back towards the lake. I kept firing at it every now and then, but normal arrows seemed to do nothing more than irritate it further.
“Dammit! You coming at me like this would make one think there was no greater sin than what I did to you! I mean come on! You freaking tried to eat me! I’m the one who should be more pissed!”
I cursed at it until I saw the faint light of the lake and yelled out.
“Pops! It’s coming! Get ready!”
I heard no response but I knew pops was ready.
As I ran towards the western lakeshore, the beast still followed. I grinned as it fell for the final trap.
As it closed in on me, old man Gaius dashed out from his hiding spot and cut at a small pillar lifting up a board filled with rocks.
Releasing its load, the rocks came rolling towards the beast. Although it noticed, I fired another shroom arrow and disoriented it. The rocks came smashing at its side and it soon lost it’s footing, but it didn’t fall into the lake and still came towards me.
I anticipated this and positioned World Breaker in a pose like a baseball player readying a swing.
Unable to stop its charge, I swung with all my power smashing the sword onto its face. Its face caved and cracked open like a piñata as it flew into the lake. It sunk down and only ripples remained in the area it fell.
“Hahaha! Did you see that pops? That’s what you call a homerun!”
“Haha… I still don’t know what that means, but I’m very surprised you got him to follow you all the way to the lake. He knows the lake of light is dangerous for him so he almost never comes around here. How on Ellara did you do it?”
“Ah haha… let’s just say I happened on another one of his weaknesses… “
I’m too embarrassed to say I fed him some glowing mushrooms… but somehow it makes sense it hates them considering they’re glowing with light as well.
“Well, no matter. Come let’s go back an –“
*BOOM*
Before pops could finish his statement, he was suddenly smashed onto the cavern wall as if he was hit by a truck. A massive crater appeared on the wall with a loud boom.
“!! POOOOOOOOPS!”
With its body half melted and smoking in places, it looked at me with eyes refusing death and filled with hate.
Nabolros… still lives…
… But not for long…
Rage and regret boiled within me due to my carelessness, but I knew what must be done.
Hoisting World Breaker onto my padded shoulder, I pulled out the item I created and finished two days ago.
It was something that didn’t belong to this world. A weapon greatly feared in my old world for how easily it brought death throughout its history. And now I'm about unleash its fearsome might here onto this world.
That’s right… what I indeed held in my right hand… was a gun…
A gun I now aimed at the so-called king…
