The heavens felt unusually peaceful today. The sky stretched endlessly above, painted in soft hues of blue and white. The air was calm and still, so each breath felt lighter as if the heaven itself had slowed down. I might drift off to sleep under its gentle embrace.
As I stood there, appreciating the serene scenery around me, a sudden movement caught my eye. I turned just in time to see an angel rushing through the air, wings beating furiously as it flew straight toward me.
“Brother I have an urgent report”
Then, out of nowhere, an uneasy report came through. The words were brief but heavy, carrying a sense of urgency that made my heart race something was wrong.
“Can you tell me one more time with simple words and short sentences because I might miss heard ha-ha-ha”
The angel in front of me has a question mark popping in his head and he spoke
“The ruler of hell is missing!”
The sudden rush of tension made my thoughts spiral. I hadn’t expected this. This wasn’t how today was supposed to go
“But why?”
“No idea brother when I visit his nowhere to be found”
“Is he hiding or something his not the type of person to do that but can you recheck it for me?”
“Yes brother I'm going now”
My head ached, frustration clouding my thoughts. Every possible solution slipped through my mind. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t figure it out.
Needing a break, I took a slow stroll by the riverside. The gentle sound of flowing water should have been calming, but my mind remained restless. I stared at the rippling surface, hoping for clarity but still, I had no idea what to do.
Now, I remembered that guy really loved this part of heaven.
This place had always been his favorite, a sanctuary where he would often linger, lost in thought. As I gazed at the serene landscape, I could almost see him there, standing by the river, the light reflecting off his figure. he also likes to ask Father a lot of questions hahah
Then I realize I don’t think I can handle this alone. The weight of it all pressed down on me, heavier than ever.
I took a deep breath, steadying myself. I need to talk to Father.
I spread my wings, the familiar rush of wind lifting me into the sky. With powerful strokes, I soared toward the grand castle, its golden spires gleaming under the heavenly light.
There was no time to waste. The weight of my thoughts pushed me forward as I descended onto the castle grounds, I strode through the grand halls.
I headed straight for the throne room. my heart pounding. Without a second thought, I bowed my head deeply as I spoke, I relayed everything I knew about what was happening today
“Thank you for the report son please calm down and sit along with your siblings”
His words flowed over me, It was calm, soothing, and strangely reassuring easing the tension that had been building in my chest.
Then I noticed that all of my brothers were here. Their presence filled the room with divine tension. I quietly sat down, unsure of what to say or do. We waited in silence, the air thick with anticipation
“Your brother left me a message that says your brother planned to be reincarnated on Earth… to live through every experience humans could offer love, heartbreak, sadness, happiness, all of it.”
Is he losing his mind? Is he abandoning his responsibility? The thought churned uneasily in my chest. If he wasn’t there to rule it, it might be open. The possibility was too dangerous to ignore.
“You may now speak”
“Thank you, Father, the problem is the gate of hell might open”
“Thank you, Gabriel. That is why all of you, my sons gathered here on my throne today, to take on this task and bring your brother back.”
“But how father?”
“You also be reincarnated there to find him”
The room is silent again many of the archangels have a shocked look
“Any objection?”
“….”
“So, if there’s nothing else, take a short break and return here afterward. I will reincarnate all of you, my sons. This meeting is done.”
As we go out on the throne flying back to my place, I think about what will happen when reincarnated. Because reincarnation means that you will forget all of this, being an angel and all. the only way to regain your memory is to be a spiritual being again or you have a strong mind. Also, we can't use chronothos all angel power lies in chronothos. The more you know, the stronger you become.
After a year has passed, all of my brothers gather on my father's throne preparing our self to be reincarnated
My father raised his hand, his open palm glowing softly. A calm, radiant light began to envelop the room. It wasn’t just light it was something deeper, something alive, as if it carried his very essence within it.
As the light surrounded us, a profound sense of mission awakened within me i will definitely remember all of this and find him.
***1025 years later***
What.. what is this?
