‘THAT BASTARD’
‘Calm down you idiot, what if someone heard you?’
‘And what are they going to do about it!? Everyone who was present here thinks the same.’
At northern gate a group of maybe a dozen of soldiers are moving dead bodies off the wall. One young soldier is having mental breakdown at the moment while the one next to him is lifting up a corpse.
‘Okay enough, will you help me or not?’
‘What is point of this anyway? As long as that monster is inside these walls there will be more corpses to clean.’
‘Aren’t you ashamed of leaving your comrades like this, sob, lets at least, sob, say our goodbyes to them.’
‘THAT DAMN MOTHERFUCKING BASTARD, he even bend an knee to that monster. He doesn’t deserve a title of Commander!!’
‘I agree with you Sali, Menir let me help you carry him.’
As a soldier keeps on cursing, behind him like nothing happened appears Commander Vinces while helping the other in lifting up a body.
‘Y... Y... You...’
‘Later, lets first say our goodbyes.’
Sais Vinces with a gentle expression while other soldier next to him is trying to hold back tears.
‘As I remember you two where really close, right Menir?’
‘Y... Yes... c... commander, he was, sob, like a brother to, sob, me.’
‘Sadly it seams like we all might join him before the dawn.’
‘HEY YOU SPINELESS OLD FUCK, WHO SAID YOU CAN GO’
Sali gets in front of them and yells.
‘How can someone cowardly as you be a commander, you even bow your head to safe it. DON’T YOU HAVE SOME PRIDE’
‘Of course I don’t.’
‘Huh??’
‘Pride is for knights, while we are only ordinary soldiers who get paid enough to feed their own family. What is value of pride if my daughter today woke up and saw her father’s corpse.’
Young Sali was lost for words as he was still angry and wanted to yell at Vinces, but he couldn’t refute what he said.
‘Then lets clean up while we still can...’
Step...
‘What...’
Step... Step... Step...
Heavy footsteps could be heard coming from the direction of the forest.
Step... Step... Step... Step... Step...
‘What the hell are those?!’ sais Sali while few rays of light shine upon the new guests.
‘EVERYONE GET AWAY FROM THE WALLS AND DON’T ENGAGE THEM AT ANY COST’
Yells Vinces while dropping the corpse and grabbing onto two soldier before jumping off the wall.’
Thud... Thud...
‘Ouch, that hurts!’
‘Stop the dramatics, get up and run!’
Crash... Crack... Crack... Crash... Crash... Crash...
A few feet away from them right at the place where gate used to be a wall caved in as a massive two headed troll rams through it.
Grooowl...
It lets out a loud growl which makes many of soldiers there to piss their pants.
Stomp... Stomp...
After a short pause it starts to charge once more, while ignoring the scared soldiers going straight for the buildings.
Out of breath, full of bruses and with his left leg bleeding, the commander Vinces literally slides in front of that two headed monstrosity with his sword drawn. The troll didn’t even put him in his two pair of eyes until one familiar hand appears on commander’s shoulder and a voice. That calm voice that won’t let him sleep even after his death.
‘What does this overgrown mutt thinks he is doing.’
Stomp... Crash... Crash... Stomp...
Immediately, troll stopped in his charge while destroying the ground underneath him.
Crash... Crash...
Terror, pure terror could be seen on troll’s face as he slams his two heads in the ground, hard.
Vinces with not surprised, but nervous look glances behind him to see a vile smile and one red glowing eye.
‘I... I hope you enjoyed your stay here, your excellences.’
‘Well it wasn’t much, but considering this is rural human town it was pretty decent. What I ‘am more interested is why are you still here commander?’
‘That...’
‘We will talk later, please come with us to welcome him.’
‘S... Sure??’
Commander sheets his sword and nervously follows them from behind.
‘You didn’t tell me who we are meeting?’ sais Erin while still possessing the young boy.
‘It is just some brat who can’t even get his basics right. Do you know how many times I needed to hit him when he made a mistake. My head hurts just remembering about it.’
Hahahahahhahahahahahahahaha...
Hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahajahahah...
Screeching laughter could be heard from the other side of the wall.
Ancient Chaos language
‘Hahahaha, after so many times you punched me in the head, I think my should hurt more, hahahaha...’
Step... Step... Step...
