The desert of Meryn – a massive, rocky expanse, where Eversprings are the difference between life and death. Here the ruins of ancient battleships litter the landscape which are harvested by the inhabitants for metal and artifacts that sustain life. Most of society lives on the perimeter of this desert, with the center controlled by the Sentinels– metal monstrosities hellbent on continuing the war that ended centuries ago. This is my first story, so suggestions are appreciated. Please let me know how I can improve the reading experience. The story features a weak-to-strong protagonist.
