Mark dodged the target's attack, but she was faster than him by a great length, latching her fingers into his arm with great force and at an incredibly shocking speed. With her fingers in his flesh, she pulled him towards herself, breaking his stance and forcing him to stagger forth in a stunned state, his left arm paralysed from the numerous wounds inflicted on it.
Before the target could sink her teeth into his flesh, Mark spun around at the last second, tearing his arm away from her grasp and utilising the velocity of his sudden movement to bash the side of her face with his elbow. Pain attacked his mind as the shredded wounds burned, but he persevered.
“Why are you trying so hard to kill me…” Mark was reaching his limit, the pain had consumed every part of his body, and he was ready to collapse — yet, he wondered why the target had not given up for some reason by now. This is all just some big mistake said the fly to the spider.
The sanguinexus paused. He had broken her neck with that attack and was taking its sweet time to heal. Although the process took a few seconds, it was very strange to the target whose expression had changed. Seeing this, Mark’s eyes burned with a new flame.
"You give me so much trouble. Other humans would have died by now, yet you are still talking…" The target — for the second time — dropped her grin and sighed. She licked blood off her fingers, and then entered a new fighting stance, her back hunched over and a leg circling back, “It’s a pain.”
The grin returned, and before Mark could say anything, the target disappeared from his sight and Mark entered full alert mode! No way he was going to make the stupid blunders he had made last time! As Mark stood observant, he felt a force knock into his waist, and his eyes widened. Before he could stabilise his thoughts, a boom sounded, and Mark was blown across the area into a mountain.
His face smashed head-first into it, creating a deep crater. Mark felt his ears ringing as he pulled himself out of the mountain, his nose burning as he bled profusely. He felt as if his face was going to come apart, but he forced his thoughts to persist, not wanting to lose his senses at a time like this.

“No matter how hard you struggle, you cannot defeat me! When it comes to sheer power, I am not just a few steps ahead but beyond you in every possible way.” The target drew her feet back, drawing a line across the ground, and then she dashed forward again, “Just drop down and die!”
The earth beneath her shattered to dust, and in a fierce explosion of sound and air, all the dust scattered behind her, and she vanished into thin air — appearing right beside Mark a second later, slamming his face right back into the mountain, causing it to crack even further. She drew his face out, and then she repeated, every movement she made cold and heartless.

"Damn you!" Mark exploded with rage, spinning around to elbow her in the side of her torso, causing her to cave in and freeze from the shock. Before she could recover, he wrestled his head away from her grasp, shredding his skin again. As the pain burned, he turned around, headbutting the sanguinexus then spinning to deliver his knee to the side of her waist, shattering her defence.
The target was blasted into the air for seconds before tumbling down to a frozen halt amid rubble and dirt. She was in her stunned state for a few more seconds, which was due to her sudden fatigue from all the hits she tanked head-on. After some time, the target staggered to her feet —- this time, a watchful Mark noticed her fatigue, and he prepared to exploit it.

"Haha. I am laughing, but we know that neither of us finds this funny at all." As soon as she was done speaking, she dashed forward again. This time, at a speed doubling that which she had been showing in the past encounters, her eyes still distant and cold, a cruel light in her eyes as she gazed upon the motionless Mark.
Bang!
Mark coughed up blood the second the target's attack landed — it was a direct hit to his torso, a hit that was powerful enough to rock his insides. His head was also 'moved' by her attack; forced into a wild spin, but all he could think of right now was she had closed the gap! Slamming his fist in her fast he staggered back and she chased, throwing her fist into his face.
Boom!
He turned leapt forth and kneed her in the stomach, preparing to follow up with a faster attack, but Before he could do that, the target swung her leg and delivered a rising kick to Mark's jaw. The force from the attack swept him off his feet, and this left him vulnerable to her next attack. She grabbed him by the leg and then hurled him at the nearest mountain.
As he was sent flying, the target chased, grabbing the lower half of his face midair and making sure that the back of his head was buried in the mountain. He lay still for a while, and she heaved while understanding his body. She knew he was not dead, but was not too trusting of these mortal bodies and all its variations’ durability.

"Damn it…" The target heaved, collapsing to her knees as she began to pant heavily. After a while of heavy panting, she grew limp and then collapsed to the ground, fainting into a deep sleep. After a great while, the harmonious rising and falling of her chest grew very noticeable, unlike earlier.

Mark’s eyes cracked open and he lay in silence, his burning wounds plagued his mind. After he’d rested for a few seconds, he began to compose his thoughts, his breaths ragged. She had wiped out nearly all of his energy — wrecked a few of his internal organs and left him in a bad shape.
For returning the favour — Mark lowered his gaze to the fainted sanguinexus — he was happy and satisfied with himself, “I’ll have to get medical care as quickly as possible, or I would not be any better off than this woman. Now, that she is defenceless, I’ll have to put an end to this threat.”
After he walked to retrieve his rusty sword and then back to the woman, Mark stood in silence, staring down on her as she lay in a deep sleep. S he looked incredibly pitiful, yet his heart burned with rage. He lifted the blade to the sky, a cold gleam in his eyes as Mark cleaved down in a vicious arc.
