Joseph was bored out of his mind. The last days had been really intense, but since he didn't have any clients, he had nothing to do other than stay at home and watch tv. A day passed, then two days and then a whole week passed without anything interesting happening.

Joseph became determined and decided to go search for a client on his own. However as soon as he opened his front door, a giant hulking figure looked down at him and smirked.

" Sup' Joseph, remember me ?" Asked the happy giant as Joseph mentally cried.

' Hamagiri ?! The heck is he doing here ?! Did he come here to kill me because I know too much ?! Fuck I may need to use flash steps If it comes to that.' Thought Joseph in panic as the system tried to calm him, but Hamagiri merely entered the house without Joseph's accord and sat down on the couch.

" Don't be so panicked Joseph, I ain't your ennemy."

Hamagiri tried to reassure Joseph and it worked as the young man brought a chair and pointed at it. Hamagiri got the message and sighed before leaving the couch.

[ Being rude with such a powerful person coulf prove to be a grave mistake, host]

' I don't give a damn, he entered my house without my permission, he ain't siting on my couch !'

Hearing that Joseph snorted which confused Hamagiri a bit.

' Oh really ? You think so ? It's not like I don't talk to anyone, have no friends and treat my family like they are strangers.' Thought Joseph.

" Okay, so you might wonder why I came here, right ? Well given what happened a week ago, I thought my boss would be angry, but she seemed to be interested and told me to test you....Just to see whether you're worthy of her attention or not." Explained Hamagiri.

"....Uh that's cool and all, but why would I want to get your Boss' attention ?" Asked Joseph.

" Well.....Not go get attacked and nearly killed by some psychotic shark girl, basically." Answered Hamagiri with a little smirk, which got him a raised eyebrow from Joseph.

" So your Boss is quite powerful, huh ? And who is she ?"

" Can't tell you, and actually I can't tell you much abot anything. I can't even tell you why I said ' This' to you last time. You are too weak right now, If I told you this it would get you the attention of some dangerous people."

" Your Boss is a dangerous person, and yet I have her attention."

" Yes....But my Boss is the ' I'm watching you to make sure you're gonna spoil my plans' type of dangerous person. The others are more the ' I'm going to destroy everything you love, watch you suffer and take great pleasure in the moment' type of dangerous people." Admitted Hamagiri with a somewhat complicated expression, which told Joseph that the man had a bit of a past with said people.

" Very well then, what is that test ?"

" A week ago you came to the Suhara household. We wondered why you would do that and why Mako followed you, so we quickly did a bit of search and found out your link to Yukako Suhara and the man she now love to death, Hideo Kobuchi. We then deducted that Hideo had summoned you via a contract and that you granted his wish, said wish being ' I want Yukako to love me' given that Hideo had been seen in an airport a week ago, begging Yukako to give him a chance." Said Hamagiri, and with each words, Joseph's expression got uglier and uglier.

'Yeah they are most definitely incredibly powerful.' Thought Joseph.

" The thing is that Yukako was supposed to marry a certain Murasaki Oibara, heir to the Oibara clan. The Suhara always had some connection to the Yakuza and Koichi Suhara wanted to strenghen that connection by marrying his daughter to the heir of the most powerful clan. With what you've done, the Oibara clan is quite angry, but not at the Suhara. The Oibara are aware of this little contract thingy, their boss having summoned some members of our clan before. As such they know that this situation is extremely weird, and since Yukako is now infatuated with Hideo, they hold him responsible. So I think you already know what this test is, right ?" Asked Hamagiri, while Joseph looked at him with a 'Are you freaking serious' look.

" I guess I need to save Hideo. But I don't exactly have the power to do that, you know."

" I know, and my Boss know, that's why the test is hard. I can't help you on this matter, you're on your own. Good luck." Said Hamagiri before he immediately left the house.

' How the hell am I supposed to save that dumbass ? I mean I could a lot of things If I could somehow get a client from that clan but.....Oh wait ! System, technically I could force someone to become my client, right ? I mean I just need to find out what this person could wish for, and use it against them, right ?'

[ Indeed, but no. There exist numerous ways to summon wish-granting being. However the only way to make sure that a person would summon you and not someone would be to find a contract, add your name as the owner of this contract, and give it to said person. ]

' But where would I find a contract and what are they ?'

[ Those contracts are everywhere, anyone could have one ,and you could even find one on the streets. Only the desperate souls can see them, that is why you haven't find one yet. As to what they are, well they are simply a way to get random clients. They are created, sent across the world randomly and when used summon a random agent.]

'So those contracts are created by those clans....The Colour and the Beast clans. Well since anyone can have one and I am pretty desperate right now since Hideo could be killed at anytime, I should find one right ?'

