I was woken up by Aiko's alarm, that a dangerous creature were nearby. My alertness were instantly peaked, but when i saw the said creature, it all gone.

It was Kipsa, stood on nearby branch, with his unworldly smirk.

"Do you have a nice sleep?" He asked

"Pretty much" i said while searching for my prize from last battle.

The body was still there, with both of the wings stuck at different place.

I quickly envelope the body and went to retrieve the wings

"You even almost lost your life for fighting this creature? I doubt you can last longer here" Kipsa spoke again, with more depth in his 'voice' now

"Yeah, Sorry for being weak" i said lightly, my focus now is eating the moth, but with Kipsa here, i'm to restless to even have appetite.

"Just remember, the you right now, can't even place your foot at the place across without being dead first" with that Kipsa gone again, and i'm already annoyed with Aiko alarm, is there no snooze or stop button ?

My hunger came when Kipsa was gone, in a flash i finished my 'breakfast'

The things i gained was extremely small. I only gained the spiked tentacle, which almost no use for me now, and i need to undergo evolution process to acquire it, totally not worth it.

When i got back to near the stream, i noticed the slime were less, only half of dozen. But with the light, i could see their hued color clearly, two of them were reddish in color, one in light green, one in deep green, and two more in blue-purplish color. I guess it was indicator of their element probably.

Thinking of what i would gained from eating them, i made a plan to lure them. But this time, with safety placed first. I spread my thread as far as i can, a creature will alert me from their vibration.

But before going for the slime i checked my bait that i left last night. All of the bait on the tree were missing, but i couldn't find any body nearby. I guess another creature got free dinner last night.

The same thing happened with the one in the water.

Now, I'm going to hunt for the slime. It was easy for most part, i just need to drop concentrated saliva directly from above the tree. The annoying part were, when the slime paralyzed, another slime, with surprising speed, quickly envelope the victim, and there goes my prey.

With the remaining five, i changed my approach, instead of directly using my saliva, i put them inside ball of my thread. It was arduos, making a watertight ball using thread, but it was worth it.

I simultaneously threw the five poison bomb. The effect were varying though, the red slime reacted the fastest, followed by the blue-purplish one, the light and deep green took the longest. They even had the time to initiate an attack towards the paralyzed slime, but half way, the effects kicked in, and i have five paralyzed-slash-dead slime.

Quickly went there, before something take away my food again. I only went for the nucleus, knowing that was the most important part of slime.

When i found a good place at the canopy, i began my feast, of five golf ball sized nucleus.

'What, only that? was the number not sufficient?'

Without paying more thought to that, i searched for other creature to be preyed only to find somekind of deer. Which i could say, bigger than normal deer- that i have information of- in my brain. With a huge pair of antlers, that have six branch each. It stood with magnanimity of a king, but i could see the eyes were restless. Its golden fur, shone with depth, not emiting kind, but swallowing light. As presence came as i inched closer

"You will die, if you try to make a move with that" Kipsa, as usuall came with the late Aiko's alarm.

"That's an inner circle creature, not something that anything here could deal with, well except me" he said with a untraceable arrogance.

"Huh, inner circle? What do you mean?" He already gone when i turned around

'Che, don't just pop up whenever you like'

Although Kipsa cleared my suspicion, that the deer was unimaginably powerful. Because with that massive body, i couldn't even detect its presence, and looks like it can fool Aiko's alarm too.

Still,my curiosity got better of me. I stick around to watch the deer. It just stood there, almost not moving, except a few flick of its pointy finger. Its eyes i noticed, has different color, the left with darkish yellow, while the right has black pupil with a shade of violet.

When i blinked, my mind suddenly in daze, because that freaking huge deer, was gone. In a blink of my eyes, without sound, without any broken patch of bush, or broken twigs, just gone like that.

When i got to the place it was standing before, i saw a small pool of goldenish liquid, that i presume as blood. So that deer were fleeing, which amazed me more, if the deer were on peak condition, how strong it will be? Then a realization dawned on me, if a creature that strong were fleeing, how strong was the creature that chasing it?

I went away as fast i as i come, affraid something might happen. I didn't realize that the light has gone as i explore a better part of the forest, but the lack of creature were killing me.

Like the night before, i went to near the stream. Hoping to found another creature to prey upon.

This time i found a different kind of slime. It has silvery gleam to its color, and it size was twice the size of ordinary slime.

'Looks like its attacking other slime'

I didn't quickly made balls of poison for them. Looking at their number alone sent chill to my spine.

Instead i was watching the silver slime hunting. Although it breaks my heart to not eat every single one of them, it was just not possible for me to barge in there without taking any serious injury.

After quite some time, the three dozens slime were only fifteen left. So i started my own hunting, picking a lone red slime, ball thrown, gotcha, with aid from my woven thread, now i could move with almost perfect freedom in the canopy.

A notification came, but i ignored it, and came for two other slime, a yellow and blue. Ball thrown, gotcha. No notif this time.

The remaining slime were ten, including the silver on. But here's come the hard part, most of them were crowding in same spot. I'm confidence that i could take them all, but the silver one is a factor that unlikely predictable. Betting on my luck, i quickly threw five balls to the nearest, but i didn't come to them, instead i threw another four balls towards the remaining ordinary slime.

With the silver slime busy eating on of the paralyzed slime, i quickly threw another four balls of poison towards the silver slime, considering it size, four should be sufficient and yes the big slime movement came to stop.

I quickly went there, affraid some food thief came to steal it. But to my demise, it wasn't paralyzed. The slime shot out spikes from its body. Even with my fast reaction, the spikes still injured my left shoulder.

'Battle on' i thought as adrenaline rushed in my blood.

Quickly i threw another balls, but looks like it has no apparent effect except making its movement slow.

The disadvantage of being a magical creature without any mean of magical attacks.

So i relied on the brawn and brain combination. Knowing that melee is out of the question, i opted for ranged fight.

This timw instead of throwing balls quickly, i made a slightly bigger one, with more of my poison in it.

The effect was not satisfying, the slime only stopped for a few seconds before charging towards me again.

Knowing that, i ran around while picking the earlier slime nucleuses, while shot out threads all over the place.

After eating them a few notification came, i ignored it too. This time i sprang up towards the canopy, hoping the slime couldn't climb or reach here. and yes, it couldn't reach nor climb here, but the chase was not over, with the spikes, the silver slime attacked the tree where i was. Although i will have some time before the trunk destroyed, it was still made me restless. Instead of wasting more time, i quickly create a bigger ball injected with a volume of poison that left me with tiredness.

As the last bit of my poison injected, the tree started to tilt. I jumped to one of my thread after throwing the ball.

The silver slime defeat was not directly because of me though. My ball of poison could paralyzed the slime, and because of that, it couldn't get away from the falling tree, which splattered the hell out of it.

Thankfully the nucleus didn't get crushed under the tree, with leisure i was eating it, until the beloved notification came along with the other that i ignored before.