Entering through a big hole in the wall were six red orcs that were bigger than the gate itself. With many scars and buff bodies they looked like for all of their lives were spent on fierce battlefield. Unlike others of their kind, they weren’t barbaric while wielding clubs or rusty swords. Wearing custom made armour, wielding a beautiful looking spears and moving in formation. It was a beautiful sight that even made a veteran commander to forget to breathe.
As they walked in they moved to the side making way for him. Towering at least at double the size of other orcs. With dark green skin that could be mistaken for red and black one on the place for arms and legs. This old looking orc had one tusk and a cloth covering his eyes while using a magnificent hammer that looked like an amazing art as a walking stick. Hammer’s proportions were little twisted meaning the handle was long enough to reach orc’s eye level, but the head of it that was above orc’s very own head was smaller than it should be.
Behind the said orc there were still two more orc looking attendees that were around two to three heads bigger than the rest, without a weapon and only one piece of armour.
Tap... Tap...
Biggest orc comes closer to the Damian before going on one knee with his head down. Other orcs follow his lead.
‘I Xugaa the apprentice, greets the master while knelling in front of him to complete the task that he was bestowed upon.’
There is uproar amongst the other orcs like they didn’t know in front of who they are. They quickly lowered their spears on the ground and made a deep bow with a heads kissing the ground while one of them yells
‘T... These unworthy beings bow in front of Second tail of Ru!! And ask for mercy for not recognising your greatness!!!’
‘Hahahahaha, like a bunch of children in front of a demon, hahahahaa...’
Xugaa starts to get back on his feet while asking
‘I also implore the master to spare those poor children as I never told them our reason for coming here.’
‘Ha ha, ignorance can’t be blamed on children, ha ha ha...’
Origin language
‘Damian, what are you talking about? I can’t understand you.’
‘Shit, I forgot. Xugaa could you speak in Origin language? My... friend can’t speak Chaos yet. He is destined to be my new pillar.’
Old Xugaa looks surprised by this statement and make a light bow in front of Erin.
‘Oh, I ‘am terrible sorry for my insensitivity your lordship. Let me introduce myself properly. I ‘am Xugaa, the one of two lord Damian’s apprentices.’
‘E.. Erin, nice to meet you?’
‘Okay enough of formalities. Xugaa, did you brought it?’
There is smile on old orcs face when he lets go of the hammer. The two attendants behind him catch it even before it starts to fall.
‘Of course I brought it. After that most tragic day in our clan’s history and after wiping the tears from my green face, that item didn’t left my side even once.’
Xugaa reached under his grey, plain looking robe and took out what looked like a ceremonial dagger. It was dagger in his hands, but the size was bigger then the human’s greatsword.
Stab...
With a dagger, orc stabs himself right in the stomach and starts to slowly slice it across. After making big enough hole he reached with his hand inside. He didn’t looked in pain as his smile could tell his feeling indefinitely. It was Joy, pure joy as with his hand he takes out black box full of engravings and drenched in blood.
‘So, when you said it didn’t leave your side you meant literally.’
‘Ha ha ha, without me being dead no one was allowed to even see it let alone touch it, ha ha ha ha...’
As he laugh the blood from the box evaporates and wound on his stomach begins to close rapidly.
From his palm the box begins to levitate towards the Damian before stopping right in front of him. With his blue hand he starts to feel it up while gently touching it with the tip of his fingers.
‘This is a nice piece, made out of Black scorned wood from deep within the Abyssal Sea. I don’t believe you two have the skills to even cut it let alone make it.’
‘Master is insightful as always. At first we wanted to make it out of different material, but Lord Ar’on intervened by bringing a big bark of said tree.’
‘Do you think I don’t know that? Judging by these complex sealing runes it was clear as day that it was him.’
‘Yes, he also stated that to break the seal you need the...’
‘Tear of a Fox! How clever you old fuck, literally making the box that not even you can open, ha ha...’
Shine...
Damian’s right eye now visible shines deep crimson and from it a one single dark orange tear begins to form.
‘This box was made only for me and no one in this world can open it.
Drip... Splash... Shine...
Runes immediately light up as box begins to reorganize itself. The pieces from top start to shuffle before finally sets in place with the top open.
