Have you ever napped during the day only to open your eyes to utter darkness? You're confused and bleary eyed to a worrying degree. You don't know who you are, where you are, or if anything is even real. Only for recognition to creep back into place and for that primal fear of the dark that lerks at the back of your mind to seems so small and insignificant and childish after the fact. Yet, something was there that you only now noticed. A facet glossed over. A detail missed. How could you miss the whispering? The muttering and clawing? The footsteps and tortured pleas and fetid breath and cold fingers and grasping hands and AND .....it's not as if it's real. As if it's true.   What if it is? New author making their first work so critiques are welcome and such. No set schedule for chapters I'm just writing if I get the inspiration or can't sleep.
