A world based on the creatures of D&D (Forgotten Realms) and also using their own deities. For now, I will focus on explaining the world our MC resides in a little to provide you some context.
To start with, there are the two dragon gods which are said to have been born from the body of the primal dragon god named Lord-Ao, who was killed and split in half by Erek-hus. These halves then later gave birth to Bahamut and Tiamat.
The first dragon god called Lord-Ao was the one who created the dragons, he created the true dragons and the draconics. There are three theories about the purpose of the draconics, none of which have ever been confirmed.
We distinguish between three different races of dragons: the chromatic dragons that are affiliated with Tiamat, the evil dragon goddess, and are red, green, blue, white or black colored; and the metallic dragons which are affiliated with Bahamut, the good dragon god, and are bronze, copper, gold, brass or silver colored.
There are also other types of dragons such as diamond dragons, which are the most powerful of the good dragons. And there are all kinds of good and evil dragons of the evil ones, there are all colours, so although a certain dragon grows somewhere its nature does not have to be evil or good, although it will be strongly influenced from the beginning of course.
A difference between the chromatic dragons and the metallic ones which have two breath weapons and not just one like the chromatic ones, but one of them being more defensive than aggressive.
The development phases of dragons go through hatchling (fresh from the egg), very young, young, young adult, adult, mature adult, old, very old, venerable, sierpe, and great sierpe. This state is reached at 1200 years and is the peak of its development. From there, they stop growing and begin to decline physically (Twilight) until they die (although some try to escape that fate, for example by becoming an undead).
Dragons are born from eggs and their development goes through many phases, in all of them the creature grows and its capacities increase at the same time. The development slows down from now on, its greatest power being its peak when reaching young.
Hatchling (5 years or less)
Young (6 to 100 years)
Adult (101-800 years)
Ancient (801 years or more)
Descriptions of the Gods:
Tiamat: Tiamat is the only chromatic dragon that has a head of each primary color of the common dragon species (white, black, green, blue and red). Each head can operate entirely independently from each other, and each head is as powerful as its respective dragon in its ancestral stage. Its body is also related to a Wyvern, including a tail with poisonous spikes.
The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
Tiamat also has 3 main avatars, being the first one known as the dark lady, a beautiful maiden with dark hair and completely black eyes with a macabre smile on her face; The queen of the dragons, a colossal dragon with a Wyvern body and 5 heads; one of each color. And the imperishable Queen; a Dracolich version of her Queen of Dragons form
Bahamut: Bahamut is depicted as a huge, long and winding dragon with scales and blue-white-silver, cat eyes. The exact color of Bahamut's eyes is difficult to specify and may depend on Bahamut's mood, ranging from sky blue to indigo frost.
About a quarter of the time, Bahamut wanders around Toril in the form of a human or some other humanoid. It is said that he has found himself like a fragile and old hermit, with the three large golden serpents that accompany him disguised as three canaries that sing sweetly near him.
Descriptions of chromatic dragons:
Blue dragons: They live in the desert and are characterized by their blue colour and their vain and territorial character. They have large ears and a large horn, being adapted to dig in the sand. His breath weapon is a powerful electric shock.
White dragons: They live in cold environments -especially high mountains- and are (obviously) white. They are the smallest and least intelligent of all dragons, being a little bit more than predatory animals (which does not mean, of course, that they are dumb), something that is reflected in their appearance. His breath weapon is a cone of cold.
Black dragons: Black-scaled and as malicious as they are cunning. They live in swamps and marshes, being able to breathe underwater. His breath weapon is an acid beam.
Red Dragons: Along with the golden and silver dragons, the greatest of all. With a bright red colour, they are very intelligent, evil creatures, and famous for their greed and the great number of treasures they accumulate, affirming that they know the value of their treasure until the last coin. They have a breath weapon consisting of a powerful cone of fire. They live in the depths and in hot areas -including volcanic areas-.
Green dragons: With green scales and adapted to camouflage themselves in nature, they are found in forests. They are belligerent creatures that attack without provocation and great experts in manipulating people by deceiving them and using the double meaning of words. His breath weapon is an acid cone. They can also breathe underwater.
Descriptions of metallic dragons:
Bronze dragons: With bronze-coloured scales, they are characterized by their curious character and their love of war (as long as it is for a just cause and there is good pay). They are able to breathe underwater, living in the hills near the sea. One of his breath weapons is an electric shock; the other, a cone of gas that causes those affected to flee from the bronze dragon.
Copper Dragons: Copper-scaled dragons famous for their joking and humorous character and their fondness for riddles. They live in rocky areas and are excellent climbers and jumpers. His two breath weapons are: an acid bolt and a cone of slowing gas.
Golden dragons: They are inspired by the myth of the golden dragon that, according to some legends, protects the Holy Grail [citation needed] and is a friend of knights and warriors of good. Unlike other dragons, these gold-glittering scale dragons can live in any environment - as long as it's secluded and their homes are made of stone. They are wise creatures who share the ideals of the paladins and who prefer to speak rather than fight. Their breath weapons are a powerful cone of fire and a cone of debilitating gas. Together with the red and silver dragons, they are the greatest of all.
Brass dragons: They are found in hot deserts and are characterized above all by their talkative streak, which sometimes goes to the extreme of retaining a creature that does not want to talk to them until they are comfortable. They have two breath weapons: a fire beam and a cone of sleeping gas.
Silver dragons: They are, together with the red and golden dragons, the largest of all, seeming to be made of silver. They are very fond of interacting with humans, in the form of one of them, helping those creatures that need help. They live high in the mountains, or even in the clouds, and their breath weapons consist of a cone of cold and a cone of paralyzing gas.