It revealed a magnificent set of weapons and one pair of clothes. It contained six daggers, two were bigger with thick black handles that looked like were made from same wood as the box. Blades of those looked like black crystals with red details on them, while other four were smaller and looked the same with a big lope at the handle.
There was a one dark green wooden Bow that looked like letter X with two strings across it. A one magic Staff that was made out of same material as a bow. It had a one rough looking black gem on top and towards it there looked like black corrosion was popping out of the wood.
And lastly the most beautiful looking item, Greatsword. With a white sturdy handle and a pure black blade that was long as Damian itself, it gave of feeling of oppression making Vinces to almost pee his armour.
‘They are beautiful as a day I left them.’
‘Wait, you use weapons?! I thought you use some weird martial arts and magic.’
‘What do you mean weird?! And why would I use those scraps that humans make? It insults the material itself to make those.’
‘Master, I ’am sorry to interrupt, but what are we going to do about those humans outside? They started chanting an hour ago and are about to finish. Even children that surrounded this town left already.’
‘What weaklings, a dozen of them casting such low tier spell for an hour. Just let them, I want to see those happy faces crushed under my foot.’
‘Then I will send my guards for a supp...’
‘No, your task is done now and therefore you will return to the Chaos realm.’
‘Master I know about your impulse, but I must protest about this. In your current condition it would be hard to overcome this. Even ants can kill a wolf if there are enough of them.’
‘What are you trying to say? That I ‘am going to lose to a mere humans!’
‘I dare not, but just in case me and my clansman will stay here and not interrupt if it is not really necessary.’
‘Suit yourself, but if I ‘am not missing a limb or two DON’T spoil my fun!’
‘I will do as you command.’ sais Xugaa with a light bow.
‘Hey Vinces, lets talk a bit.’
Damian puts an arm around the commander that is trying really hard to stay calm in front of these few giants and they walk a little bit further from Erin and the rest.
Xugaa now turned his attention towards the young spirit.
‘Lord Erin, may I be so rude as to assume that young lord is a newly born Chaos spirit and this is not your real body?’
‘Y... Yes, that’s right. My real body is fused with Damian’s soul.’
‘I had a hunch when I sensed that faint connection with the master, but I didn’t knew that it was that serious. Now that you two share one soul it would be enough to say that you are another part of a master making your status no lower than his.’
‘Lord Xugaa, can I call you like that?’
‘Please young master, if front of you I ‘am no lord.’
‘Then Xugaa may I ask you a question?’
‘If it is within my ability, I will gladly give you an answer.’
‘Who, no what is Damian!’
There is troubled look on Xugaa’s face before saying
‘Hm, that is hard to answer as I don’t have permission to say it. Let’s just say that he is many things with dangerous mood swings. Let me give you some advice, NEVER anger him or he will even kill himself in order for you to suffer.’
If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
‘I... It is that serious?!’
‘How do you think he left this world in first place.’
Gulp...
At the same time Damian held private conversation with the commander.
‘Tell me Vinces, do you know what I like the most?’
‘I dare not to guess.’
‘You are no fun, huh. It is unique beings just like you.’
‘I... I... I ‘am nobody, how can I be unique?!’
‘You are unique in your own way. Did you see anyone else bow to a demon except you?’
‘N... No...’
‘Did you knew what happens when a bunch of unique beings gather at one place?’
‘N... No I don’t...’
‘Neither do I, that’s why it is fun. Now tell me for what are you dying on this day, so that I can see if it was worthy death.’
‘Your excellency would be bored by my answer.’
‘It seams that you are prepared for it.’ sais Damian with a smile before with his right hand piercing straight through Vinces’s heart.
Cough...
Commander coughs blood violently with a smile as Damian sais
‘And don’t worry, I will not touch those two that run away. Sleep well commander.’
At that moment the mighty Commander Vinces that commanded all 200 regular soldiers in mining town Galeshade, beloved husband, father and friend of many, lets out his final breath as a first ray of light shined upon his dead corpse.
‘CASTING’
‘Young lord, I will advise you to disable nerves on that body.’
‘Why??’
‘... 7TH CIRCLE COMBINED FIRE MAGIC...’
‘Well, if you are into feeling pain just know that I have nothing against it.’
‘Uh, right.’
‘FIRE STORM’
Wwvvvvvoooooooooossssshhhhhhhhh...
Boom...
Crackle... Crackle...