A boy stood and found himself in a familiar place a garden full of flowers. There was no source of light, yet the world glowed with a soft and calm light. The boy took a step forward, though he wasn't sure why. The grass whispered against his legs, and each step seemed to make him happier and happier.
In the distance, I saw a girl in a white dress with pure white hair and white lashes and a blue pair of beautiful eyes that looked like the ocean. She's so beautiful that she looks like an angel sent from above but seeing that girl I remember.
Ah this dream again
The boy casually approaches the girl with a smile and then gives her a flower.
The girl happily accepts it and gives a depressed smile then the girl says
“Goodbye, luc...”
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
The sharp blare of my alarm shattered the dream-like glass. The room was quiet now, the morning sunlight spilling through the curtains. I swung my legs over the edge of the bed turned off the alarm and went into the bathroom to wash my face
Catching my reflection in the mirror, I paused. My eyes seemed sharper, my expression was tired. I stared at myself for a moment before whispering
“Okay time to work”
After throwing on my uniform a crisp white shirt and orange, neon green vest I slung my backpack full of tools over one shoulder while holding a hard hat and headed downstairs. I stepped outside my home locked the door and walked to the bus terminal to take a ride to work
The workplace buzzed with morning energy when I finally arrived. I slid into my usual seat by the window, letting my gaze drift as my boss stood at the front. Workers filed in, chatting and settling down.
“Boss where is the location this time??
“A gate has appeared in the center of the city so all of you be ready well be heading out soon”
***
As we arrived, it became clear the battle was far from over. The sky was filled with heroes, their figures darting between the clouds as they struck down monstrous foes. On the ground, warriors clashed fiercely, blades flashing and spells igniting as they cut down the endless tide of creatures pouring through the gate.
For a moment, it seemed like victory was within reach. The enemy forces were thinning, their attacks growing desperate. But just as hope began to take hold, the air trembled with a guttural roar. From the depths of the gate, something massive emerged its body twisted and unnatural. Towering over the battlefield, it charged forward with terrifying speed, its colossal arms swinging in a devastating arc. The impact sent heroes flying, scattering them.
Just as chaos threatened to consume the battlefield, a sudden gust of power cut through the air. A presence unlike any other descended upon the scene. And then, a top hero appeared.
Clad in gleaming white armor, with a slender figure and flowing blonde hair, the top hero stepped forward. Their beautiful pair of piercing eyes shone with a calm, determined light she says
“Stay back let me handle this those who can move quickly get the injured away”
She raised her delicate hand, gripping a sword that shimmered with an otherworldly glow. In an instant, she vanished, reappearing behind the massive creature in a blur of light. A heartbeat later, the creature froze then split cleanly in half, collapsing to the ground with a deafening thud.
The crowd erupted into cheers People shouted her name, their voices filled with awe and admiration. She stood tall, catching her breath, her gaze steady despite the chaos around her.
“She's Celestine Frosthart from the line of heroes right??”
“Yes so strong yet so beautiful my heart is beating fast”
Then, my boss spoke, his voice cutting through the tension like a blade
“Okay guys gather here the battle ends time to work”
We approached the battlefield, the stench of blood and ash thick in the air. Countless corpses of fallen creatures lay scattered across the ground.
Our job wasn’t as glamorous as the heroes. We were the…. cleanup crew. Dissecting the corpses of these creatures, extracting those energy-filled orbs yeah, I don’t know the official name either, but one of them could power a house for a week, and with two, you’d be set for even longer. After that, we hauled the remains to the gate. What happens to the corpses beyond that? No clue.
It’s not noble like what the heroes do, and it’s definitely not your typical nine-to-five. But hey, it’s a high-paying gig. Just kidding… or maybe not. At the end of the day, it’s what we do.
I watched as my boss speaking with a suspicious-looking woman, her sharp eyes and composed stance giving off an air of secrecy. then my boss eye in i meet
“Hey, Luke can you help the others on the big one?”
