My name was Collin Parker. I was on my way to my job after I dropped my younger sister, Nora, off at her high school. It was a busy day on the road; it seemed like everyone was making way to work that morning in our small town. Everything as going fine on my way to work that day, but a bus decided to run a red light and hit my car on the driver's side. Sadly... I did not survive. At this point I wonder how my sisteris doing. I'm not sure how much time has passed at this point. All I have been doing since I have died has been looking up at the sky and watching the clouds and the dragons flying overhe- Wait! DRAGONS! WHERE THE HELL AM I!?, I exclaimed in my head with terror in my eyes.
I proceeded to stand up and began to look at my surroundings. It looked as if I was in a normal forest, but the thing was it couldn't be a "normal" forest; I just saw a bloody dragon. "What the hell is going on?", I said outloud. As soon as I finished speaking I realized that my voice... my voice sounded like a woman's voice. I felt my heart race as I began to panic once more. The best bet is probably trying to find a source of water, then I can use it to quench my thirst when needed and also look at my reflection to see what has happened to me. So, I began my search...
After several hours of searching, I found a small lake next to an extremely large tree. The tree was ten times larger than the rest of the trees in the forest and the lake was so clear that you can see the fish in it. As I walked closer to the lake, I felt my heart beat extremely fast. The fear of what my appearance was now began to get to me. I droped down to my knees and leaned over the lake just enough to see my reflection... What I saw wasn't horrifying, but it was a huge shock. What I saw was a woman that looked as if she was in her early twenties with long silver hair and a slightly pail skin tone. Then I saw my eyes; they were the color of flawless rubies, but my pupils look as if they were a cat's.
It was shocking for me, especially since I died and woke up in a new world. Now I have to live as a woman even though I have all of my memories of a twenty-five year old man. Tons of questions began to pop up into my head; just trying to figure out all of the answers got me flustered. Instead of trying to figure things out, I decided to focus on the task at hand. I should try to set up camp for the night and try to find some food as well, I thought to myself.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
While not trying to stray off too far; I began to gather resources such as wood, leaves, vines, herbs... basically anything and everything I belived I could use to survive the rest of the day. It took a couple hours to get enough supplies, but I got enough for a small lean-to, a fire pit and a place to store any extra supplies I had gathered. It didn't take long to finish making everything, but it took a lot of energy. I felt my stomach growl at me. What was needed next was food and the herbs I gathered won't suffice. I grabbed one of the long sticks I aquired and a thin, sharp rock. Then I proceeded to make the tip of the stick sharp enough, so that even the slightest touch of the tip could pierce the skin. Once I finished sharpening the stick; I heard a ping and a small, back rectangular screen-like thing pop up in front of me. It said...
Handcrafted Sharp Stick (Weapon) Aquired
The screen faded away after a few seconds while I sat there confused. It seemed like one of those RPG games that I saw my younger sister play with her friends from school. It was a very different world I was in compared to my original world. Daylight was burning and I still needed to find food, so I stopped thinking about it and took my stick and walked into the lake. I kept walking until I was knee deep in the water and then stood as still as I could. After a few minutes the fish began to swim near my feet. I continued to wait until I saw a fish that was big enough for me to eat. It didn't take much longer until I saw a good enough fish. Whenever it got close enough, I aimed the tip of the stick an inch ahead of the fish and threw it down at it.
After catching the fish I went back to my lean-to and descale, gut and clean the fish before I cooked it. At this point the sun is almost down over the horizon while I started cooking the fish. I wrapped the fish in large wet leaves in the hopes that the fish wouldn't burn to a crisp. It took only a few minutes for the fish to finish cooking and as soon as it was done I grabbed it and ate it like I never eaten anything my entire life. I felt great after eating, so great that I fell right asleep once I was done. As I began to fall asleep, I started to wonder about how my sister was doing. I hope she is doing ok. I did die in a sudden way as well. I kinda hoped I would live long enough to see her get married or long enough to see myself get married, I thought.
My world is about to be flipped upside down again with the events that are soon to come... in the next few chapters.
