The legend of the Mie-Mie man

The legend of the Mie-Mie man

Before they could finish talking, a huge boulder crashed into the adventurers' camp, wiping out half of them. Some stood frozen in terror, doubting their chances of survival, while others desperately tried to heal the fallen soldiers. But a dark energy surrounded the bodies, negating any form of healing. Chaos erupted. Adventurers tried to flee, but they were quickly surrounded and torn apart.

The rest, except for Altleno and the team leaders, fought desperately to carve a path to escape. Fireballs, flaming arrows, swords of flame, water bullets, shields, and earth projectiles flew wildly as the adventurers struggled to survive.

The battlefield became a frenzy of fire, blood, and terror—until, the sky turned pitch black and from the distance, a lone adventurer screamed, his voice cracking with sheer dread:

“Oh no… It’s the Mie-Mie Man!”

Time seemed to freeze. The chaos ground to a halt. Demons, adventurers, mages, wolves—every living being—stared in horror, their eyes wide with terror. Then, as if driven by primal instinct, everyone dropped their weapons and ran for their lives.

Demons roared as they fled, abandoning the fight altogether. Adventurers tripped over one another, scrambling toward the safety of the forest. Even the monstrous abomination that had risen from the ground hesitated, groaning with a shudder before sinking back into the abyss, as though it, too, wanted no part of what was coming.

And there, amidst the empty battlefield, stood Altleno, baffled by the sudden retreat. The name echoed in his mind, and instead of fear, his lips curled into a mocking laugh.

“The Mie-Mie Man? What kind of name is that?!” he chuckled, shaking his head. “What could be so terrifying about—”

A thunderous boom erupted behind him. The ground cracked beneath the force of a massive footfall. Slowly, Altleno turned, his grin fading as his gaze traveled upward… and upward…

There he was—the Mie-Mie Man.

A towering, hulking figure stood silhouetted against the moonlight. His tattered cloak flapped ominously in the wind, his bulging muscles gleamed with an unearthly aura, and his expression… his expression was that of a man very, very angry. His eyes blazed with such intensity it felt as though they could pierce steel.

“You think my name is funny?” the Mie-Mie Man growled, his voice shaking the earth.

Altleno’s bravado evaporated. “Wait, wait—let’s talk about this—”

But it was too late. The Mie-Mie Man’s fist moved faster than Altleno could process—a blur of sheer force that struck him square in the chest with the sound of thunder.

BOOM!

Altleno was sent flying into the sky, disappearing into the clouds like a shooting star. His distant scream echoed faintly as the remaining adventurers and demons peeked from their hiding places, trembling in awe.

A hushed silence fell over the battlefield as the Mie-Mie Man cracked his knuckles, his glare sweeping across the cowering masses. A demon, shaking in terror, whispered, “Not him… please, not him…” before fainting on the spot.

In the Demon King’s throne room, far across the continent, alarms blared. The Demon King bolted upright, sweat dripping from his brow as he clutched his scepter.

“The Mie-Mie Man… He’s here?” the Demon King stammered. Without hesitation, he turned to his minions and bellowed, “Sound the retreat! Lock the gates! I’m out of here!”

The Demon King vanished in a puff of smoke, leaving his entire army behind.

Meanwhile, far beyond the battlefield, Altleno crashed into a distant forest, embedding deep into the earth. Groaning and coughing, he sat up, clutching his bruised ribs.

“What… what is that man?!” he gasped, his voice hoarse. He looked up to see a squirrel perched on a branch above him, chittering in terror. The small creature whispered, in an impossibly low voice:

“The Mie-Mie Man… is a very, very, very scary man.”

Altleno slumped back against the crater wall, nodding grimly. “I get it now… I get it…”

Back at the battlefield, the Mie-Mie Man stood alone, staring into the distance as the wind howled around him. The adventurers, demons, and even nature itself trembled in his presence. The Mie-Mie Man was not just a man—he was a force of nature, a legend whispered about in fear across realms:

He was the Mie-Mie Man.

A very, very, very scary man.

And no one—not demon nor hero—was foolish enough to challenge him.

The battlefield lay in ruins, yet a haunting silence gripped the land. No one dared move. No one dared breathe. The Mie-Mie Man stood at the center of it all, his very presence a threat more terrifying than any demon or army. His massive form loomed over the shattered remains of camps and fortifications. Though he stood still, it was as though the earth itself trembled.

Bow, usually calm and fearless, glanced at Altleno with a mixture of pity and urgency. She took a slow step back, her voice soft and resigned.

“Good luck, Altleno.”

Altleno blinked, confused. “What? You’re leaving me here?!”

Bow shook her head, her face pale. “You don’t understand… I can’t help you here. That’s him—the Mie-Mie Man.”

Altleno frowned, his frustration bubbling. “Who is this Mie-Mie Man everyone’s so afraid of? He’s just one guy!”

Bow’s expression turned somber, her voice dropping to a whisper. “You don’t get it. This man once approached one of the strongest warlords in the Eastern Realms—and slapped her into oblivion. She begged for mercy, Altleno. Begged.”

Altleno froze. “Into oblivion?”

Bow nodded grimly. “Oblivion. She was crying. Pleading. And he didn’t care.”

In the ancient corners of the world, where even gods dared not tread, the name of the Mie-Mie Man echoed like a forbidden prayer. He was said to be a man who lived happily, but when angered…

Nothing and no one was safe.

Even the Ruler of the Cosmos—the Supreme Being who forged stars and worlds—feared him. On a fateful day, the Ruler confronted him… only to retreat immediately when the Mie-Mie Man cracked his knuckles and smiled.

Back on the battlefield, Altleno raised his hands cautiously, trying to appear peaceful. “Listen, sir. I don’t know why you’re here, but we don’t have to fight—”

The Mie-Mie Man turned his head ever so slightly. The motion alone sent a chill through Altleno’s spine. His dark, blazing eyes locked onto him.

Suddenly, the Mie-Mie Man smiled. It wasn’t comforting. It wasn’t kind.

It was the smile of a man who was very, very angry.

“You call yourselves warriors?” he muttered, his voice low and dangerous. “Pathetic. All of you.”

Altleno backpedaled, panic flaring in his mind. “No, wait, I—”

Too late. The Mie-Mie Man’s fist shot forward like lightning, slamming into Altleno’s chest. The impact sent shockwaves across the battlefield, toppling trees and flattening tents. Altleno soared into the horizon, his scream trailing behind him.

Far across the continent, Altleno landed face-first in the middle of a river. Spluttering, he dragged himself to the shore and groaned, staring up at the sky where even the clouds seemed unsettled.

“Okay,” he wheezed. “Maybe… just maybe… everyone was right about him.”

As the river carried his sword away, Altleno flopped onto his back and sighed. The world would

have to wait for him to recover, because fighting the Mie-Mie Man was not an option.

The legend lived on.
