Raven was enjoying a rather peaceful night's sleep when suddenly he heard something knocking over his window.

The noise made him open his eyes and he nervously sat down to look towards his window... It was hard to describe the sounds coming out of his window. 

It sounded like something squishy was knocking over his window.

"...Should I call the cops?" Raven wondered.

He lives alone in his house... It had been a long time since he started living separately from his parents.

'What if it's not a thief...' 

Raven contemplated his decision to call the cops.

'Come to think of it... There have been mysterious homicide cases in this area, they showed it on news today.'

'I would rather get scolded by the officer than face an ambush.' 

Raven made a decision and quickly went to get the phone.

-Ring Ring !!

"I think someone's trying to break into my house through the window." 

"Yes."

Raven told the operator on the other side his ID number and his address and soon he received a reply.

Raven calmed down and looked towards the window... 

'Strange Object? What could it be?' Raven wondered.

Opening his phone he started to search on the Internet for what the object could be.

Time passed and Raven was waiting for the police to come... Soon he heard someone ringing the doorbell.

'It must be the cops... Wait, the knocking on the window stopped. Did they remove the thing? Can I open it now?' 

Raven felt the urge to open his window but stopped.

'Let's open the door first.' 

Raven got out of his room and walked towards the door and looked out of the peephole. He was being as cautious as possible because of the recent murder incidents in the neighbourhood.

There was a man in a police uniform holding an ID in his hand.

With a clicking sound, the door opened and the cop entered the house. 

"Um... Thanks for the coming officer, remove that thing from my window." Raven requested, however, he didn't receive a reply from the man standing in front of him.

The Police officer entered his house without permission and directly walked to his room in hurry. He opened the window and suddenly something Jumped into Raven's room.

Raven arrived a second late before that thing entered his room. It was making a weird sound, Raven stood on the doorstep of his room and only watched from the distance. 

The police officer took out some weird type of spray gun and fired it over the thing.

Kreeeeee !!

Raven heard a sharp scream and covered his ears.

'Was it alive? What is It?' 

Raven kept these questions to himself, he didn't want to know what it was when he saw the officer collecting that thing in a plastic bag. 

Once he was done collecting it he turned to look at Raven and nodded his head. Raven nodded back... 

Raven was glad that he didn't have to clean up any mess and happily closed the door when the policeman left. 

He sighed in relief but when he entered his room he tensed because the window was completely open. He quickly moved to close the window but before the window could be completely shut something tried to enter his room.

Spurt—!

"Uwah!" Raven screamed and tried to kill that thing by pressing the window over its head. In the process, a black liquid was squeezed out of the thing and it constantly twitched. Suddenly something like a tentacle came out of that thing and pierced his hand.

"Eeek!" It felt like someone stabbed a thick needle.

But soon the tentacle lost strength and the weird thing also lost its life.

Raven instinctively pushed it out of the window and then closed the window tightly. 

There was blood coming out of his hand and it was swollen where the thing had bitten him.

'I can't go to the hospital at this time...' Raven thought and went to search for the first aid. 

In the bathroom, he washed his hands, quickly disinfected the wound and bandaged it properly.

"It will be morning soon... I will go to the doctor. This looks weird." 

Raven felt his heart beating fast due to feeling anxious. He dragged himself onto his bed and lay there to calm himself. For a moment he thought of calling the police but decided he would directly go to see a doctor when the sun rises.

At this point, Raven wasn't aware of how his life would change... And how he will come to know about the secrets of this world and some hidden truths about himself.
