Clare watched the night sky from her tower. Her long purple hair tied up neatly and braided. "Now then there's my daughter are you ready to inherit your father's role for the throne," her mother asked by the side of her bed. "Mother but I have no wish to inherit father's throne much less harm humans. Haven't we wage this war for already 12 centuries, it's time we made peace with them now. "Look here Clare either we do as they demand or we have ourselves wiped out trying. This is also how they feel." She felt those words sting in her heart since she had read many stories from the library as well as their history with the humans.
"But mother we live here in these lands, can't we just negotiate with the humans country to leave us be. I mean they created guilds, they adventure, while we build our castle rebuild villages that the destroyed. Can't we make peace with them," Clare asked. Her eyes begging her mother to try to reason with her. "Dear I know you don't wish for this either your an 13 year old. You'll turn 14 tomorrow as well as your coronation. We've been at war for too long even if we pull a treaty now it won't lead to peace. Many have already lost their lives because of this long war with the humans."
'I don't want the throne nor this responsibility then, why can't you and dad understand that,' Clare thought to herself as she sulked. "Look once you turn 14 you'll be a full vampire adult since your fangs will grow in. Then you'll have to drink blood afterwards, isn't that exciting." She looked at her mother in awe as her mother's long purple hair shine in the moon light as she gracefully walked out the door. "I never wished for the coronation to happen, I want to be as free as a bird. Never caged like this. In all my 13 years of my life, I have not even once stepped outside to the town. Caged like a bird inside this castle. My only wish is to go out adventuring and getting along with the humans."
Her eyes went straight to her body as she stared at her silver silk dress which her mother forced on her. Tears were in her eyes as she wanted so much to rebel against her father and leave the castle. Yet she could not bring herself to do so since she has not once stepped outside. Everyday to her was the same scenery, the grey gloomy castle walls, her red curtain as if dyed with blood. Her empty room besides her books and her bed. There were no furniture in her room. Clare picked up a book from the floor with a sigh. She was too tired faking her smiles and expressions.
During balls, she had to fake her attitude and personality to the point she stopped caring or trying to befriend others. What would her mother say if she told her she doesn't even know herself anymore. Was she really trying. If she did then she wouldn't feel so empty. She sat on her bed facing her balcony window. "Hopefully something exciting happens tomorrow." Clare was tired of doing this princess act. Etiquette, grace, respect, honor, and the throne no of this is what she wants. She's glad the only friend that kept her going was the books in the library. (which she read all of it) "Remember discipline and etiquette is what father says."
Her voice tired, her eyes were dead as if it lost all hope of escaping. "Does he even care about what I even say anymore," she asks herself. Trying to assure herself that he still had at least his fatherly love to her. But she knew better, her mother was the only one that would check on her occasionally while her father kept a distance. Clare's eyebrow furrowed as she noticed 5 figures in middle of the night sneaking past her room. She lowered her gaze to the hallways below and across from her room. "It'll be interesting since they smell like humans that used to visit in the past demanding for us to surrender these lands to them."

Humans, that''s a first it might be bloody for a coronation but it'll be a change for once. She yawns as she goes to sleep.
Clare woke early in the morning before the morning sunrise. Her favorite thing to do was watching the 4 suns rise up. But since it was her coronation she had to get dressed for the big event. Her pale hands went to her long purple hair as she braided it neatly. There was no point for her to bother her maid this early in the morning. Her left bang was left alone to cover her eye. The right side of her hair was braided to the side. "Seems my daughter is a early bird," her mother said at the door. Clare's eyes widen in surprise, when she looked towards the voice. Instead of her being there it was a girl in her 15, with dark green hair and yellow eyes. Before Clare had a chance to scream the other girl had already stabbed her hand through Clare's chest at where her heart was.
Her light purple blood shined as the sun rose and she tried grasping for air as she held her attacker's arm. "Why," Clare managed to ask just before she blacked out completely. The green hair girl tried to pulled her arm back thinking Clare was dead. "Hmmm, you know for a human, it's a pity you attacked me when I haven't awaken yet. As a thank you for undoing the seal her pitiful father put on us I'll let you have a painless and quick death is what I wanna say. But it's a no since you aimed at my heart."
The human's blood splattered as Clare's tail stabbed her in the stomach. "Was that a little much for you. Wait Humans really should know better than to mess with royalty." Her head turned as she heard screams throughout the castle. "I see it's a invasion when we least expect it too," Clare said emotionless. "Your a monster," the human girl decided. "Am I really I mean you speak of us as monsters but what of you humans whom invade our land when we are sleeping." After saying so her real mother came in surprised her daughter is in her devil form. Her goat like horns and her tail was like that of the dragons. Her tail was inherited from her father. "Daughter put down the human child right this instant," her mother yelled. "And for once I actually feel this surge of emotions as I choke her but your telling to put the girl down."
'I'm confused they're both with the demons so why are they arguing over who kills me,' the green haired girl thought to herself. "This isn't you Clare, your sincere, kind to others. You don't kill people."Clare blinked at her mother as she stared at her purple hair. Her mother carried an air of grace and nobility wherever she went. "But instead of answering that I'm glad to be unsealed to and on our birthday. You can say I'm the original that your husband feared so much that he sealed me deep with the 'kind Clare.' So how I act is none of your concern mother," Clare answered honestly. 'I woke a monster didn't I,' the human girl thought.
"Your wrong my husband wouldn't do that to his own-," her mother stated. Her words were cut off when Clare glared at her. "Really and you never question why your husband wasn't close to me all these years."
Clare's hands turned to claws and she looked at her mother amused. "Mother don't I also look like a half dragon. Which they disgracefully call Half," she asked. 'My daughter is insulting herself by comparing herself to a Half,' her mother thought.