“Okay boss”
Heading over to the massive creature that the top hero had killed, I watched some of my companions struggle to dissect it. The thing was rock-solid now how in the world did she slice it clean in half with just a sword? Even a chainsaw was barely making a dent. Shaking my head at the thought, I joined in to help my companions extract the orb thingy.
“Hey Luke any idea how we can open this creature?”
“I have I hope it works”
I started at the weakest point the soft, boneless belly of the monster. With a swift, precise motion, I plunged my blade in The stench of blood and entrails filled the air, but I kept going, carving my way toward its chest toward its orb.
As an hour passed we finally opened the big creature and the orb was in sight what was left to do was to get it out
I watched the orb glowing inside I still didn't know how this thing could power a whole city in a month also a small impact can make it explode destroying an entire city. it's scary
“Okay it's done you can now get the orb out of the body”
“If Celestine is their hero, then for us, you're our hero, Luke”
“Stop that I'm blushing”
As I acted more feminine, everyone burst into laughter. Yeah, I guess this is part of the reason I love my job it’s unpredictable, and sometimes, it’s the little things that make it all worth it.
“Guys where done here the only work is to bring this big guy back to the gate”
One of my companions handed the glowing orb to a girl I didn't recognize was she a newbie? The orb was massive, so big you could barely wrap your arms around it, and to make things worse, it was slimy.
As he handed it over, it slipped from her grasp. For a moment, everyone froze, their faces painted with despair. It was like they’d already accepted death.
But I didn’t think I just ran. I dove forward, catching the orb with both hands, the weight almost knocking me over. My heart pounded as I muttered,
“That was close… I thought I was dead for a second.”
Everyone cheered as I caught the orb, shouting
"You're our hero, Hero Luke!"
The laughter faded into admiration, and for a moment, I couldn’t help but feel a little proud of myself.
My boss approached me and said
“You're really not a normal person, hahaha!”
“.....”
“I mean your speed is not normal, you know what because of our hero Luke let's get some beer it's my treat”
After the boss announced it was his treat, everyone burst into cheers once more. They turned to me, laughing and shouting,
"We’re really lucky to have you, Hero Luke!"
It was loud, chaotic, and a little embarrassing but deep down, it felt nice to be appreciated
“It will be good if the boss gives me a raise”
“Stop dreaming boy”
The old geezer gives me a smirk i really want to punch that face
Then I noticed behind the old geezer the girl before the newbie looking down, her eyes shimmering on the verge of tears…… I walked over to her. Gently, I said,
“Hey, why don’t you join us at the bar? It’ll be fun.”
I offered her a small smile, hoping to lift her spirits.
And she nodded
****
When we arrived at the bar, everyone settled into their seats, including me. A long silence enveloped the room, heavy but comfortable. Then, when the beers arrived, everyone gripped their mugs with a serious look. For a brief moment, the atmosphere felt tense until, in an instant, we all shouted,
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
“Cheers!”
Laughter erupted, breaking the quiet as people started talking and joking with one another. The room filled with warmth and joy, and for a moment, it was peaceful a rare, beautiful sight amidst all the chaos of our lives.
But the newbie in the distance is silent and still looking down did she blame herself for what happened before?
“Excuse me, boss”
I approached the girl, her gaze still fixed on her drink of juice and offered her a calm, reassuring smile.
"Hey,"
I said gently, hoping to ease whatever weight she was carrying.
“I'm sorry”
Her voice barely audible. Was she still stuck on what happened earlier the orb slipping out of her hands? I sighed softly, shaking my head with a small smile.
"Hey, it’s alright. No harm done, right?"
“But everyone said they’d be dead if the orb dropped… It’s a big problem”
I sat beside her and said with a smile
“Look, it could’ve been a problem, but it wasn’t. I caught it, didn’t I? That’s what matters. No one’s hurt, no disaster just a story to laugh about later”
She still looking down huh while preparing my biggest smile I say
“Hey look at me”
She raised her head and looked at me. I raised my hand and pointed to the crowd of people who were laughing, looking like no disaster had happened earlier.
