Synopsis

Genre: parody, satire What to Expect:  - genre-savvy everyman MC who can't catch a break  - short skit-based chapters  - bants bants bants bants bants  - 18+ ribald humor centered around anime tropes and general pop culture  - a monkey paw harem from hell  - zero progression, zero magic systems, zero consistent world-building, zero romance  - Cerebus Syndrome 400 chapters in when I lose my mind, kill half the cast in a gritty, gut-wrenching post-apocalyptic war arc, and then wipe out the remainder in a bafflingly nihilistic Gainax Ending  - A sequel ten years later where I bring everyone back, create an equally bafflingly but mercifully less depressing ending, and cash in on that sweet, sweet waifu figma doll money It's another day in the old gooncave and perpetual slacker Aubrey Graham is surfing Twitter for Hatsune Miku lewds, until a bay door malfunction in a passing cargo plane drops a semi-truck on his apartment.  Now he’s in another world, courtesy of the obligatory Goddess, armed with The Sword That Can One Shot Anything. Our hero knows exactly how this story goes, and he's ready to live his most depraved fantasies to the fullest. Until he's hauled off by the police for killing his first goblin, that is.  Now trapped behind bars awaiting his sentence, Aubrey must contend with a world where the law treats Destined Heroes like a cockroach infestation, because they are (all thanks to that same Goddess, who keeps sending them in swarms). He'll have to cling to the thin, fraying threads of his sanity while dealing with a pint-sized executioner, a horny spider, and an overly chatty sword suffering from schizophrenic bouts of bloodlust and melancholy, all while figuring out if this is a fantasy world worth saving—or if it's just a new circle of hell.
