This vow proved disastrous almost immediately. Their good intentions were met with violence. Their gentle nature was exploited. Their kindness was not welcome. As one, the beings of energy reconsidered their methods. They were not oppressors. They would not subjugate others to their will for that was not their way. It was not enough to desire a better future for the many species of the multiverse rather it was necessary that those species desire such a thing themselves. To help a being tread upon the path of righteousness, that being must take the first step themselves.

So it was decided that they would be helpers, guides, and friends to those who desired to live as they did. They would go to those who requested their aid and who sought make a positive change in the world around them. They would be saviors for those in need, protectors for those in danger, and advisers to those who were lost. As they cemented their newfound purpose, they selected a name for themselves.

All would know them as Angels from the kingdom of Heaven.
