"Roy O'Roy, it looks like you're not feeling well," Jio said, knowing he was the one to blame for letting Lala drive the vehicle.
Roy looks at Jio, laughing and taking control back as the speed slows. Weko immediately jumps to Jio's lap and starts to climb around his body, showing his affection for not driving like a madman, and goes back to Lala since she smells like flowers and the Goddess who pets his soft, smooth and silky hair.
If the cart's speed remains the same, they will reach the city in the morning. Every time Lala got bored, she would bother Jio by biting his arms, climbing his head like a summit, and so much more to annoy him.
Reko's purpose is to play with Lala and not join her; Jio does not see this happening.
Nothing special came about during their travel from start to finish, and no monster kind, beast, or bandits attacked, which surprised Roy, thinking he didn't need an escort, but he also considered that it might be because of Jio's plans or the artifact.
Arriving in the city safely, Roy offers the two breakfasts, where he will share information about Maleficia.
"Don't look at me like that. I didn't do anything; maybe it's my luck!" Jio grinned and thought that it might be his dark magic, Lala's slime core, or Weko himself, a small and might be very dangerous creature.
"You guys look hungry; I know a place," Roy happily lets out as he ignores Jio's word.
The people in the restaurant look at Jio's group because Lala looks like a little Goddess who descended from heaven, and with Weko's cuteness, everyone can't take their eyes off their direction. Jio doesn't seem to care about the attention but patiently waiting for information about Maleficia. With his busy schedule, Roy tells everything he knows about Maleficia and plans to leave after eating.
"Thank you for escorting me. It's my first time moving without accidents!" Roy happily let out.
"Maybe it's my luck!" Jio said in a bragging matter.
"Or maybe it's the horn! If you don't mind, can I buy it from you?" Roy asks, hoping he can trade with Jio.
"It's fake. I showed it to you so that you won't worry about anything," Jio tells Roy as he takes the regular horn and shows it to him.
"..." Roy looks at Jio in disbelief, and questions start popping into his head the more he thinks about it.
"Before you go, I have a request," Jio said, taking a universal bag out.
Inside the bag are collections of countless weapons and artifacts that Jio acquired as trophies from the war. It has no use to him, and Roy is the perfect opportunity.
*I might need him in the future; I hope he answers my call when the time comes* Jio thought, hoping he doesn't need to call him for help.
In Roy's understanding, he hired Jio for his service, but when he looks inside the universal bag, he needs to pinch himself and can not believe the treasure within. In Jio's eyes, it's junk he needs to get rid while Roy sees it as a royal armory that makes him think that Jio belongs to one of the great families.
Before Roy bows to Jio in the restaurant, Jio stops him before it happens and requests him to serve and stay loyal to him.
"I don't need those, but I want you to be available if I need your help in the future," Jio states with a smile.
"I promise! I will make a company to your liking, and no one will dare to offend it and always be on standby to aid your need!" Roy declares.
"That's all I wanted," Jio said as Roy left the restaurant with a smile, knowing he could achieve his lifelong dream.
Jio plans to visit the city's famous hot springs after breakfast, but a well-dressed man with his girlfriend and two lackeys walk toward their table and interrupts them, "Your pet looks cute, and my girlfriend is eying it for a hot minute. I'm kinda jealous; how much?"
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
Sighing and looking at the group, Jio, annoying let out, "Huh? It's not for sale."
"It looks like you don't know our young master," one of the lackeys said after he aggressively hit the table.
Everyone in the restaurant looks down and tries not to get involved, but before the lackeys start a fight with Jio, their young master stops them and walks away.
*Guess I need to deal with them later* Jio thought, sighing as he slowly drinks his tea.
"Geo, you teach them a lesson or two," Lala said with food in her mouth.
"Don't worry; we will see them again, and you should not speak when your mouth is full," Jio smiles and tells Lala to eat her food slowly and order more food.
With Jio knowing that people would be waiting for them outside the restaurant, he ensured that Lala fell asleep after the meal.