[ Indeed, Host. But stealing it from someone would be more effective, host ]

' Then it's decided I'll use my flash steps to travel across the city, and find someone with a contract.' Thought Joseph, he then ran to his room and changed his outfit. Hideo had bought a ton of clothes for him. Some normal ones, and some that looked like cosplays. Joseph decided to go with a black sweater , black cargo pants with some white designs on it and white shoes. He then grinned and grabbed two things from the closet that looked like they shouldn't be there. It was a huge dark green feathered cloak with a hood and a black mask that covered the top of his face and only had two holes for the eyes.. He was now completely impossible to recognize, that and he also ressembled a character from a show he loved.

' Damn I really look like Utsuro, except for my mask.' Thought Joseph as he admired his look in the mirror. He then closed his eyes, took a deep breath and murmured.

" Flash Steps"

And then in a flash, the house was now empty and Joseph was already jumping from building to buildings.

' Damn that ability is so freaking cool.' Thought Joseph while grinning like a kid.

[ It could be better, this ability could evolve and allow you to do flash-steps in the air. Some abilities are better and allow you to fly or atleast have a better control in the air, but it's a good start.]

" Hahahah ! I knew I had chosen the right ability !" Yelled Joseph. He then procceeded to search the whole city for a contract, but found nothing. However as time passed, Joseph became more and more desperate and unknowingly became able to see the contracts. While jumping from buildings to buildings he had already passed a few contracts, some plastered on windows, some literally glued to people and some just laying on the ground.

However in his panic he didn't see any of them, and so he continued to search until finally....He saw a contract.

' Ugh, finally. I felt like I was gonna go crazy. Uh, wait the contract....Why is it in the hand of that high school girl ?!' Thought Joseph as he landed on a building and saw a girl with the contract in her hand, only a few meters away from him. She was holding it like it was a trophy. Joseph didn't have the time to wonder why she had it, he needed that contract.

Tapping his feet on the ground, Joseph got into a running position and shot like an arrow. He grabbed the contract from the girl's hands and jumped on the opposite building. All that had happened in a split second and the girl didn't even know what was happening.

" * Sigh* Now I just need to write my name on it and find who I am going to give it to. I fell like I should give it to the Boss of that clan. I could use my 'Telepathic' ability, if it can be called like that, to find out what the Boss could wish for. Then I just need to give the contract to him, and use my Devil's tongue to compel him to sign it....Oh yeah, it's going to be brilliant !" Said Joseph, chuckling as he held the contract. He didn't know how it worked but he was sure it was going to work. Though he didn't understand why this contract was called an ' High Tier' one.

Joseph was so caught up in his happiness that he didn't notice the high school girl looking around for the contract, tears pouring from her eyes.

" Where is it ?! I am sure I had it just now !" Yelled the girl, before she finally fell on the ground and let out all the tears she had. She then started to laugh as she got up.

" What did I even think....As if someone like me could possibly have so much luck. Maybe I just dreamed I had that contract....Yeah that must be it, a dumbass like me could've dreamt about a contract that could give me a better life." Said the girl, laughing and crying at the same time as she approached the edge of the building.

That's when Joseph finally noticed her, his eyes widening as he saw where she was and immediately understood what was happening.

" Wait kid, what are you doing ?! Get away from the edge ! No, no, no, NO !!!"

Just like that, as Joseph screamed and used his flash steps to try and catch her, the girl let herself fall to her death. He was about to catch her, his fingers could barely touch her, he could grab her and jump back on the building...And yet, just as he was about to grab her....

" Too late...."

He heard a voice right behind him, so he looked back, saw nothing, turned around to catch the girl and...

" Fuck !!!!"

Joseph had managed to grab a metal pipe just before he fell to the ground, but the girl had landed head first on the concrete.

" AHHHHHH !!!" Came the horrified scream of a man who had been smoking in the alley between the two buildings. The man quickly left to search for some help while Joseph could only look at the coprse of the girl.

He didn't know it, but the voice he had heard was real. At the edge of the building, looking at Joseph, stood a boy, no older than 8. The boy wore a black suit that perfectly suited him and had a little black fedora hat in his hands. He sighed and then sat at the edge of the building, his feet dandling in the air while he grabbed a smartphone from his pocket.

" Agent Fox reporting....The client is dead. An unknown stole her contract and she killed herself....No I am not coming back right now....I think I found something that could get Clan Leader's attention. I'm calling you if I find anything good on the unknown...What ? No, tell Agent Shark I will come to play with her later.....I don't care, handle her yourself * Hang Up*.....It's a good night to hunt, I think."