“See it's okay”
She is silent and says
“Thank you, sir”
“Oh, I'm sorry my name is Lucian Noxvale you can call me Luke like everybody else”
“Uhmm thank you sir Luke Uhm I’m Iris Frosthart”
Uhh shes looking down again but I guess it's okay
"Frosthart, huh?"
I muttered under my breath, the name popping into my head for some reason. I found myself tilting my head over and over, trying to piece it together. Frosthart… Was it from that anime? Or was my brain just throwing random things at me because of how tired I was? The more I thought about it, the less sense it made, and yet, I couldn’t shake the feeling I’d heard it somewhere before.
Then I heard something from my companion who was talking
“But today is our lucky day, right? we had a free drink and we saw the must beautiful hero Celestine Frosthart”
“Yeah still can't believe that it all happened in the same…..”
“Huh… hahaha!”
I chuckled nervously as the realization hit me. She has the same last name as the top hero Frosthart. And not just that, it’s the Frosthart family.
“Haha… oh no.”
My laughter trailed off as the weight of it sank in. I think I screwed up, glancing at her. Great, just great of all the people to accidentally tease with a bar invite and a casual vibe, it had to be someone from that family.
But the real question hit me Why is she here?!!
Before I could think it through, I found myself standing abruptly. The sudden movement caught everyone’s attention, and their eyes, including hers, shifted toward me.
I forced a smile, nodding slightly as if to reassure her, then quickly turned and started walking toward my boss. My pace was calm at first, but each step became quicker as my thoughts raced. I need answers... now.
“Hey boss I think there is something you need to apologize and explain at the same time”
“What is it hero Luke”
How dare you laugh at me right now i want to punch this geezer's face
“Why is the Frosthart member here?? and why you did not introduce her to us at the start of work?”
The old man smiled and looked at me with a knowing expression, almost like he’d been expecting me
I want to punch him
“The head of the Frosthart family told me they wanted their member to experience what it’s like near the gate, She was supposed to arrive earlier, but she’s late. Honestly, I thought the whole plan was canceled.”
He glanced toward her, then back at me.
“When she finally showed up, I wanted to gather everyone and formally introduce her. But she stopped me, Said she didn’t want to cause a fuss or draw attention to herself. She’s... well, scared she’d be a bother or something.”
I blinked, processing his words. The Frosthart? one of the top guilds no no no family?? to draw attention? The idea almost felt surreal, but looking back at her timid demeanor, it suddenly made sense.
“Hey old man I guess I deserve a raise, or I will punch you right here right now”
“.......”
A silent envelope the entire room
“Oh did I say the second part out loud?”
Bam! A punch from the old man flew right at me, landing squarely on my face. The force sent me flying backward. I crashed to the ground but quickly scrambled back to my feet.
Without thinking, I launched myself at him, fist clenched tight, and delivered a punch right to his face. The old man staggered back, surprised by the sudden counterattack. It feels good
The whole room erupted into laughter, the crowd enjoying the usual chaotic scene. It was as if this kind of thing happened all the time
“I can't believe this guy is still not fired hahaha”
“Hi's the only guy I know that can do that to the boss”
Someone shouted from the crowd, their voice cutting through the laughter. It was one of my companions, looking slightly exasperated
“Hey, you two, stop! Oh, wait, what if we played a game?”
“What game?”
We say it at the same time
“Hey I have a card here let's play old maid”
The suggestion hung in the air for a moment, and then the whole room seemed to perk up at the idea. A game? Maybe it was the perfect way to shake off the tension
“Let me join”
“Me too”
“The one who loses will have no choice they must do whatever the first who finish decides”
“Let go geezer I will make you raise my salary”
“Hahaha let's see about that”
This old geezer is easy to read. Every twitch, every glance—it's all written on his face.
I smirked, confident. I can finish this game of Old Maid in no time.
