Tasl was still contemplating the mysteries of his inner dimension when he was awoken by a knock on the door. He opened it and saw a young servant girl holding a tray of food. She smiled timidly and said:
"Good morning, young master Tasl. I have brought you breakfast. Please enjoy."
She placed the tray on a table and quickly left, without waiting for his reply. Tasl realized that it was already morning and that he had spent the whole night in meditation. He felt no fatigue, however, thanks to the healing power of the golden sphere. He wondered what the servant girl thought of him, and why she was so shy.
He shrugged and walked to the table, feeling hungry. He saw that the tray had various dishes, such as bread, cheese, eggs, fruits, and tea. He ate with an appetite, enjoying the taste and the aroma. He finished the food and drank the tea, feeling refreshed and energized. He decided to go out and explore the palace, and maybe find some answers to his questions.
He was about to leave his room when he heard another knock on the door. He opened it and saw a middle-aged man with a serious expression. He wore a simple but elegant robe, and had a sword at his waist. He had short brown hair, and sharp green eyes. He looked at Tasl and smiled slightly, saying:
"Greetings, young master Tasl. I am Hencord Agaren, your protector. His Majesty has sent me to escort you and assist you in any way I can. May I come in?"
Tasl nodded and invited him in. He closed the door behind him and said:
"Please, have a seat. I have a lot to tell you, and a lot to ask you."
Tasl sat on a couch, and Hencord sat on a chair opposite him. Hencord cleared his throat and said:
"First of all, I am glad to see you well, young master. You have been through a lot, and you have overcome a great ordeal. His Majesty is overjoyed by your recovery, and so are we all. I am also pleased to see that you have entered the spirit condensation realm. It appears that you have inherited the cultivation talent of the Madrion dynasty"
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Tasl smiled and said:
"Thank you, Hencord. I appreciate your concern and your loyalty. But please, call me Tasl. I don't like formalities."
Hencord nodded and said:
"Very well, Tasl. I will respect your wishes. But you should know that you are not an ordinary person. You are the fifth prince of the Madrion dynasty, the son of King Ezekiel and Queen Eileithyia, the heir of the Elderson god's blessing, and the sage of the divine whispers. You have a great destiny ahead of you, and a great responsibility as well."
Tasl frowned and said:
"I know, Hencord. I know who I am, and what I am. But I don't remember anything. I have lost my memory, due to the disease that afflicted me. I don't remember my parents or my siblings. I don't remember anything."
Hencord cleared his throat and said: “Alright, Tasl. Let me begin. The first thing you should know is that you are the fifth child of King Ezekiel and Queen Eileithyia. You have four older siblings, who are quintuplets. They are Thomas, Timothy, Teresa, and Tatiana. They are all talented and powerful cultivators, and they are all eligible for the throne. However, their father Ezekiel has already exceeded the mortal realms and reached the pseudo-immortal realm. He is one of the few cultivators in history who has achieved this feat, and he is revered as a legend. He is immortal in body and spirit, and he will live for thousands of years. He is the supreme ruler of the Madrion dynasty, and the protector of the people. He is your father, Tasl. And he is our king.”
“Your siblings are aware of their father’s immortality, and they know that they will not inherit the throne unless they reach the pseudo-immortal realm as well. They are not envious or resentful of their father, but they are motivated and determined to follow in his footsteps. They are constantly striving to improve themselves, and to surpass their limits.
As the children of a blessed individual, they were directly born in the Nascent Soul stage.” “Unfortunately, you were born preterm due to the death of Queen Eileithyia, which resulted in you being born without any cultivation. Many people had thought you would never be able to cultivate. However, no one dares to underestimate you, your highness. You are the only sage in the whole Greenfield City.”
Tasl tilted his head and asked: “Why do you call me a sage, Hencord? What does that mean?”
Hencord smiled and explained:
“Divine whispers are the voices of the gods, Tasl. They are the source of all blessings, and the secrets of all mysteries. Only priests can hear them after five to ten years of practice. In Greenfield City, the youngest priest is your cousin Fiana Easton at 22 years of age. Apart from your siblings, you have an aunt named Ember who is married to Chris Easton. They had two children, Felix and Fiana Easton. Fiana is a genius and greatly appreciated by the Temple. The most powerful priest in the city is Silian Dummer, who is only a Grand Priest.
On the other hand, you were able to hear divine whispers from birth and became a sage at the age of six when you channeled the whispers to heal people.
King Ezekiel had put extreme efforts into creating a powerful level 8 earth rank bracelet for you, to protect your dantian against the whispers. Too much whisper can lead to bursting of the dantian. You must never remove the bracelet without the presence of the king or Silian.”
“Sage is a realm above Grand Priest. Unlike priests who can only hear and guide others to the whispers, sages can manifest the power of the whispers and use them on others.
As divine whispers can aid in cultivation, you, by the current young age of nine years, have already guided many senior warriors to reach higher realms. Even I, without your help, would never have entered the peak of the Nascent Soul stage.”
