(Our protagonist woke up from his deep slumber)
RONAN POV
I woke up from my sleep. I am fully healed from my yesterday battle. Not even a single scar aside from the tattoo and the damaged jacket. But I wonder who that creature was. Where was it from? Was it from another planet or another universe? How powerful were these creatures? Are they an advanced civilization? How much control do they have in this universe? Questions like this began to ponder from my mind. What was that orb? What secrets did that orb held? Curiosity about the orb was filling up inside me. Thankfully I didn’t throw the orb. I had brought it with me. It was kept in my closet. I look at the wall clock. It is 5:30 am in the morning. Dang I woke up fast. I still have one and half hour to go to school. So, why not do some workout. I wear my tracksuit. It took about a minute to do that.
I begin to jog. My jog was pretty fast even for runner’s standards. I run an average of 11 mph while jogging and I ran at an average speed of 23 mph while sprinting. Damn, I can give sprinters a run for their money. I decide to go to a park not far away from my home. It is just half a kilometer away from my home. But first I decided to run around my local area for a little 10 minutes. Then I decided to fully sprint to the park. Fully sprinting, I reach the park after about 2 and a half minutes. I then search for a space where I could work out a little. I look at my watch. It was 5:47 am. I search for a space to work out. I do some basic exercises like pushups, squats, crunches, each 250 repetitions. Suddenly, a thought came into my mind. How much power did this orb give me? I destroyed a good portion of the forest while fighting that creature. So, I must be pretty damn powerful. Hell yeah. I could even have the chance to rule the world. It was one of the things which I wanted to do my entire life. I begin to laugh like a maniac. Then I crouched a little and begin to focus on drawing out power. I yell and apply power to my gut but to no avail. No trace of energy. I again try to bring out the power out of me but all it did was give me urge to go to the restroom and shit. I hurriedly run to my home and immediately go to the washroom to relieve myself.
After a good amount of relieving, I check my watch. It was 6:40 am. I begin to get dressed to go to school. This time I didn’t wear a fancy jacket. I wore a simple jacket with a hood and began marching towards my school. I reach my school at 6:50 am. I went to my class and sat in my bench. I begin thinking about the orb. What was it made out of? How much will it amount to? And is Annie okay? Ok, the last one was unfunny but anyways it is time for the class. A teacher entered and I recognized it is the physics teacher. Goodness gracious. Thank gods for the physics class at first. It was one of the classes that is interesting to me.
Our physics course is pretty much finished. So, I wondered what our physics teacher had to give us today. Surprisingly, our physics teacher decides to give us some extra physics knowledge. The topic is “Motion of particles in a gravitational field”. He began to do some derivations. It is a topic from the physics for undergraduate students. That meant it would be pretty useful for me in the future. The teacher began detailed explanation.
I felt the topic as pretty interesting. I checked my clock. The class was almost over. There were 8 classes left.
(Time skip 3:45 pm)
Woah! Today the teachers didn’t even remember the homework. I was saved today. Today was good luck for me. I wonder what the horoscope predicted. Anyways, I began walking home.
THIRD PERSON POV
Ronan was walking towards his home. But someone was following him. An unknown person was trailing Ronan from a distance. Suddenly Ronan says, “Who’s there? Show yourself?” The stranger was revealed to be a man. He had auburn hair and a muscular physique. From the looks, he was above 180 cm.
The stranger said, “Ronan Griggs, the forest was destroyed by you yesterday. Isn’t that right?”
RONAN POV
What the hell? How does this unknown man know my name? Am I that popular? I don’t think so.
I ask, “Who are you and what do you want from me?”
The man says, “Nothing special. I want your powers to be mine. That’s all.”
“Umm... Can I forfeit the challenge? You can take my powers right now if you like.” I ask.
The unknown man says nothing. The only thing visible was a poker expression in this face.
I ask with a sweat drop in my face, “I really don’t have a choice, do I?
He says with a bored expression, “No.”
I ask him, “Where?”
He says, “The barren valley, five miles northeast.”
He then simply disappears in thin air.
I stare blankly at nothing. I really don’t have a choice do I? If I don’t go to fight, he might hunt me down anyways. Besides, this will be a test of my strength anyways.

I arrived at my home. My mom has surprisingly arrived early this time. I asked my mom if I could go outside. She grants me permission but says to come back before 10 pm. Wow, my mom giving me permission. Something terrific phenomenon will occur today.
I go to my room and have a change of clothes. I change into my sportswear. I took some money out of my closet and put it in my pocket. I then begin to walk the northeast direction. After 5 minutes of walking, I suddenly see a taxi approaching me. I had enough money to take a taxi. So, I motioned my hand to the taxi and taxi stops in front of me. I then enter taxi and tell the driver to drive at the required location.
(Time skip 5:00 pm)
The taxi brings me to the said location. The driver charges me 10$. I pay the amount to the driver and the taxi drives off. I then proceed to approach the location.