An hour passed by in a blur of laughter, shouting, and competitive spirit as we played the game. I gave it my all but in the end... I lost.
"Hah, I guess I’m just not that lucky,"
“Hey, kid”
While watching the old man's smirking face want me to punch that face again huh
“I dare you to escort that lady over there to the terminal. They’ll be picking her up”
As the old man raised his hand pointing at Iris Frosthart I mutter
“Haha I screwed again”
As the laughter and cheers continued behind me, I quietly left the room, glancing back one last time. Watching them enjoy themselves brought a bittersweet feeling, and before I knew it, tears welled up in my eyes. I quickly wiped them away, shaking my head.
Now, it was just Iris and me. Escorting her to the terminal felt heavier than it should, my thoughts racing. If anything happens to her, I will be executed, I thought grimly.
“Uhmm sir Luke I'm okay being with myself if you want you can join them”
Ahh , what a sweet girl I noticed her holding her hand close to herself, her fingers trembling slightly. The air outside was chilly her face turning red
Without thinking much, I reached out and offered her my hand.
“Here, Your hand looks cold. This might help.”
She hesitated for a moment before slowly placing her hand in mine. Her fingers felt icy to the touch, but as I held them, I could feel the warmth slowly transferring between us.
We had been walking for quite a while, and as the terminal came into view, a wave of nostalgia washed over me. The quiet footsteps, the chilly air, the occasional glances at her it all reminded me of walking with my little sister back then.
I glanced at her face, that has turning redder. wait wait a second is this
Wait... is what I’m thinking actually happening? I glanced at her face again, which was turning even redder. Oh no... is it because… my hand is cold too?!
A wave of realization hit me, and I silently cursed myself. Why didn’t I think about that?!
I awkwardly pulled my hand back but she put a grip on it i turned my face at her
“Uh sorry about that…”
The redness in her face was gone, replaced by a look of pure fear. Her wide eyes shimmered with tears, and her lips trembled like she was on the verge of screaming. Her whole body tensed as if ready to bolt at any moment.
I froze, following her terrified gaze. That’s when I felt it a familiar sensation that sent a chill down my spine. It was like being back at work.
I turned toward the direction she was staring, and there it was a small gate, flickering and unstable, opening and closing erratically. The sight made my chest tighten.
Before I could react, two humanoid creatures stepped out of the gate. Their forms were twisted and unnatural, their movements jerky as they scanned the area. My instincts kicked in immediately. This wasn’t supposed to happen here.
“Solaneth viraluin, toleshira anel”
“Vireth olthiros! Kaelenar estielis!”
“AN INTELLECTUAL ZALTHAR!!!”
As the creatures began to speak, a chill ran through me. The language they were using was so familiar. I had heard it before, but it didn’t quite register at first. It was like a distant memory, something I’d encountered in the field, but never this close. Their voices sounded harsh, yet strangely rhythmic, as if they were communicating with purpose.
I couldn’t help but feel a sense of déjà vu like I had crossed paths with these creatures before or maybe encountered their kind during one of my more dangerous clean-up works. But I still do not know what they are talking and they seem confused or something. I think this is the best way to make Iris run and go to the terminal because for sure their heroes there waiting for her. i forcefully releasing my hand at here and say
“Iris when I say run run as fast to the terminal”
As if she knows something she ask
“you're running too right sir Luke?”
“l do something to hold them”
“But…”
I forced a smile, trying to ease the tension as I glanced at Iris. Her fear was palpable, and I needed to calm her down, even if just a little.
“It's okay, Iris You know, people say I’m an abnormal human. so I'm not dying easily. So, don’t worry too much about me, alright?”
As soon as I finished speaking, the creatures turned their attention to me. Their movements grew sharper, more deliberate as if they had caught onto something.
Then it hit me they weren’t focused on me. Their gaze shifted past me, locking onto Iris. My stomach dropped as I realized what was happening. They’ve figured out she’s the priority.
