"Safe from being trapped there forever." Nathan stared at his mother.
“What do you mean?” he said, standing up.
His mother stood there for a minute just looking at the helmet. When she did speak it was barely more than a whisper, “Several of the other beta testers are still in the game.”
Nathan’s heart was in his throat. Could it be…? “Why does that mean that they are stuck? They could be still playing.”
His mother looked up at him, “They were supposed to play for no more than three hours straight before being kicked off.”
“Maybe it’s just a glitch. It’s only the first day of the beta.”
His mother burst into tears, “what would I’ve done if you were to leave too?”

Nathan patted her shoulder, “I’m not going anywhere.” Yet.
After a moment she calmed down. “Of course.” She looked at the clock and cried out “Oh shit! I’m going to be late for work. See you later tonight!” she gave Nathan a quick hug before dashing out.
Nathan let out a sigh, and sat back down the computer. He looked up the news about the Do You Dare? Beta. After they reached a certain part the beta testers were either locked in or kicked out. One of the beta testers said that he couldn’t login again after being kicked out.
Nathan looked at the helmet. Is it truly locked?
He put the headgear on and everything went black. He waited for the screen to pop up. Nothing happened.