It was already starting to get dark as winter was approaching soon. It was the month of November. I find the stranger sitting above a rock. He then approaches me.
Out of nowhere, I oddly say, “Oh! You’re approaching me?”
He says, “Yes, I can’t fight you without getting closer.”
I say, “Ok then.”
He suddenly begins to run towards me. I prepare myself and take the stance.
THIRD PERSON POV
As the stranger was running towards Ronan, he suddenly disappears in thin air. Within a millisecond, Ronan is seen getting a punch in his face. The stranger’s hand is covered with reddish orange energy. Ronan is flown a great distance by the punch. Ronan gets up groggily.
RONAN POV
“What the hell was that? The intensity of the punch is too great.” I thought. I manage to stand. How can I even face this absolute monster?
I then yell, “I am going to use my secret technique now.”
The stranger says, “Try your best shot.”
I then turn around and yell, “Run for your life” and start running. There no way I can face this monster. This guy is just too damn powerful.
THIRD PERSON POV
Ronan begins running for his life as he thinks he cannot fight this monster head on. The man begins chasing him.
The man yells, “Useless, Useless, Useless, Useless, Useless, Useless, Useless.” The man then proceeds to fire an energy blast at him.
RONAN POV
Oh no, I am going to get hit by the blast. Suddenly within split of a second, my senses tingled. I begin to see the energy blast’s trajectory. Then in another split second, I manage to dodge the energy blast. The energy blast explodes a giant rock behind me.
The man again begins dashing towards me. When the punch was almost about to connect to me, I suddenly felt a burst of energy inside me. Within split second, I manage to avoid the punch and thrust a direct punch in his abdomen. The man proceeds to fly away a distance from me.
I feel blue energy surrounding me. Seems like this power was only accessible in desperate situation through instincts, at least for now.
THIRD PERSON POV
Ronan was prepared to fight for real now. He began to take off his jacket and shirt. He was now shirtless and fully prepared to fight. With the powers he has accessed, he begins to anticipate attack.
But out of nowhere, the stranger says to Ronan, “Nice physique you got there. Must be a result of heavy workout.”
RONAN POV
What? What did this man say? Out of all things, he complements my body? I am beginning to doubt this man now. I am starting to feel this man has some nasty intentions. I mean I am handsome and all. Six foot tall, muscular man with a handsome face. But still, why in the middle of the battle?
I still manage to say, “Thanks, I guess. You look tasty too.”
THIRD PERSON POV
The man was also covered with Reddish Orange energy. The man then approaches Ronan. The fight begins.
The man punches Ronan in the face. But Ronan managed to give a punch of his own. The man then tries to hook kick him. Ronan crouches and tries to give an uppercut with his right fist. But the man dodges the uppercut with a backflip.
The man again approaches Ronan. This time the man launches hook punch against Ronan. In a split second, the hook punch connects in Ronan’s rib and Ronan is thrown in midair. The man then proceeds to punch Ronan in the face and quickly launch a roundhouse kick. The man then proceeds to quickly dash then crouch and launch a jumping uppercut on Ronan.
Ronan is flown into midair. When he’s about to land on the ground, he manages to recover quickly with a back handspring.
Ronan then proceeds to approach the enemy. Using the energy flowing in his body, he launches his enemy in the air with a high side kick. He then proceeds to give a hook kick and after hook kick, while the enemy is still in midair, Ronan manages to jump and quickly give a flying side kick with his left foot. After the side kick connects, he quickly manages to spin to the right in the middle of the air within a split second and give a second side kick. He then uses his left foot to give the enemy a crescent kick. The enemy begins to fall in the ground. But before that, Ronan lands into the ground and quickly gives a powerful front kick. The enemy is flown into a distance but quickly recovers midair and prepares an energy blast. Ronan also prepares a blue colored energy blast and they both fire it simultaneously. The energy blasts collide and cancel each other out.

The man yells, “I am going to end this with my special move.” The man is then fully covered with reddish energy layer.
Ronan is also covered with bluish energy layer. The man charges his right fist with huge energy. Ronan prepares his left foot and charges towards the man. Both approach each other with their attacks.
The man yells, “Supreme destruction.”
Ronan yells, “Lightning driller.”
The man’s fist and Ronan’s foot connect.

After their attacks connect, both of them are blown away from each other due to their attack power. Ronan lands into the ground creating a crater.

RONAN POV
Man, the attack was powerful. As I begin to approach the man, the man says, “This battle is concluded.”
I am like “What?”
“Yes, the battle is over” The man says
“But why? One of us hasn’t been defeated.” I say
“I just merely wanted to measure your power” He says
“But why would you want to test my power.” I ask
“Because I need your help.” He says
“And what will I gain by helping you.” I ask
“I will teach you to access your powers. Also, a free pizza after every training session.” He says
A nice offer actually. A man wants my help with my powers. This would be interesting.
“When will I start to train with you?” I ask
“About a week from now.” He answers
Ok, I am ready for training.
“What’s your name by the way?” I ask
“It’s Grynn Iversen” He replies
“Three questions.” I say
He says, “Shoot.”
I ask, “How do you know my name?”
He proceeds to throw me something and says, “You dropped this.”
I take a look at it. It was my school ID card. I should be more careful with my belongings.
I say, “Second question, How did you know about the destruction of the forest?”
He says, “I was around there witnessing it.”
I finally proceed with the final question, “Are you gay or something?”
He manages to give me a poker face and simply replies, “Says you.”
I looked at my watch. Dang it’s already 8: 30 pm. I need to get home fast. As I looked at that man’s direction, the man seems to have already disappeared.
THIRD PERSON POV
Ronan then proceeds to walk home.