Without hesitation, the creatures lunged toward her, their inhuman speed catching me off guard. My body moved before my mind could catch up, stepping in front of Iris as I braced myself something pierced me….
“Not on my watch,”
I muttered under my breath, every muscle tensing. facing iris I yelled.
“RUN IRIS FIND SOME HELP!!!”
My blood was dripping rapidly, pooling beneath me as the pain began to blur everything around me. My consciousness wavered. I could barely stand, my legs trembling, but I refused to fall.
I guess it's pointless their speed could outrun her through the haze of my fading senses, something unexpected caught my attention the creatures. They weren’t advancing anymore. They were stepping back, their bodies tense, as if they were… afraid?
“Azariel nathros ytharim! Solthariel...”
“Ylithar greloran, sephoril?”
They are communicating again i guess they mocking me? for prioritizing the girl before my life haha…. I pulled the tentacle that pierced me I smiled and said
“I hope she can find help”
Suddenly the strength in my legs gave out. My vision blurred further, and the weight of my body became unbearable. I stumbled forward, unable to stop myself, and collapsed to the ground.
The cold, hard surface pressed against my cheek as the sounds around me grew distant Damn it… not now… I thought, struggling to keep my eyes open. But no matter how hard I tried, the darkness crept in.
As the darkness swallowed me, it wasn’t just emptiness that greeted me. Images began to form, hazy at first, then slowly sharpening, like a dream or was it something more? it's like I'm his eyes watching what his doing.
Words I couldn’t understand filled my ears, the same language the creatures had spoken earlier
“Edeneth tholaris! Kephranor ishiros.”
“Kezuh denarth tho”
“Kapors ezack mosh”
It’s of a kind being helping others, along with a figure of authority commanding something strange a being that floats in the air, surrounded by countless watchful eyes.
The scene shifted again, and I found myself standing by a flowing river. The water was crystal clear, gliding smoothly over polished stones, its gentle sound filling the silence. Something about it felt calming like it was calling me closer.
Without thinking, I stepped toward it, my feet splashing lightly in the cool water. As I moved further, I glanced down—and froze. The ripples stilled for just a moment, and the reflection became clear.
My breath caught.
It wasn’t just any face staring back it was….. ME
Suddenly, a surge of energy rippled through me no, not energy… it's wisdom. It was as if someone had opened my mind, pouring knowledge and memories all at once. My head throbbed, staggering as the overwhelming rush overtook me.
Images flashed before my eyes battles I hadn’t fought, places I’d never been, and faces I didn’t recognize but felt deeply connected to. Words and ideas that I couldn’t explain surfaced in my thoughts, clear as day.
arghhhh
What is this? My mind screamed, struggling to process it all. It wasn’t just knowledge it was understanding, truths about myself, about the world, and maybe even about the creatures.
“His blood looks like those bastard from the above brother”
“Yeah I know but we killed him so it's fine let continue the plan to run amok in this city and go home”
As my eyes fluttered open, the world came back into focus. The creatures were still there, standing menacingly nearby, but something was different. Their voices, once incomprehensible, now echoed clearly in my mind.
Hearing their words sent a chill down my spine. run amok in the city? I clenched my fists, my body trembling, not with fear, but with anger. And then, it happened.
A surge of power coursed through me, like fire igniting in my veins. It was raw, unrelenting, and entirely unfamiliar, yet I felt as though I’d always carried it within me.
The creatures noticed immediately. Their heads snapped toward me vanished and launched an attack
“Rule number one don't wait for your enemy's transformation”
“.......Bro..brother his gone”
I pressed my hand against my chest, expecting the sharp sting of an open wound—but there was nothing. My skin was whole. The blood that had been pouring out before was gone as if it had never been there.
