Each month has 28 days, months that start with the letter 'a' are when dragons are active.
List of continents, according to sapients (dragons don't distinguish between islands and continents);
Gimhil: Southernmost continent. Shaped like a crab claw pointing upwards.
Nuvil: Slightly northeast of Gimhil. Shaped like a shark tooth at an angle.
Holdil: Around the equator, largest continent. Opposite of Nuvil. Shaped like a cat.
Tilmil: Northernmost continent. Shaped like a donut.
Megados; a supervolcano that caused the northern wastes. Dragons use its eruption as a reference point in time.

Norther wastes; a large area of low ambient mana. Covers the northern half of the Nuvil continent. Has been receding over time at a rate of about 10 m every year.
Sapients are any race of monsters that are capable of intelligent conversation and conflict with dragons. They are made by uplifting rituals, selective breeding, or large amounts of pure dragon blood. All sapients can trace their origin to a dragon.
A bastard is any monster that is born between a dragon and non-dragon. They have the physical strength of dragons, but usually lack intelligence. They are also immune to most magic, and cannot cast any spells. Dragons have varying opinions on bastards.
Ritual magic uses a magic circle, materials, and time to cast powerful magic. They do not need to be 'learned' like spells. They usually use either ambient mana or mana stored in the material components.
In order to cast a spell, you must 'learn' the spell using a learning ritual. This ritual takes longer to complete the more spells you 'learn'. Casting a spell always uses ambient mana first, then the caster's mana.
