Chapter 3 - Best Friends

Chapter 3 - Best Friends

Along the few years after the strange happening Félix understood his power. He tried many things to control it and some actually worked.

Even if he was just a child he knew this power was great and it would be bad if he showed to people he didn't trust enough.

He was now nine years old and next year he would take the test { A/N I would also call it awakening or something similiar so don't be confused.}

He wondered what was the name of his power or if he would have an elemental affinity.

-" Honey, it's dinner time!"

Félix ran downstairs and sat with his family, eating a good meal.

Keisha wasn't home but they were happy that she was being given a proper education.

They even got a letter from her saying that she got a boyfriend. Father wasn't too happy about it.

His family were the ones he trusted the most, so he will share his power with them.

-" We're running out of money, how is work?"

Mother and Father were whispering to each other about their problems not wanting to worry their son.

They knew his favourite thing now to do was drawing. But for the past years it was getting difficult to buy the paper, ink etc.

They had to made their best to atleast let their son do what he liked the most. And he was good a it, very good.

-" Mother, Father I have something to share with you."

They looked at their son waiting for the announcement.

-" I want to show you guys something."

Félix got up from his seat and picked his materials from one shelf.

He sat again and started to draw something.

His parents were confused. They knew he was a genius when it comes to drawing but what was he really trying to show them?

He finished his drawing.

It was a golden coin. Perfect size, every little detail.

They have never shown him a golden coin, he must've had seen around the market.

But to memorize the details, he was really amazing.

-" Is this what you wanted to show us?" Tanisha asked.

-" Wait, there's more.."

Not expecting ,their son started to do some strange movements with his hands, they were giving a gold aura around them making it look like it was a godly aura.

Out of nowhere the gold coin that was on the paper dissapeared and appeared on Félix's hand. It wasn't a drawing anymore.

It was a real gold coin!

Tanisha and Leonardo had no words for what they just watched. This was some kind of talent they have never seen before.

They were sure no one had that power ever before, yet he knew how to wield it so well.

Leonardo picked te golden coin and decided to bite it.

Being a merchant he knew this was a real gold coin.

Their son's gift was amazing.

-" So, it was really you who made those plants appear around around our house years ago?"

Félix nodded.

He was expecting his parents get angry at him for not telling them but they were calm. Well, only on the outside.

Leonardo put down the gold coin and picked his son's hands clasping them together. He looked in his son's eyes and with seriousness on his voice he spoke.

-" Son, in this world there are many bad people that would do everything for your power. Please use it carefully."

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

Félix already knew this. He wouldn't use his power for useless things. He would help his family.

His power didn't make him tired, but sometimes when he tried very hard it could be exhausting.

Tanisha clapped her hands breaking the silence.

-" Well, let's forget this for now and talk about other things, here honey." She said while handing the gold coin to Félix.

Of course Félix didn't accept and after many tries he convinced his mother to stay with the money,

It would help, a lot.

-" When is sister going home?"

-" Oh she told me she would come next year to watch your awakening." Father answered.

-" She said she was going to bring that brat she calls boyfriend too. I can't believe this. And the boy is a freakin noble! An arrogant noble!"

Father was fuming with anger.

It was normal Keisha could get a noble boyfriend even if she was a commoner.

She was talented and a beauty too. Even if sometimes, with the puberty, she would be very tiresome towards Félix.

After the dinner they all went to sleep.

Or not.

**********************

Félix woke up with the sunlight on his face. He wanted to sleep a little more but today he would be meeting with his Best friend Sophia.

Sophia and him met when they were 6 years old. They soon became great friends and would do everything together.

Sophia was kind of boyish. She liked to play with boys and dress in some pants and a simple shirt. She hated all kind of dresses and skirts.

Even being boyish, Félix couldn't hide that she was his little crush.

She had red fiery hair and green eyes. A very beautiful face and silky skin.

How could he not have a crush on her?

Félix got up and got dressed. He arranged his messy bed hair and rubbed his eyes from the lack of sleep.

Of course he didn't go straight to sleep. He had to draw something.

That's why, now he had a new carpet.

He got downstairs and prepared his breakfast.

Tanisha and Leo were already working and they knew Félix already knew how to take care of himself.

He ran outside towards Sophia's house and waited outside for her.

When she got out he couldn't hide his surprised look. Sophia the boyish girl was wearing a summer dress.

She looked gorgeous.

And angry.

-" Don't say anything! My mother forced me to wear this, can you believe this?"

Félix chuckled. Thank you Miss Jenett. { Sophia's Mother }

Hearing his chuckle Sophia could only blush from embarrassment and led him to play.

Sophia too had a crush for him. He was getting more handsome every day that passes and he had a mysterious aura, and she liked it.

They played all day with each other and another children from the village.

Their 10 year old awakening was coming along with surprises.
