The World Of Climax
Shining down from a cloudless blue sky was radiant, glowing eyeball as bright as any nearby star.
"..." Its gaze was cast downward to a vast ocean of clean white waters with a tiny of black sand right in the middle of it all.
On the island was nothing but a wooden table with three chairs matching its design, with two of them being taken.
"~Hmm~" Playing rock, paper, scissors with themselves was a man with pearly white marble-like skin. He had long jet black hair that went down his back while his eyes were pools of blackness with small star-like bits in them. He was dressed in only a large oversized black cloak that acted like it had a mind of its own as it moved around the man's form playing along with him. "Damn! You're good at this," He dryly muttered to his clothing as it had beaten him for the 10th time in a row.
"13th actually..." Sitting opposite the man and face first in a thick leather-bound book was a small petite brown-skinned girl, with glowing white orb for eyes while her buzz-cut white hair was kept under the white hood of a white leather raincoat with white buttons running down its center. "..." But she had a constant dull and bored look on her face as she scanned the pages of her book.
The final chair in the middle for man and girl was left empty but was the closest one to the table that had nothing on it.
Everything within this space was mostly the same as time went on or didn't? Hard to tell when such a place doesn't go by any rules. Anyhow sometimes the man would sleep while his cloak drew on his face with a marker or he'd be making random things appear. While the girl would change what she was reading and from what she was reading, sometimes it was a comic book, other times it was cave drawings that floated in front of her, or she'd change her chair for a bean bag.
At times when the two beings of this world would talk to eachother, it either went into a heated debate about something that didn't matter to them like why the sand was black? Why was the ocean white? Were hot dogs sandwich or a weird bread taco? Did genders even matter? What was up with that eye-sun in the sky? And other such things of non-sense.
They often turned to the empty chair as if asking it for an answer but nothing came from it. So, the two would keep their debates going and almost always literally flipped their world on its head as if they were nothing more than two opposite forced to interact with eachother yet could not do without the other even when one of them went to a completely different realm of existence they would soon return to their other half.
"Blow on these bad boys, girl!" The man held a fist of dice to his cloak as it blew on them. "Good! Daddy needs a new lightning bolt!" He tossed two dice on to the table, and they landed on a pair of an egg on all faces. "Damn it!"
"Oh?" The girl looked up as a personal storm cloud appeared above her head and like a neverending waterfall it showered her with every kind of egg both known and unknown, leaving her covered in slimy layers of greens, blues, yellows, and reds. "..." But with a mere blink of her eyes, it was gone. "My Turn." The dice stood up by growing legs then rolled themselves on the table landing on pots.
When the two beings weren't in a universe ending debate, they played games with one another which were often simple games of cards, tongue-twisters, planet juicing, and the like today, tomorrow or was it yesterday...? Oh, forget it, right now they were playing Punishment dice; where they roll to see what sort of random madness would befall their opponent until one of them gave up...an unlikely outcome since this was just continuation of a 20-year long game.
"When was this added in?" The man asked as he was suddenly inside of a pot of boiling oil that was melting his skin off. "You're 'hot stuff' today, Waha!" He joked now nothing but a skeleton inside his cloak and was about to go for a roll when the dice floated in the air. "Oh, look who came by to spoil the fun..." He eyed the middle chair, but no one was there.
Stolen novel; please report.
"Greetings." The girl turned to the middle chair as well as waving to the empty spot.
"Hey! Don't give 'him' any attention! He only comes here when he gets lonely on the other side! Crawling back to his old toys when the new ones don't fit his tastes!" The man spat out now back to 'normal,' and seemed a bit mean-spirited by the unseen newcomer but the moment the middle chair tilted its way at him, his entire body turned red. "Pfft! I can leave when I want! I don't need you! Yeah, that's right! Ahahah..." He nervously laughed while his cloak was playing around with his hands.
"If that were the case, then I would not be here..." The girl told the man making him hold up a finger about to tell her something, but it slowly went back down. "...Likewise."
"Sooooo? Why are you here, ~buddy~" The man asked the chair while spinning some of his cloak around his finger with it doing the same with some of his hair.
The dice that were floating got tossed into the clear blue sky with the eye-sun staring at them as they went even higher and vanished, what came back down was a small blue box that landed on the table.
"What that?" The man eyed the box with his eyes stretching out of their sockets to look at every part of it. "Hmm?" Then he noticed a note on it that read
To Nihil, The Everything, and Omnia, The Nothing!
Let's play a game!
The first one to open the box loses.
"Huh, you want to play a game with Omnia and me?" The man asked while pointing to the girl now named Omnia making him Nihil.
"Interesting." Omnia's quiet voice showed a bit of life as she looked at the box. "I know you want to ask first, so go right ahead." She offered a hand to Nihil.
"What's in the box?" Nihil asked while leaning in on the middle chair with his elongated eyeballs twisting around it. "Oh, come on! This is like a 5 on my what-the-fuck-is-happening-scale!"
"True, we have already had a full game of turn yourself inside out...I won..."Omnia added in favor of Nihil.
"Yeah, she started with her fucking tongue! It was a blessing from a dead man..." Nihil spoke as if he was witness to one of the greatest things to grace the eyes of whatever he was. "So, what's in the box?"
"..." The chair just rocked back and forth as its invisible user answered Nihil.
"Huh? Everything and nothing? But I'm Everything, and she's Nothing, and you're not making sense." Nihil just looked confused as he had question marks in one eye while the other had a cat and dog fighting with power gloves.
"Then he's making non-sense of course." Omnia pointed out earning a tilt of the chair at her. "Do not touch me..." She warned, making the chair go straight and slide next to Nihil.
"Don't worry; you can touch whatever you want on me, daddy!" Nihil flashed what was under his cloak at the chair, making all of its color peel right off. "Aww! Thanks, I've been on a new diet! But back to the box if there's nothing in there, then I don't see the point in opening it?"
"But it might have everything in it as well?" Omnia made the box float up to give it a shake to hear if anything was inside. "Oh?" Surprisingly there was a small rattle of something in there.
"Hmm? That doesn't sound like there's nothing in there? Hey, what happens if we guess what's inside?" Nihil asked the chair, hoping to find a loophole in this game. "It doesn't matter? But if we know what's inside, then there's no point in opening it which means we win, Heh!"
"Indeed, you have not given a good enough reason to make us want to open this box, so we shall simply wait." Omnia nodded as she agreed with Nihil and went back to her reading, which was now a binary code story about a snail.
"Thanks for the feed, my dude! You forgot little Erwin's quantum bullshit doesn't work on us!" While Nihil went back to doing random things like turning his hands into a ninja and robot that had sex with each other. "It's like I'm right there!"
"..." And so the box was left to itself as it stayed on the table never to be opened by Nihil or Omnia and by the shifting of a chair it appeared whoever was in it was pleased with themselves as another note appeared next to the box unnoticed by Omnia or Nihil.
Just because a Nothing and an Everything isn't going to open this box doesn't mean someone else in the middle can't right?