After half an hour, "Where do we sleep? *yawns* Geo..." Lala asks as she stands up and leans into Jio's arms, falling asleep.
While walking on the streets carrying Lala, Jio knows they are being followed and walks to an alley where no one can watch them fight or call for help.
"You guys can reveal yourself now," Jio let out as he put earmuffs over Lala's ears to block any sounds the fight would cause and placed Lala with Weko under the tree.
"You can still save your skin by giving your little pet to the boss," the lackey states.
"Sorry, but my little sister's pet, Weko, is not for sale," Jio answers.
"Oh, we're way passed that! I'm telling you to give it to the boss!" The other lackey declares.
The lackeys' boss stops the two and announces, "You made us wait for a long time, but I'm feeling good this morning. Why don't you hand... Weko? Over, and no one gets hurt."
"Who are you? And just why?" Jio asks with an innocent face.
"You don't know our boss? The only son of Rodas Family, a first-rate family!" One of his lackeys angrily said.
"Sorry, but I don't recognize such. Silly. Family name," Jio grinned, trying to provoke the group and taking a blanket out from his ring for Lala and taking out a C-Rank Water Sword.
"YOU DARE!" The boss shouts and sends his lackeys to make Jio pay for disrespecting his whole family.
Jio swings the sword as he has never fought before, and since his weapon is used for crowd control, he only pushes the lackeys away from him.
"Im warning you! If any of you come any closer... You'll get hurt!" Jio shouted but sounded hesitant, hoping the mugging would stop.
"KEEP ATTACKING! His bluffing, and he doesn't know how to fight!" The boss shouts.
Jio continues to use his weapon to push his enemies away as they take their shields out to block his continuous attack until the boss decides to join the fight. Since Jio leaves himself full of openings, the boss uses his ability to blend into the shadows.
*Are you planning to strike me from behind?* Jio thought
"I'm bored!" Jio announces, and the water coming from the sword starts to move violently and rampant until the high-pressure water concentrates on the handle.
*Cloud might be telling the truth about coming from another world. I never thought of using the elements like this. This should be fun!* Jio thought about what his brother told him about his previous life from another world.
Jio waits for the lackeys to attack, and upon getting to the weapon's reach, he cuts their high-quality shields and puts fear on their faces.
"It actually works! Cloud, I want to hear more about your world!" Jio lets out as the boss comes out of his shadow.
Jio knows where the boss is from the beginning and decides to scare him by swinging his sword at him without actually landing an attack.
"That's the reason you're not afraid and act so mighty; you own an A rank soul weapon," the boss let out after getting back on his feet.
"A rank? Don't be ridiculous! It's a C rank, but thanks to my control, this happens!" Jio brags about how a random civilian can do something impossible.
The boss shouts at his lackeys, "What are you two doing? He's just one man. With me, we can take him down!"
Jio gets serious and evades what comes in his way like a real veteran, and when he swings his sword, the thin water jet extends to the boss's face leaving a deep cut.
He didn't bother to leave a mark on the lackeys.
While screaming from the pain, Jio escapes with Lala and Weko while people on the street start to investigate and look at what is happening in the alley. Knowing who is injured, everyone tries to help and looks for the person who caused Rodas's only son harm. Thanks to Jon's new ability to change color and perception filter ability around itself from the Soul Grade clothing he used from the previous city, they effortlessly blend into the crowd and get away before they realize it's too late.
After checking in to the hotel, Jio joins Lala and rests after a long escort mission. Jio plans to relax after they wake up and visit the hot spring in the hotel and leave the city because of the little incident in the alley with the Rodas family's only son.
After the hot spring, they immediately leave the city before anyone recognizes them since Jio knows they will be looking for a middle-aged man and a little sister with an adorable pet. Roy told him that the last place Maleficia was seen was at Fish Village, but they needed to cross a volcano named Mount Mayon.
Mount Mayon is an active volcano, and based on Jio's research,
it only erupts once a month in March. A story is told about a Fire Spirit who was tricked by his fellow Spirit kind for being talented and was imprisoned by the Spirit God to this very volcano.
