I have been contemplating how I'm going to have my revenge on that snake, Kuzuki. After all, it's not like I could just go at him and simply murder him on the spot just like that.
If only that would be easy.
Anyways, life at the hospital was rather dull. The doctor told me that I'm not fully recovered yet, so I should at least stay for about a week or so before I can finally be discharged. This also meant that I was also subjected to the hospital's psychological therapy since all victims of amnesia are required to do so to ensure that their mental health and stability would return to a semblance of normalcy for them to integrate once more as proper members of our society.
Naturally, I was feeling quite fine, having experienced far more traumatizing events than a mere car accident. But for the sake of pretending to be a boy who was naturally traumatized, I simply obeyed their instructions. After all, I needed to keep the act of being a 15-year-old victim. Maintaining the façade of trauma was the most natural behavior in accordance with a young boy's emotional intelligence. Also, acting like my usual behavior as a veteran of war would only arouse some unnecessary attention and suspicion, so my options were rather limited.
Aside from my mother, some people would also visit my hospital room from time to time. Most of them were the boy's classmates from his school, wishing him luck and good health. During our interactions, I could say that Haruto garnered quite a friendly reputation among his peers, with our conversations being overall lighthearted as they share some witty banter and playful insults as expected of the youth. Thankfully, the pretense of amnesia allowed me the excuse of not remembering their names, and they show their sympathies for my unfortunate condition.
When I was finally discharged, my mother and I returned to our home in Chiba. For the duration of my stay, I started my research on where to look for Kuzuki. Color me surprised when I learn that the internet of this age was much more advanced than in the year that I once lived. I'm not ignorant of the ways of the computer, mind you, but it was a pleasant astonishment at how greatly accessible and faster the internet was nowadays.
Not to mention, this so-called social media was currently the norm, where global communication and news sharing were made even easier than it was ever before. With my advanced learning skills and quick adaptation, and some little help from my mother and sister, it did not take very long for me to grasp the conduct and know-how of internet usage.
As a result, I was able to make my research without any issues and successfully look up Kuzuki's name.
Asakura Kuzuki. Apparently, he retired from military service early and was appointed as one of the cabinet members of the state.
Basically, the bastard was now a government official. With his acquired connections, both from the government and the military, he would surely poison Japan and its people with that venomous fangs of his. That snake being a cabinet member… this complicates things even further.
Although contrary to my thinking of him, the bastard actually accomplished a lot of good things, even before and during his tenure as a cabinet member. The man was praised by the people, leading projects that proved to be extremely beneficial to the poor. As a matter of fact, during the Great Sendai Earthquake of 2011, it was Kuzuki's party that was the first one to provide aid and support to the victims and help in renovating the areas that were struck by the unfortunate disaster.
This earned him the moniker of "Champion of the People". Tsk, the bastard really swayed the people on his side with his pretentious actions. Exposing him would be extremely difficult since he has a good track record and shows no signs of corruption whatsoever. There were even rumors speculating that he was guaranteed to be the Prime Minister of Japan in the next election, allowing him more power over the state as a result. If such a thing was going to happen, then my hopes of revenge were going to be slimmer than it ever was.

I'm merely a high school student, so I'm not exactly sure how I could fare against a cabinet member with numerous connections at his disposal of all people.
As I continued my search, my eyes widen and the beating of my heart turned rapid upon the words… names that I now read, accompanied with pictures.
"Asakura Kuzuki… Wife: Asakuri Himeko with the elder and younger daughters respectively: Asakura Himegi and Asakura Kanata."
No… that fucking bastard!!!! He really fucking did it!!!
Even with my death, he continued to spite me, to spit on my very grave!!
Takamura Himeko, she was my wife, the only woman who I loved during my years of existence. She was like the majestic sunshine, bringing joy and happiness whenever she was around. Back during my high school days, it was love at first sight. How could I forget the day when I first saw and met her, at the bottom of a Sakura tree where she was tending to a cat's injured leg. Her smile was so breathtaking that simply looking at her would halt each and every of my body functions. She was like an angel who descended from the heavens just to bring light into the darkness of this forsaken world that we live in.
Courting her was an extremely challenging affair, with many suitors lined up who were either more handsome or richer than myself.
But I prevailed, thanks to my sincerity and genuine love for her. I was a gentleman, mind you, straightforward without any hint of maliciousness. I suppose she was enjoyably surprised by my act compared to the other men who used flowery words and deceitful ways to woo her. As a matter of fact, Kuzuki even supported me from the sidelines, saying that he wanted to be the best man during our marriage with that silly grin of his and the godfather of our children.
Even today, when I saw her picture on the computer, she still looked very beautiful as the day I lost her.
Such a fleeting moment indeed, that past that is. A time of happy memories and youthful endeavors as the three of us; Himeko, Kuzuki, and I were the best of friends and enjoyed whatever life threw at us.
And that all changed when Kuzuki ruined it all. He will pay dearly, one way or another!!!
But first things first, where am I going to start? What can a high schooler like myself accomplish on my road to revenge?
Luckily, the internet is a saving grace and with some further research, I knew where the Asakura family currently resides.
They are currently living in Tokyo, in a house located in one of the residential areas. The daughters also studied at the renowned Asabe International School (A.I.S.), an academy that boasts their prestigious elementary, middle school, and high school education. It was also an educational institution for the rich and elite, with top-notch state-of-the-art quality education and training that's known worldwide. While the rich mostly partake in their studies there, it is also possible for a full scholarship, granted only to the smartest of students who were qualified for scoring at least 91% in the school's admission exam. In short, even if you are poor, as long as you are filthy smart, then you can be a student there.
With a goal now in mind, I decided to try my luck at A.I.S. The first step to my revenge is to try to get close and befriend the daughters… then I can sneakily find my way to the father and exact my vengeance.
And one of them is technically mine. Oh, how I long to see how my child grew up personally into a fine young lady, as depicted in the picture. The other girl I can assume belongs to the snake. That damn bastard really did make a move on my wife with his perverted hands. Hopefully, the girl is nothing like her bastard old man.
I pride myself as a studious individual during my years at the military academy. Before my death, Kuzuki insulted me that the reason that I entered the academy was that I'm not exactly a bookworm. However, this does not mean that I can't change during my time as a military cadet. Throughout my cadet years, I work myself to the bone in my studies, so I can prove to everyone that I'm not just someone who knows how to do push-ups and sit-ups. That, and I also wanted Himeko to have a boyfriend of who she can be proud. At the end of my time in military school, I was the regimental commander of the core of cadets and was also awarded class valedictorian, garnering the highest of honors.
With no time to lose, I took out a math book from my bag and began my studies. It's always better to start something today and leaving it for tomorrow is something that would only invite laziness and unproductivity on my part.
It's about time that I meet my family once more and see how they fare well during the time of my absence.