Crash... Crackle... Crash...
Crackle... Crackle...
In the span of few seconds the entire town was engulfed in flames. Wood burned instantly and stone was melting all the while a countless screams could be heard from people being burned alive.
Like everything around him, Erin’s body also bursts in violent flames, but he didn’t screamed even when his flesh was melting or when his bones turned to ash. He didn’t feel anything as on place where his physical body stood now a spiritual one is floating.
Outside of burning town at the frontlines of human army, soldiers are celebrating while yelling
‘IT WAS A HIT’
Or
‘DEMON IS VANQUISHED’
But, on the left a one part of the army wasn’t so happy about it.
‘THOSE MORONS, FOR WHAT ARE THEY CHEERING’
‘Please calm down my lord, it is already done!’
‘HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO CALM DOWN RUSS, WE JUST NOW WITH OUR OWN HANDS KILLED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE, DIDN’T YOU HEARD THEIR CRIES’
‘OF COURSE I HEARD IT, but what is done can’t be undone. What we can do now is to ensure that their sacrifice wasn’t in vain! Our mage is the middle of feeling the life force to determine the outcome of this. Lets go to see what did they found.’
‘Sure lets go, but remember this. All deaths that could be prevented are deaths in vain.’
‘I will keep that in mind my lord.’
‘LORD SERID’
One of the soldiers comes running towards the Serid.
‘IT IS AN EMERGENCY’
‘SPEAK, what happened!’
‘T... T... The mage that was searching for s... survivors...’
Serid grabbed poor scared soldier by the shoulders and looked him in the eyes.
‘SPEAK DAMMIT, WHAT ABOUT THE MAGE’
‘A... After he said that he sensed something he... he... he...’
‘WHAT’
‘He dropped dead on the floor!’
While shivering Serid lets go of soldier’s shoulders before clenching his fists in shier anger.
‘Those... Those fatherfucking shits, how dare they underestimate demons. ALL TROOPS BATTLE FORMATION, THIS IS NOT OVER YET IT IS ONLY BEGINNING’
As flames are already dying out leaving only ruins and piles of ash, a certain demon is standing in the middle of it. His clothes were all burned up and part of his human skin became black. He walks towards the others that don’t look even a slightly fazed by the spell.
‘I told you Master that your current condition is not the best and you can’t do much with only third of your soul.’
‘What, this?’
Damian’s burned skin quickly regenerates leaving only blue skin on those places.
‘Why would this concern me.’
He stops in front of floating black box and starts to take items out of it. First he took out clothes and put it on. It contained the chest piece that covered only upper half of it with many engravings on it, made out of black silk with the details golden. Lower part was only really short pants that were well above his knees, but at the same time low enough to hide that what he is packing.
In the box under the clothes there were two types of cloths and one long but thin black bone. He took the bone and placed it under his right arm, from wrist and all the way across his forearm before wrapping it with white cloth that had engravings as many as there was space. The other cloth was black in colour and looked like a normal hair ribbon that Damian puts around his neck as his hair is still not long enough.
Next he goes for a weapons. First was the staff, Damian just glanced at it before putting it behind his back. But, on what? There was nothing behind that could hold it when runes on clothes shined a little making it to float a few inches away from Damian’s back. He did same with bow and the greatsword, but daggers he put to float around his pants with four smaller ones on the side and two big ones behind.
‘I missed this.’
‘Wait, you are going to use them all?!’
‘Of course, I wouldn’t have them if I ‘am not going to use them. Xugaa, I will need a helping hand for a moment.’
‘It would be my pleasure to be of a service to the master.’ Sais Xugaa as he stretched out his arm and opened up his palm.
Damian eagerly jumped on it while saying
‘You know what to do.’
‘Of course.’
Xugaa with the other hand moved his robe out of the way revealing that his right arm on what Damian was at, was at least a double the size of his left. Veins on his arm were popping as he takes a step forward and...
‘Aim for the centre!’
‘Your word is...’
Boom...
‘MY COMMAND’
Wvvoooooshhhh...
With a swing of his hand in what he put all of his strength, Xugaa launched Damian in the air straight towards the incoming army.
Erin looked mortified before yelling
‘WHY DID YOU...’
Like he was ripped from space itself, Erin disintegrated on the spot.
‘Y... Young lord??’
