The reason Doctor Death hasn't been updating is because I'm simply not happy with the story. Looking back at the plot and outline, I've realized I tried to cram in too many parts. So I've decided to rewrite the entire thing and focus on the main point: Lucas's character progression.

Doctor Death was originally supposed to be about how he grows to accept he's not human. The point was to expand the reader's view on what an AI really is, and make them question their views on sentience, life, and death. However, I was too caught up on adding all the cool fights from my imagination. I ended up deviating from the purpose and writing a completely different story. Not to mention, I failed to properly flesh out Lucas before starting the story. I hope to add more personality to him next time.

"To Be Human" will be the name of the new story. I hope to properly focus on the characters and worldbuilding this time. Please give it a chance even if you didn't like this one, I'm sure I've improved leagues over my last chapter!
