“I guess i should get out of here and check outside. He shapeshifted into a human and then went towards the light he could see in the distance. When he reached the end of the tunnel he could see that he was on the side of a mountain and that there was a massive human settlement below it, He guessed it was the capital of a kingdom after seeing the castle that was closest to the mountain as if it wanted to be protected from behind if it was ever attacked.

‘God must have put me in this cave specifically because there are humans nearby and he knew i would want to learn about this world before i do anything’ He used magic to make himself invisible before shapeshifting into a half dragonic/half human form and flew to the capital below him, After landing in an alleyway he changed back into a human and undid the cloaking magic before heading out.

As he walked out of the alleyway he could see hundreds of people walking around and surprisingly there were more beastman,elves and dwarves than humans, He guessed that it was because they were all slaves and the humans were making them go out and do the work they were supposed to do or to pick things up from various places. He could tell they were all slaves because of the collars on their necks and also by the few humans in armor that were beating a demi-human child for dropping a basket of apples.

The young girl turned to look and was stunned by the man before her. He had silky black hair,black eyes that seemed to suck you into an endless abyss and pale white skin that would make you think he is sick but for some reason you can just tell that he isn’t and that he is truly brimming with power. “Um, oh yes sure i can tell you. The library is just around the corner from here actually” She told him while blushing.

He smiled at her and thanked her before going in the direction she told him, As soon as he rounded the corner he saw a marvelous building that was the size of at least ten of the other buildings surrounding it. He went in and found an old man sitting at the desk by the door. “Sir i was wondering if i could work here and instead of having to pay me i would rather be allowed to live and here and read any book i want free of charge” He asked the old man as soon as he got close.

The old man was shocked to hear someone talking to him because almost no one comes to the library anymore and he was even more shocked that someone wanted to work there. The old man looked up to see a young man standing before him and was about to decline but something was nagging at the back of his mind telling him to accept, Whenever he had a nagging feeling like this he would always follow it and it never steered him wrong so he accepted. “Sure boy but make sure you are careful with the books and also since you will be living here than clean the place every two days, You can start tomorrow since i am already here today”

Marcus nodded with a smile and thanked the old man before going into the library to look for books on the history of this country which he had figured out by hearing people talking while he was walking, It is called Alamo’s Kingdom. When he got to the bookshelves he was shocked to see how many books were the library and that was just what he could see from where he was standing. After overcoming his shock he went back to looking for history books before finding a few so he took them and found a table to start reading.