Wwvvvvvoooooooooossssshhhhhhhh...
Wvvoooooshhhh...
Wvoooooosssshhhhhhhh...
From the skies above, the entire army could be seen. From front to the back, from right wing to the left wing. There could even be seen a military camp on the far rear. Army looked too relaxed like they weren’t trained soldiers, but bandits that made it big. Well, except one wing...
‘MOVE ARCHERS MORE BACK, SEND SCOUTS TO SEE WHAT ARE WE DEALING WITH AND...’
‘Reporting to the lord!’
‘SPEAK’
‘Me and my squad went as you instructed to warn other commanders, but... but they laughed at us while speaking that now even commoners want achievements.’
‘THOSE FUCKERS, DO I NEED TO SMASH THEIR HEADS BEFORE THEY REA...’
Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhaha...
‘... realise??’
Wwvooooooosssshhhhhhhh...
‘Ha ha ha ha, how amusing, like a children without care in the world!’
Now a falling demon with a sinister smile grabs the staff from his back and waves with it. Staff creates five circles around him and without casting he sais with five different voices at the same time
‘Casting 4th circle enchantment magic – Impact resistance’
‘Casting 5th circle enchantment magic – Superior strength’
‘Casting 5th circle enchantment magic – Superior reflexes’
‘Casting 5th circle enchantment magic – Superior Mana concentration’
‘Casting 6th circle enchantment magic – Greater ability boost’
Circles fused with Damian’s body when
‘Let me show you how it is done!’
He starts chanting when in different directions from him the three same red circles start to form. As he finishes after a moment his eyes turned burning red when he sais
‘Triple Casting peak 7th circle fire magic’
‘Everyone get down!!!’
‘FIRE STORM ULTIMA’
Crackle... Crackle... Crackle...
Wvvoooossshhhhhh...
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...
Screams of people being burned alive, screams of people being burnt by intense heat and screams of people that saw that could be heard echoing through battlefield as vanguard of all three fronts kept on burning. Army was in disarray, some trying to get in the formation, some trying to run away and some couldn’t move out of pure shock.
Damian who was the source of this while grinning discarded his staff that like it was pulled to it, returned onto his back. On both of his middle fingers a black ring forms. Out of it a pitch black chain emerged connecting it with two bigger daggers.
Wvvvoooooossshhhh...
Wvooosshhhh...
His momentum becomes slower and slower until in the middle of panicked soldiers he lands on top of his toes carrying no momentum at all.
Wvvvvooooooooooooooossshhhhhh...
With what looked like all momentum from fall Damian starts to spin in place with his daggers out. With each spin chain became longer and instantly 100ft. in all directions heads were sent flying before retracting daggers back in his hands.
‘This smell, how long was it that I could smell blood of many mixed in the air. So refreshing!’
‘THREW... him??’
A few feet away from Damian Erin appears from thin air, confused.
‘D... Damian... I was just now in front of Xugaa, how are you here or...’
He looks around seeing fire behind him, corpses of many beneath him and scared soldiers around him.
‘... where am ‘I?’
‘I guess that your spiritual body can’t be to far from...’
‘D... D... DEMO...’
Stab...
‘How annoying, stay there for a moment.’ sais Erin after he pierced soldier’s throat with a spike.
He lifts his hand up and above it a black sphere forms. From it a countless black spikes come raining down on nearby soldiers.
‘What were you saying again?’
Hahahahahahahahahahaha...
Demon bursts out laughing almost falling down on the ground.
‘Ha ha ha, to think you would kill your own kind without a thought, ha ha, I thought that we are going to work on it, but it seams like that was no longer an issue, ha ha...’
‘What is there to think about? Do you know that I know more demons then humans that were good to me, that shows you how doomed is humanity.’
‘That is were you are wrong. If you don’t have the power in demon’s eyes you are worst than a food, but if you have the power than you are higher than the king.’
‘I will keep that in mind. Now how do we deal with this?’
Erin glanced at soldiers fleeing from the spikes, unsuccessfully.
‘There are a lot of them, even you would run out of energy if you fought so many.’
‘Didn’t I tell you? My skills shine most when I ‘am against many.’
Sigh...
‘Okay, how can I help.’
‘I don’t know, what do you say about making a bet?’
‘What kind?’
