CHAPTER-4

Akil couldn’t come to a conclusion about Magizhi. He didn’t see her anywhere. Then how’s this possible?

He thought in thousand different ways. But only the time reveals the truth.

Suddenly a sound disturbed his thoughts. Akil turned to Magi’s side.

Magi was only 5feet.There was a gap between her feet and the car floor. When she tried to sit in a comfort way, her sandals fell from her.

Akil laughed softly while seeing her childish activity.

When we talk about height in front of short people that induces their anger easily!

Magi guessed from his reactions. She started to scold him inside.

”I’m normal height only. He’s taller like a demon and laughing at me. First he stared at me and now laughing at me. If he continues then I’ll show him my face.”

Akil guessed her thoughts. A silent drama was going on, where each one read others face effortlessly.

Akil was surprised because he didn’t try to mock others. He was naughty only to his wife. Also he had to explain her, if he did any kidding. She was such an innocent wife.

She was the only daughter in her family, so she didn’t talk much. Akil always told her that their son would come to speak her out. But she died. Akil came out of his old thoughts.

He wanted to know about Magizhi now. He decided to interact with her. He asked about her company’s security equipments and its specialties. The plan worked well. Initially he started just to divert her; later the discussion goes on seriously.

She cleared all his doubts. She told about the recent technologies and researches in her field.

She said that they were subletting jammers to ensure women safety in five star hotels. It helped to find out the hidden cameras in the hotel bathrooms.

They became friends once the discussion was over. They were Magizhi and Akil at the end, yes they shortened their names to call each other. Each one praised others talent inside.

Akil was particular in his duty. He said, ”Magi, can you do me a favor? I need some ideas for the kids playing area. Can you bring your son when he is free?”

She thought for a while. He said, ”It will take one week to see all the hotels right? You bring him anyone day.”

She said ok. They reached the destination. Magi demonstrated about the security alarms in the hotel reception. There two pictures attracted Akil very much.

In first picture, a garden was completely decorated with lights. In the other picture, a Japanese woman was preparing tea in traditional kimono dress. Akil wanted to know the story behinds these two pictures. So he asked Magi.

“The first picture is ‘Nabana no sato’. It is a winter light festival celebrated at the end of the winter to welcome the upcoming light seasons. The whole park is beautifully decorated with lights.”

“The second picture is Way of tea. It is related to Japanese hospitality. It’s similar to the British culture where serving tea from the jug to the guest is a pride duty of a home maker.” She explained to Akil.

She added, ”I like Japanese dining table very much where all the family members are sit in seiza (Vajrasana) posture and the homemaker will serve food to all in the same posture. They start to teach their culture from childhood. It’s nice to see the kids in kimono dress and serving tea in the cultural school.”

Akil noticed that she was longing for family. He understood about Magi.

After they checked other security equipments in the hotel, they were ready to depart.

Magi was little tensed. He understood the reason. It’s getting late.

“Anything urgent Magi?” he asked innocently.

“Yes, I’ve to pick up my son”, she said.

“Ok then come with me. I’ll drop you on the way to my hotel”, he helped.

Magi accepted because it was already late. She thought that it was not a trouble to him since the school was on the way to his hotel. She got into the car.

He asked, ”How are you managing here without a car? I know you are getting a decent salary then why don’t you buy a car?”

She smiled, ”Here we have comfortable public transport and monorails. People mostly use these transportations. They won’t spend money unwantedly”

They reached the school. Akil wanted to hug and kiss his child but he controlled his feelings. He bade good bye to Magi and didn’t get down from the car. Also he didn’t come to a conclusion about Magi, so still Akil was in confusion.

Akil always consulted his grandfather when dealing a problem. But now he couldn’t. He had only 5days to return to India.

He understood from her behavior that she was an immature girl. But how she had a kid with me? He questioned himself countless times.

He was waiting for the detective report to get a solution. He was very curious to know the result.

He took his phone that had Ezhil’s photo. He felt delighted. Akil was cheating himself that he was looking at Ezhil; actually his eyes were enjoyed watching Magi. She was very young than him and gorgeous.

He felt a new feeling. He was struck between a storm and breeze. He didn’t know that it was love. Silly guy!

The detective sent him the report at night. He did video call to Akil and said that Magi was a nice girl. Akil wanted to know the full details and started to study the report with a coffee.

Before he started, he expected that the report should said only good things about Magi.

He didn’t love anyone before so he felt that these feelings were symptoms of a new disease.

Akil was a tall rich handsome guy in Indian colour. His 6feet and exercise body gave him majestic features. So wherever he went, girls would automatically fall for him.

But Magi didn’t look at him with wrong intention. So Akil understood her good character. Finally he read the report.

Her name was Magizhini Rajan…

Magi’s father name was Rajan and her mother name was Visalakshi.

Rajan was the only child in a rich family. He loved Visalakshi who was a poor orphan girl .As usual strong opposition for their love in Rajan’s family.

Rajan didn’t want others to talk low about Visalakshi. So after their marriage they moved to Ooty. He bought a land there and did farming. It gave them enough money.

Magi was born after some years of their marriage. Also they didn’t get any children after Magi. So Magi was the pet to the family. Her parents brought her up by giving needed independence and also they were strict in her disciplines.

Magi’s home was nearer to a famous convent in Ooty. After they moved from their native to here, Visalakshi got a friend named Sister Mary who belonged to that convent. Also Magi did her schooling in that convent. Sister Mary took care of Magi as she was her friend’s daughter.

When Rajan’s parents were sick, they went to his hometown to look after them. After some days Rajan mother had died. His father wanted to stay in the same house where his mother lived these long years.

Rajan planned to sell his properties in Ooty and went back to his hometown to take care of his father. Since it was the mid of an educational year, they didn’t want to spoil Magi’s education. So they sent Magi to the convent hostel.

When Rajan’s father died, his relatives started some property issues. They thought that Rajan would never return to his father and they would get the properties. Some properties of Rajan were in the name of Rajan’s grandfather. So his cousins filed a civil case against Rajan. He was very upset, when his close relatives troubled him.

After a trial when Rajan and Visalakshi were returned from the court, a lorry hit their car. Both of them died in that accident. Some good hearted persons in the village informed this to Sister Mary. Since sister came often to meet Visalakshi, they knew about her.

Sister managed Rajan’s relatives and sold some properties and deposited the amount in Magi’s account. She gave the remaining property and house to lease. Thus she saved some amount for Magi.

At the time Magi was only 17years old. Sister Mary took care of Magi, after her parent death. Magi joined BSc Electronics and Communication in a college and stayed with Sister Mary in the hostel convent itself.

After her graduation, Magi joined a Japanese company in Chennai where she got Nishimura’s friendship. She worked in that company for three months. When she came to Japan, she was just 20years old and three months pregnant. She attended an interview in Japan and got this job.

Akil completed his reading but he didn’t come to a conclusion. Her place was completely unrelated to him. When she was pregnant, he was not in India for a year. He was totally confused.

“Past is past. Now I want my son”, he planned well.

As a first step Akil called Magi’s company MD.
