Draegona Chronicles has been my mind child of a story for the last 3 years. Since originally drafting the first chapter in 2017, I had never truly been satisfied with the direction of the story. The beginning just seemed like it lacked a proper punch. I, myself, dislike the intro I originally wrote. A dream sequence leading into prophecy and then into the main character waking up. It's interesting and has a fun action sequence that I SHOULD have expanded upon. So after neglecting my story for more than a year for writing, I do owe a bit of an explanation as to my hiatus. Family, school, work... Need much else? eh... I wouldn't think so. My life has been kind of too busy to focus on my book. But I have never abandoned it. In the dark depths of my phone, I've been writing chapter drafts over and over. It seems to me that after much consideration, the reason I wouldn't continue the story is due to too many rewrites *crumples up the paper ball and tosses it*. So now we're back at square 1... or should I say... Chapter 1. I think this is the best. I'd be able to set up a proper schedule for myself. Chapters will likely be weekly or biweekly depending on how these first few chapters go. I will be leaving up my original 20 chapters. This part of the story (the Sullivan/Keto arc) isn't going to be scrapped. But it will be heavily rewritten. I guarantee there will be similarities. So enjoy what I leave up for you, and certainly expect to hear from me again soon. The holiday rush is over, and I'm anxious to write finally.