‘What do you mean what kind, isn’t it obvious?’
‘I don’t know, it sounds a little childish to me. Shouldn’t you take this somewhat seriously?’
‘Your mouth talks shit, but that hand behind you sais something else.’
From Erin’s left hand a black mist comes out like it was dancing in his palm.
‘Well unlike you grandpa I was born few hours ago, so...’
Hahahahahahahha...
‘Ha ha, them by that logic wasn’t I born at same time as you, ha...’
‘I guess you have a point, ha ha ha...’
In middle of people screaming in pain while they are burnt alive or screams of soldiers getting impaled in the ground, a sinister laughter could be heard coming from two demons before they vanished in thick black mist.
‘STOP, I SAID TO STOP YOU COWARDS’
Slash...
In the middle of vast panic a one person that looked like some kind of commander killed one of his own man that was trying to run away.
‘HEAR MY COMMAND, WHO EVER TRIES TO RUN THEY ARE GUILTY FOR TREASON AND ARE TO BE PUT TO DEATH IMMEDIATELY’
Many soldiers who heard him stopped in their track, while others who were to terrified to listen were striked by their own. Even when they stopped they didn’t dare to go in.
‘What are you waiting for, there are only two of them, now CHARG...’
Wvvoooossshhhhhh...
In instant while commander was giving an order a big hole appeared in middle of his stomach. He fell on cold ground with at least 20 to 30 soldiers that were behind him in a straight line.
Many soldiers were left speechless while veteran ones only glanced at big ball of black mist in front of them. As mist gradually diminished they could see a one horned demon holding a bow and smiling. Mass panic ensued! No one cared about treason and no one had time to stop them as they started to run alongside those.
‘Erin I will give you head start. You take care of the middle while I run to the left.’
‘Ah ah, suure...’
As mist lifts it reveals Erin’s pitch black body with his hair having a slight red colour and...
Growl... Aaaaa... Graa...
Behind him there were three abominations made out of dead soldiers flesh and blood.
First one was same as the last, a blob of grounded up flesh with quite a number of heads on long tentacle like necks. Only difference between this and previous one is that this had a total of 87 heads that didn’t cried in pain and was a few times bigger than the one with fourteen.
Second that came crawling out was giant centipede like monster with a few hundred human legs and arms as its own.
And lastly third one was a little different It was taller than the many head one, but thinner then the centipede. With very thin and long three arms and four legs that were covered with iron shields and a big number of swords while being drenched in blood made human army to stop running with sheer pressure and bloodlust. Few fainted while some pissed themselves.
‘About that bet you, haa, mentioned. Can I ask what are the stakes?’
‘Come on Erin, wouldn’t it be more interesting to decide that later?’
‘Do as you like, but don’t come crawling back when I ask something outrageous. Now my pets, go forth and trample on everything in your way.’
Grooooowl...
Grr...
Hahahahahahahaha...
With a vile laugh and excited look in his eyes he lets go of the bow that slowly floats to the Damian’s back before grabbing the massive Greatsword.
‘Ha ha ha, lets see if that shithole of a mouth can back those words up, ha ha...’
With one hand Damian raised greatsword high in the air and sais
Ancient Chaos language
‘My word your order, my order your law, my presence your existence. Now I command thee – Release seals Vei and Sair!’
Two out of nine runes that were engraved on the blade shine for a moment before the entire blade turn to smoke like existence.
Origin language
‘Erin, let me show you why you are not strong as you think you are, let me show you a part of my strength that I once possessed.’
Ancient Chaos language
‘DIVIDE, living’
‘DIVIDE, dead’
Smoke like blade became longer and longer every time he sais Divide, like the blade was reacting to it.
‘DIVIDE, sorrow’
‘DIVIDE, pain’
‘DIVIDE, soul’
‘DIVIDE, existence’
Slight pause...
‘DIVIDE ONESELF’
Everyone in all directions of the battlefield could now see a massive black blade stretching out in the sky. Damian slowly puts another hand of the handle before saying
‘Show them power of True, show them a power of mine, show them a power of...’
Slash...
‘CHAOS DIVIDER’
Tremble... Tremble... Crack... Tremble... Crack...
With all his might Damian strikes down at the ground, earth opens up creating a massive crater longer then the blade. Maybe a 100 or so feet around the place where ground split not even dead bodies, let alone somebody breathing could be seen.