The wisdom of healing is really working. Somehow, the knowledge that had surged into my mind wasn’t just theoretical it was practical, tangible. It had healed me, mended what should have been fatal. I face them and mutter
“I think I can fight now”
The creatures didn’t hesitate for a moment. Without wasting any time, they launched a flurry of attacks at me, their movements swift and relentless. Blades of energy, sharp claws, and piercing tendrils came at me from all sides, each strike aiming to end me in a heartbeat.
In the blink of an eye, my body moved on its own, faster than even I could comprehend. One of the creatures barely had time to react before I struck back.
With one swift motion, I closed the distance between one of them, my fists striking finding their marks effortlessly. Each blow landed with devastating precision, the power surging through me.
But suddenly, the two of them became even stronger. Their smiles sent a chill down my spine as if they had been toying with me all along.
Before I could react, they vanished from my sight. Are they faster than me? The thought barely had time to form before
Slash!
A strike came out of nowhere, hitting me with terrifying force. Pain exploded through my body, and I staggered back, my mind racing. When did they move? I hadn’t even seen it coming.
I tried to stand up, but they wasted no time. Another strike came crashing down on me, forcing me back. They were powerful far stronger than I had expected.
We exchanged blows, each impact shaking my body, but I refused to fall. Then, suddenly, I saw an opening. Without hesitation, I lunged forward, grabbing the creature’s arm with all my strength. With a fierce pull, I ripped it off.
Before it could even scream, I drove my fist into its face with all my might. The force sent the creature flying, crashing straight into a nearby building with a thunderous impact. Dust and debris exploded into the air, but I didn’t let my guard down. This fight wasn’t over yet.
We exchanged blows again, each strike faster and more brutal than the last. The remaining opponent was relentless, but I held my ground, refusing to back down.
Then, a chilling realization hit me I had lost track of the one I had sent flying into the building. My eyes darted around, but they were nowhere to be seen.
Where did they go?
“Hey, you miss me?”
Before I could react, a sudden force crashed into my back. Pain exploded through me as I was sent flying forward, slamming hard into the ground. Dust rose around me as I struggled to move, my body aching from the unexpected attack.
“I don't know why he got strong i sense no energy at him before”
“Yes brother I lost my hand look hahaha”
“But I don't like his smell it smells like those bastards from above”
“I'm scared when seeing him at first too brother”
“Let finish him off before he can recover”
While preparing his hand to pierce me they made a mistake they let their guard down.
In the blink of an eye, I moved, faster than even they could react. Before they realized what had happened, I appeared right in front of the one-armed creature.
Without hesitation, I drove my hand straight into its chest. My fingers tore through flesh and bone, piercing deep. The creature’s eyes widened in shock, its body trembling as it struggled to process what had just happened.
And a minute passed, one of the creatures collapsed to the ground, lifeless. The air around me stilled, the chaos replaced by an eerie silence. I stood there, my chest heaving, trying to process what had just happened.
"Hey, you're next! I will definitely take you down!"
I declared, stepping forward with unwavering determination.
As I approached the last enemy, ready to strike, a familiar voice echoed behind me. I felt a wave of relief wash over me, easing the tension in my chest. The familiar voice grounded me, pushing away the weight of battle.
“See I'm not normal I’m still aliv…..”
Everything around me began to blur. The world spun uncontrollably, my vision fading in and out shit there was one enemy left I need to kill
“Luke stay with me”
“LUKE!!....”
I tried to stay awake, but the darkness was too strong. My consciousness slipped away, and the last thing I could remember was the warm hand of Iris and her crying face.

Thank you for reading my first chapter! I hope you all liked it. This is my first time uploading my story. I love writing fiction, but I was always scared to share it because I worried my story might not be good enough.
A few of my friends read it for the first time, and I didn’t receive the reaction I expected. Instead of criticism, they praised my work and encouraged me to upload it.
So here I am, sharing my first chapter! The next chapter, 1.5 (Iris's POV), is almost done.
I’m ready to receive feedback to help me improve, but please don’t be too harsh HAHAH
Oh, and I almost forgotthe cover is AI-generated, but I plan to replace it someday.
Once again, thank you for reading!