Aaaaaaaaaaaa...
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...
Few living that were closest to it and were only slightly grazed by black smoke watched as that part of their bodies turned to ash before wind blowing it off.
Origin language
‘Damian! That was impressive, but did you forget about head start you gave... me... Are you alright?’
Erin comes closer to the Damian as he saw something a miss.
‘I guess, that releasing two seals were to much for my current body.’
Seven fingers on Damian’s hands were pitch black before crumbling down on the ground. As soon as they fell, on right hand with a slight glow grew two missing fingers but for his left one a purplish veins pop out from his blue side of the body and going straight towards the hand. When reached a five missing fingers grew with blue skin on.
With all fingers intact he grabs Divider that was floating around him at the moment and...
Ancient Chaos language
‘My dear, my kin, I ‘am afraid that you are too powerful for current me. By my Command – Seal Vei, seal Sair’
A greatsword which blade resembled a black smoke with a few words became dormant once more.
‘But fear not, as you will not sleep for too long again.’
Origin language
‘Did you bring me back from death just to ignore me! Sigh, I should know better then to worry about you.’
‘Okay, okay, sorry about this, I got carried away. Take this as clearing a path to my side.’
‘I could take it as that if you cleared the opposite side, you know the one that you said you are going to do.’
‘Ha, um, ha, what are you talking about... I remember saying their left, ha.’
‘Whatever, but you should hurry up. My pets aren’t going easy on you.’
Damian looks up at the battlefield to see retreating human soldiers being crushed, eaten and ripped apart by three monstrosities.
‘Then, I should better get going.’
Sais Damian with smirk when with a slight push off the ground he launched himself a dozen of feet towards the ravine before falling in it.
Boom...
Wvvoooooshhhh...
Crack... Crack...
As he was falling down the tight but deep hole, with a right leg he propelled himself off the wall forward leaving behind a part of ravine that started to cave in.
Damian quickly takes out his two daggers and...
Wvoooooosssshhhhhhhh...
Crack...
... launched one forward towards distant ravine wall as it sticks into it. Once more a black ring forms on his finger and chain appears connecting him and the dagger. He grabbed the chain and...
Wvoooooosssshhhhhhhh...
Wvooooooooosssshhhhhhhhhh...
... pulled it with all his might launching himself forward again. Chain quickly dissipate into thin air as Damian throws the other one even further, but before connecting with it while passing through this tight space he grabbed the dagger that he threw first without losing momentum.
‘Let’s see how fun is this side, he he!’
Meanwhile while centre and right flank of the army where in disarray, the left was...
‘BATTLE REPORTS NOW’
‘My lord, entire front lines were engulfed in flames. It is very chaotic back there as centre and right army broke the formation. At this point deserters are too much to count.’
‘What about casualties!?
‘We are not sure about other fronts, but we suffered at least thousand to two thousand soldiers out of which two thirds were from our c... camp...’
Soldier that was speaking immediately shuts up when he saw menacing Serid’s eyes burning with anger.
‘Huh, Russ what is situation from your side?’
‘After seeing those things our soldiers also had a panic attack, but it was quickly subdued. Out of the entire army, our soldiers are most prepared.’
‘Good, quickly reorganize and march towards the centre. We need to quickly get this situation under the control or we are all going to d...
Tremble... Crack... Crack... Tremble... Crack...
Entire camp earthquake suddenly strike that lasted for couple of breaths before finally subsiding.
‘What... WHAT WAS THAT’
‘REPORTING’
‘Speak, what was that. Did it come from battlefield.’
‘My lord, just now there was a massive flash of light and... and...’
‘SPEAK’
‘In the instant, centre of the army was split in two with approximately few thousand soldiers as a collateral!’
There was unpleasant silence in the air when Russ...
‘Don’t be stupid, did you see well. How can that possib... happen.’
Before Russ even finished Serid ran out of tent that they were in, pushing Russ aside. Their camp was stationed on top of a small hill, so that they could better see situation on the battlefield. He ran past a few couple guards, past workers that were building a rough watchtower and past numerus soldiers that were in daze of what they saw.
‘GET OUT OF WAY, LET ME THRU’
Yelled Serid as he was trying to get to the front, but none of the soldiers didn’t even acknowledged his presence. As he finally gets in front of this mess, he like the rest was left speechless. Only one sentence escaped his mouth...
‘This... This is no battle, but a massacre.’
He sais it while watching centre of the army being torn apart by unknown monsters and right flank running in terror. After a couple of moments he looked up towards the rear, but no one was there. Thought finally sinked in and face of terror quickly turned into anger as Serid lets out a wave of red energy waking everyone up in the process.
‘Those... Those... THOSE FATHERFUCKING LITTLE SHITS, SO YOU LEFT US TO DIE, HA HA HA HA, IF I SURVIVE THIS A PROMISE ON MY OATH THAT I WILL RIP YOU APART AND FEED YOU TO PIGS THAT YOU ARE, HA HA HA HA HA’
‘LORD, COME TO YOUR SENSE’
Yells Russ while groaning in pain as he tried to touch Serid to snap him out but was only hurt by the energy coming out of him. Serid hears him and quickly stabilize his energy without extinguishing it.
‘Russ my friend, can you do me my last favour?’
‘L... Last, what are you sayi...’
‘WE DON’T HAVE TIME’
With all his might Serid yells while his voice echoes through the camp.
‘When I released my aura just now, I, sensed it.’
‘WHAT’
‘Of course, the thing that started this.’
Everyone who heard him could feel like their hearts are about to burst open and some dropped on the floor crying, but no sound came out of them.
‘How... How long do we have?’
‘Not even to say our goodbyes, ha ha.’
‘WHAT DO YOU MEAN OUR GOODBYES, WHERE YOU GO I WILL, sob, FOLLOW’
Russ’s eyes appear full of tears while grabbing Serid’s clothes.
‘Not today my friend.’
Serid puts a hand on wiping tiny Russ and whispers in his ear
‘I will leave my son in your hands.’
‘Do... Do you wish for him to know?’
‘Beside me only you knew and I would like it to stay that way, beside what good is it for him to know a father who died like a fool.’
Russ gets on the floor wiping like a child, as Serid steps forward.
‘LISTEN TO MY FINAL ORDER, BY THE WILL OF A KING WHO BESTOWED THIS TITLE UPON ME I VISCOUNT SERID DE ELERGAR ISSUE A FULL SCALE ARMY RETREAT, IT WAS MY GREATEST HONOUR FIGHTING BESIDE YOU’
His voice echoed through the entire battlefield, even reaching the ears of retreating rear army.
‘That idiot, who gave him permission to do that. He is supposed to buy us some time. I can’t wait for father to hear it.
‘Excellently said my lord, who that peasant think he is. After this if he dies his corpse will be treated like a war criminal and hang of the gate of his fortress for hundred years to come, ha ha ha...’
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...
‘What an interesting human this is.’
Sound like a thunder could be heard coming from the ravine as a menacing figure emerged from it high in the air while two daggers were floating around him further then the arms reach. He takes out the bow and aims it high in the air.
‘Let's see if you can retreat from this.’
Ancient Chaos language
‘Release seal Sarin’
Bow starts to give of unpleasant light as his shape transforms from two bows stuck together to five.
‘Execute First form – Soul Shatterer’
It looked like a Goddess is giving them a heavenly punishment as numerous black arrows shot out targeting every soldier in the vicinity. They tried to run, but no matter how fast or how hard they ran arrows were faster. One arrow one soldier one soul. Those that arrow hit fell on the ground without wound on them. One hit one death.
Arrows didn’t slow down even after everyone in the vicinity was dead and kept on going towards the camp. A single soul was not spared, not even elderly soldiers that survived countless battlefields, not even young ones that joined the army to help their sick parents. Arrows rained forward, but while many were running the one of them stepped towards the upcoming death and yelled...
Origin language
‘I SERID DE ELERGAR, THE FORMER VISCOUNT OF MIGHTY KINGDOM OF ROSSARIC, CHALLANGE THEE TO THE BATTLE OF STRONG, TO THE BATTLE OF SOUL’
Immediately every single arrow stopped middair while quickly turning to black smoke and gathering at one place a dozen or so feet away from Serid. Out of smoke comes out a half human half demon with blue skin, one long horn and silky white hair.
‘What a crazy shit of a human you are, let's see if you can back those words up, ha ha ha...’
Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha...
